Lindsay Lohan Reveals the ‘Selfish' Reason She's Ready for Another Baby
Lindsay Lohan is busier than ever. Her highly anticipated Freaky Friday sequel is releasing this August, she was just announced as star and executive producer of a TV series Count My Lies, and, oh yeah, she's raising her almost 2-year-old son Luai with husband Bader Shammas. Still, she wants to be a little bit 'selfish' — and she just revealed she's ready for baby number two.
The Mean Girls alum, who is the cover star of Elle in a new feature released online today, shared that she wants another baby. 'I feel like we live in a different world now, where women make it such a point, especially in motherhood, to make time for ourselves,' Lohan said. 'We make it important.' It's true — and it's a good thing, even! — but at the same time, sometimes it's OK for moms to overextend themselves just a little bit for your kids.

'But also, once you have one kid, you're like, 'Oh, my kid needs a kid to play with,'' she continued, adding, 'I'm like, 'He needs a friend.' Even though things are chaotic, she wants to go through it all again with another baby so her child will have at least one sibling. Which make sense! Lohan has three younger siblings herself, so it makes sense she wants more kids. I come from a family of six, and my first two kids were 18 months apart because I wanted my oldest to have a sibling as well.
In the interview, Lohan said 'there's nothing like [the bond of siblings].' But there is also a more 'selfish' reason for wanting another baby. 'Also, I don't know if it's selfish — but I'm like, 'I need more than one kid to take care of me when I'm older,'' she said. Personally, I don't think she's selfish at all! I'm thankful that I have many siblings to help share the load of caring for my parents when they're older too.
This isn't the first time Lohan has talked about more kids. In an interview on TODAY with her Irish Wish co-star Ayesha Curry in March 2024, Lohan said, per PEOPLE, 'of course I do' about having more kids.
'Do you want four like Ayesha?' host Hoda Kotb asked.
'I mean, you never know,' Lohan responded. 'Let's go for a second first. But I love having siblings. I feel so blessed to have other siblings to be able to hang with and talk to and relate with. I would love to have more. I want my son to have that same experience.'
So sweet! One thing's for sure: Lohan is glowing since becoming a mom. She told Elle in the interview today, 'It's the most important thing — my husband, my son, and me,' The Parent Trap star said. 'It's all about balance and, as I said, routine. Especially when you have a kid, routine is the most important thing. And whatever their routine is, I've got to live by that.'

Nicole Kidman Reveals What Her New Wig Says About Masha in 'Nine Perfect Strangers' Season 2
The new season of Nine Perfect Strangers is treating us to a number of things: huge plot twists, an A-list cast, and a new Nicole Kidman wig. In season 1, Kidman's character Masha sports long, flowing locks that made headlines when the show premiered in 2021. But as season 2 travels to the Austrian Alps, Masha is now rocking a sharp, fringed bob. The hairstyle denotes a darker, sharper side to Masha, as Kidman herself explained to Variety. 'Everything is very specific. It's chosen for a reason because she's got very strong intentions and agendas,' the actress said. The second season finds Masha in a fictional resort, Zauberwald, where a new group of strangers come to find wellness and healing under her questionable methods. When Kidman was shown options by her hairdresser and makeup artists Noriko Watanabe, she only had to see one wig. 'It's very quick,' Kidman said. 'We just came up with the character and vibe, how she should be and what she should look for.' The actor also told Variety she was thrilled to have 'free rein' this season, as the story wasn't based on a book like the first season, which was based on Liana Moriarty's novel. She added it was 'fun to play' a woman with power. 'So many times, I play women that are in a very precarious place emotionally and Masha is just a badass.' Kidman previously spoke to ELLE about supporting women behind the camera too. 'I'm surrounded by great women and I understand all the aspects of different women, because we have so many women in our family,' she said. 'I feel very, very safe and very at home.'

