ALBAWABA - Jennifer Aniston and Selena Gomez will always support one another.
The Morning Show executive producer, 55, and Emilia Pérez star, 32, joined together with their beauty firms, LolaVie and Rare Beauty, to co-host an inspiring Galentine's Day event at the San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 5.
The celebrities, dressed all in black, talked candidly about their lifelong friendship while interacting and taking pictures with a small group of women.
Regarding Aniston, Gomez said, "I've known Jen for over a decade now, and she's someone I've always looked up to... she's always been there for me," during the celebration. She also revealed that Rare Beauty's new Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush would be available for early access to those in the United States and Canada in late March.
"It's nice to have people in your life who can just be there and hear you out and [give] me great advice," said Gomez.
Aniston and Gomez are said to "sister-mother each other equally as best as we can." Aniston also plans to release a Peptide Plumping Volume Spray for her LolaVie line.
The Friends star spoke briefly on the recent fires in the Los Angeles area during their welcome comments, becoming tearful as she considered the "really hard couple of weeks" for the community.
"I hope that everyone is secure and doing well. "It's been difficult," Aniston remarked.
Later in the evening, Aniston and Gomez made fun of their common friend Paul Rudd before heading to the screening room to watch Clueless.
Aniston mockingly remarked, "We felt his career is having a little bit of a dip... thought it would be good to just remind everyone who Paul Rudd is," in reference to the film they had chosen for the evening. He "still looks the same age as he did when I met him."

Gomez, who co-starred with Rudd in the 2016 film The Fundamentals of Caregiving and later appeared alongside him in Only Murders in the Building, joked, "I've kept him good, but then I send him back to you."
In 2015, Gomez first talked about her relationship with Aniston, telling KTU that they were able to bond because they shared management teams.
Gomez claimed that Aniston was an influence on her as a child. "It was kind of like a friendly meeting, and instantly she's, like, inviting me to her house," Gomez added. She's really kind and cool, plus she has a pizza oven. She sort of gives me a lot of advice that sounds like it comes from a mother.

NieR's Yoko Taro: AI will make all game creators unemployed in 50 years

Published April 30th, 2025 - 10:57 GMT ALBAWABA - Japanese director Yoko Taro, best known for working on titles such as NieR: Automata, sparked widespread concern on social media after predicting that AI (artificial intelligence) will cause game developers to lose their jobs. In an interview with Famitsu, Yoko Taro and other famous Japanese game directors, such as Kotaro Uchikoshi, were asked about the future of adventure games. Both Taro and Uchikoshi raised AI as a subject of concern, as reported by IGN. While Uchikoshi still expressed his interest in creating new games, he feared AI-generated games would become more mainstream. Additionally, the director added that AI still struggles with "brilliant writing" and lacks creativity, which humans still excel at. On the contrary, NieR's Yoko Taro predicted that AI might take over game creators' jobs in 50 years. AI予想。補足すると、・AIで一般の人が全員クリエイターになる。・クリエイターでは食えなくなる。・でも作りたい人は食えなくても作る。 という感じなんだけど、僕の未来予想はほとんど外れるので気にしないでいいです。 — yokotaro (@yokotaro) April 30, 2025 In a new post on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter), Taro responded to IGN's post about him claiming that AI will "turn ordinary people to creators" and that it will not be possible to make a living as a creator in the future. Moreover, he did add that all these predictions should be taken with a grain of salt since they "are almost always wrong so don't worry about it." Many artists already fear AI taking over their jobs across various art forms such as drawing, music, voice acting, and many more professions. Several also take to social media daily to protest against the creation of AI-generated content. ChatGPT recently sparked outrage after one of its users generated himself alongside his family in Hayao Miyazaki's iconic studio Ghibli art style. Many artists called the trend "disrespectful" to Miyazaki's career as a beloved artist and director. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (
