BTS' J-Hope's Sister Slams People Asking About Pregnancy: ‘Getting Out Of Hand'
Jung Jiwoo, the elder sister of BTS star J-Hope, has been the subject of numerous speculations about her personal life, and now, she has decided that she has had enough. The popular businesswoman, who is also a YouTuber and fashion influencer, took to her Instagram account on Monday, August 4, to address the invasive comments about her life, particularly her marriage and pregnancy.
She called out an Instagram user, who not only questioned her about her rumoured pregnancy, but also speculated about a miscarriage. Under one of Jiwoo's posts, the user commented, 'Aren't you pregnant? Or you lost the baby? There is no bump, and you are wearing tight clothes and doing exercise (tear emoji)." Jiwoo lost her cool over the comment about her personal life.
The influencer shared a screenshot of the comment on her Instagram story, informing her fans that she was about to reply to the person, but they deleted it. Expressing her frustration at being asked about her pregnancy endlessly, Jiwoo said, 'We're trying for a baby, but there's nothing to share yet." She confirmed that she isn't expecting a child at the moment.
Her note did not end there. She slammed people for asking her such personal questions, which even her close friends don't ask her about. 'I'm honestly shocked that someone I don't even know could ask such a personal and inappropriate question about our private life. Even my close friends wouldn't go there."
J-Hope's Sister Asked People To Be Respectful
Jiwoo also strongly reacted to the pregnancy rumours, asking people when she had told or confirmed that she was expecting a baby. She wrote, 'When did I ever say 'I'm pregnant?' I have said nothing, but some people out here are making up stories like it's confirmed facts. Now it's gone from 'she's pregnant' to 'she had a miscarriage' to 'she's out drinking'? Seriously?"
At the end of her note, she emphasised the importance of speaking up about the speculations as they escalated. She mentioned, 'I've been ignoring it 'cause it's so far from the truth, but it's getting out of hand. Show some respect, please."
A screenshot of Jiwoo's story was shared on X (formerly Twitter), where people slammed others for being so intrusive. 'Seriously, people are too much disappointing and disgusting…. They don't even think twice before they write something," wrote one user. Another added, 'She's better than me, my pettiness won't let me censor the username." A different person said, 'Oh my god, people are so harsh …such a rude way to ask..heartless…what a world has become."
Besides her own ventures, Jiwoo was also seen alongside her brother, J-Hope, on one episode of MBC's popular reality show, I Live Alone. During the episode, the sibling duo gave each other updates about their lives. It was shot after J-Hope completed his military service in October last year.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025 hosted its annual awards night on Friday, giving prizes to the best in Indian cinema and streaming from 2024-25. Comedian and actor Vir Das was honoured with the Disruptor Award, and he took the stage to deliver a hilarious acceptance speech, comparing himself to Covid-19. Vir posted the clip of his acceptance speech on his Instagram account. Vir Das shared that it was his honour to get the Disruptor Award at IFFM. I think this award answers the question that I have been asking myself, which many of you are asking yourself… which is, what is a random tiny comedian doing at a film festival? The answer is he is disrupting it. I want to thank IFFM and the Victorian government- you are not the first government to call me disruptive.' 'I get described like Covid-19' He continued, 'I am not accomplished enough or talented enough to be at this festival with the people that you see here tonight.