I Can't Leave The House Without This $16 Lip Balm
Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. Every day before I leave the house, I go through what I like to call my P.W.G. checklist: phone, wallet, and gloss. Fun fact: Ever since I was a teenager, having a lip gloss on me at all times was just as important as having my ID. So you can imagine how many glosses I've accumulated over the years. However, recently, the Topicals Slick Salve has outperformed all other formulas and remains my top choice. I can vividly remember the first time I tried the Slick Salve. One day, I was sitting on my living room couch as my roommate walked in excited from having just attended the Topicals product launch event for said gloss. She talked for a while about the evening and how much she loved the formula, and eventually tossed a sample of the balm over to me to try right away. The first thing I noticed was how the applicator curved to fit my lips. It's soft, silicone curved tip made for easy and smooth application, and before I could even think about the applicator for too long, I was captivated by the minty tingling of the balm. The consistency was thick and smooth with a sticky feeling, which was perfect for a gloss obsessive like myself. After years shuffling between MAC's Lipglass and the one-dollar beauty supply store glosses that are always strategically placed right at the checkout counter, I'd grown to prefer this particular texture of glosses—the stickier the better. The stickiness is courtesy of the brand's patented cling technology, which uses polymers to bind the balm to the lips, providing long-lasting treatment. Even better, the formula combines nourishing ingredients, like ceramides, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, to hydrate your lips throughout the day. 'It's an innovation that gives you a long-lasting lip balm you don't have to reapply constantly, although you'll want to,' says Dr. Tracey Hicks-Kearse, head of product development at Topicals. I can agree that I do find myself reapplying the gloss even when I don't necessarily have to. With its glossy look and comfortable feel, I underestimated how moisturizing the formula is. Most days, when I apply the balm in the morning, I can still feel it on my lips well into the day, even after eating meals. Though the initial gloss might wear down after a few hours—which is still a pretty long-lasting shine—my lips never feel dry. The hype is well-deserved. There was such high demand for the gloss that Topicals released a newer iteration, a pigmented deep plum shade called Acai. While Slick Salve certainly has a legion of fans, a product with that much popularity also has its detractors, many of whom find the consistency a bit too sticky. Even so, the brand founder, Olamide Olowe, eventually took to TikTok herself in a 10-minute video to discuss the Slick Salve formula. 'When we were developing Slick Salve, we focused on those with extremely chapped or dry lips,' said Olowe. 'It's a heavier formula that not a lot of people have tried before. I can honestly say that this lip balm might not be for everyone because of that.' But even for those who weren't attracted to the thick consistency, Olowe invites discourse around her products as she encourages people to research and learn what works best for them while having empathy for others with varying opinions. In my experience, the balm has been a huge help in repairing my dry lips and is now a signature part of my makeup routine paired with my favorite brown lip liners. At this point, I've purchased so many tubes of Slick Salve that I keep one in just about every bag I own for safe measure. Last year, I even asked for it for my family's secret santa Christmas exchange, so I think I've earned my status as a certified Spottie Hottie (the official name for dedicated Topicals fans). So, just as I always make sure my phone is charged before leaving home, I double-check to ensure I have at least one Slick Salve on hand to complete my checklist.

Lindsay Lohan Says 'Freaky Friday' Sequel Is a ‘Love Letter' to Iconic Movie House that Burned Down
The Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, hits theaters on Aug. 8 During an interview with Elle, Lohan said the film is "such an homage" to California and pays tribute to her character's home from the 2003 film The real home was destroyed in the deadly wildfires that swept through Los Angeles earlier this yearFreakier Friday is sentimental for Lindsay Lohan in more ways than one. Ahead of the highly-anticipated Freaky Friday sequel hitting theaters on Aug. 8, Lohan, 38, opened up to Chloe Fineman for a May 27 interview with Elle about filming the upcoming movie in Los Angeles. The actress — who stars in the remake of the 2003 classic alongside Jamie Lee Curtis — told Fineman that the sequel feels like a tribute to the areas impacted by the tragic wildfires that swept through L.A. in January. The property that was used as her character Anna Coleman's home in the original movie sadly burned down during the natural disaster. 'The film is such an homage to California after the fires, because we shot a lot in the Palisades and in Malibu,' Lohan said. 'Even the house — the original Freaky Friday house — unfortunately, is gone. So I think it'll be a really nice love letter.' The Palisades Fire was the first wildfire to erupt on Jan. 7, and it wasn't fully contained until Jan. 31 along with the Eaton Fire. The deadly blaze burned approximately 23,448 acres, according to CAL FIRE, and the cause is still under investigation. In response to Fineman asking if it felt 'special' to be back filming in L.A., Lohan responded: 'Yeah. For the crew, they're so excited to be working here, where they go back home to their families. That's the difference you feel here. It's nice.' Referring to her son Luai, whom she welcomed in 2023 with husband Bader Shammas, she added, 'I made it home every night, except for one, to tuck my son in. And it shows in the film — when you're happy behind the scenes, that comes through.'
