Sisi ratifies final accounts for FY 2023–2024 budgets of several authorities
CAIRO, May 22 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has ratified laws approving the final accounts for the budgets of several government entities for the 2023–2024 fiscal year.
The approved budgets include those of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development with LE231,083,980, the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education with LE79,570,302, the Cairo International Stadium Authority with LE162,944,450, and the University Support and Development Authority with LE1,256,680,366.
Additionally, the president ratified final accounts for the Grand Egyptian Museum, totaling LE10,735,845,612, the National Academy for Training, amounting to LE407,748,708, the General Authority for Tourism Development, with LE3,696,610,325, and the Prison Manufacturing and Production Fund, recording LE775,144,524.
The laws were published in the Official Gazette. (MENA)

During the meeting, Mashat, presented a report highlighting positive indicators in many startups in Egypt. She noted significant progress in the first five months of this year, with startups attracting approximately $228 million in funding through 16 deals—11 of which totaled $156 million. This marks a 130% increase, compared to the same period in 2024. The minister also outlined the key points of Egypt's forthcoming Startup Charter, which will be launched soon. The Charter aims to build trust between startups and the government by clearly committing to the system's priorities as well as coordinating efforts by different government bodies to create a more efficient, transparent, and innovation-friendly environment in a move meant to serve entrepreneurship, she added. They expressed satisfaction at the outstanding level of cooperation between the two countries, particularly after President Macron's historic visit to Egypt in April 2025, during which the two sides promoted their bilateral relations to the level of Strategic Partnership.
