Island man and woman arrested after toddler hospitalised in 'serious condition'
Police were called about the one-year-old's condition at 11.34am yesterday (Friday).
Officers subsequently visited an address on Dairy Crest Drive, Newport.
A 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Newport, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
They are currently in police custody.
