The trailer for Metro...In Dino was released last month.
The trailer gave us a sneak peek into the love stories of the couples--Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta.
It follows four different love stories of couples--young, old, and middle-aged--living in a metro and serves as the spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu's 2007 film Life in a... Metro.
Recently, in an interview with ANI, Konkona opened up about her experience working in the film.

She said, "Metro...In Dino is quite different from Life in a Metro, because Life in a Metro was made 17-18 years ago. We were younger back then, so the story was different. And I feel lucky to work with Mr. Pankaj Tripathi."
"It was a lot of fun. Actually, I wasn't sure what to expect because, even though both of us have been working for so long, we hadn't worked together before. But he is very popular, and I've seen his work--I like it a lot. So, I was happy to be working with him. On the first day, I think we were both a little shy and formal. Anurag always says this very funnily: 'On the first day, we were both a little shy, a little formal. Mr. Pankaj used to say "Namaste" and all that.
I'm also a bit like that--kind of old-fashioned. But we quickly became comfortable with each other," she added.
The movie will be released in theatres this Friday.

Mithun Chakraborty Claims TMC "Planned" The Bengal Files Trailer Halt: "In Bengal, FIRs Are Distributed Like Kurmura"

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's directorial The Bengal Files, which focuses on the events of the Direct Action Day and the 1946 Calcutta killings, has landed in controversy even before its release. Actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty discussed the controversy surrounding the trailer launch of The Bengal Files in Kolkata, expressing surprise at the entire ruckus without even watching the film. He also blamed the ruling party in the state, saying everything was "planned". Speaking to ANI, he said, "Everything was planned, but it was so surprising to me, without even seeing the trailer, without even seeing anything, they are opposing it for what? To face the truth? So, that is the problem. Nothing else." On August 18, during a press conference in Delhi, the filmmaker revealed that "FIRs have been filed by ruling party members" on the makers. Speaking about it, the Disco Dancer actor added, "In Bengal, FIRs are distributed like kurmura (puffed rice). Agar TMC ka koi chota-mota bhi hoga na, police station mein jayega FIR karo bolega, (police) kar dega. So, it was like that. So, never mind. If the FIR has been done, he (Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri) will fight it back. No problem". The film explores the communal violence in undivided Bengal during the 1940s, including events like the 1946 Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots of 1946. Chakraborty lashed out at the critics, saying, "Everybody is scared of the truth. That is the thing," adding that the young generation should know about the truth. "It's 1947, even before my birth, which we don't know about. The next generation should know about it what happened during Noakhali or (know) about the great Calcutta killings... What happened... We read a line... What happened? You don't want to know the truth?" he said. The Bengal Files also features Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi. It is focused on the events of the Direct Action Day, aiming to unveil the "most brutal chapter" of Indian history. A ruckus erupted during the release of The Bengal Files trailer in Kolkata on August 16. Agnihotri said during the press meet, "I am discovering the political scenario. I had thought how anybody could stop the trailer, but when we went to Kolkata, the multiplex refused to show the trailer after all the permissions in writing. "Then, the hotel chain stopped showing the trailer. The police the wrire then I was told that the ruling party filed many FIRs as we stand here today, the FIRs are filed on us by the ruling party members and I have been told that ruling party has major objection on portrayal untold story of Hindu genocide. They have a problem with that film about demographic change." The Bengal Files is slated to hit theatres on September 5, 2025.

Jia Mustafa on her absence from Mangal Lakshmi; says ‘I'm glad I'm being missed, Saumya will be back soon'

Actress Jia Mustafa , who essays the role of Saumya Saxena, Adit's (Naman Shaw) second wife in Mangal Lakshmi starring Deepika Singh and Naman Shaw, has been noticeably missing from the recent episodes. With the introduction of new characters—Kapil Nirmal as Kapil Bhatnagar and Sambhabana Mohanty—fans were quick to question Saumya's absence from the track. Addressing the curiosity, Jia shared, 'This is the format of daily soaps, there will always be new twists and turns and new characters to keep the audience hooked. I am constantly reading comments and DM's from fans of the show asking me about my disappearance and return… and it makes me happy to know I'm being missed. I'm glad the audience enjoys watching me as Saumya and I'll be back soon to continue entertaining them. We have all given our 100% to the show for the past one and a half years and are deeply attached to our characters. God willing our show will continue to thrive for years to come.' Opening up about her experience of playing Saumya, Jia said, 'I have enjoyed every moment of playing Saumya. This has been my most diverse character and has offered me a large range of emotions to portray. Of course she's all black and it's difficult to relate with everything she does… but television negative leads have always been full of craziness and spunk and it's been challenging as well as extremely satisfying to play this part. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Your Finger Shape Says a Lot About Your Personality, Read Now Tips and Tricks Undo ' On facing backlash for her on-screen negativity, she added, 'Saumya does receive a lot of hate and a lot of abusive comments. I have my days when I laugh about it and I also have days where it triggers me. I don't mind hate directed to the character, I completely understand the sentiments of the audience. It's when the comments get personal is when I tend to get affected… however, it's all part and parcel of playing a negative character and as long as I'm doing my job well… I'm happy. There are a lot of perks of playing a negative part… and I have chosen to do so keeping all those in mind… so no complaints.' Jia Mustafa, also known for shows like Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, Pavitra Rishta, Bisaat, and Carry On Alia, continues to win hearts—even while playing a hated character.

She never separates style from substance and proves that fashion and sustainability can coexist peacefully. Known for her eco-friendly lifestyle and sartorial choices, she stunned in a magical couture piece from Anita Dongre's atelier, which respects nature and mindful consumption.
