Nebraska lands commitment from offensive tackle Rex Waterman
Nebraska football landed a commitment on Tuesday from class of 2026 three-star offensive tackle Rex Waterman. He made the announcement on social media Tuesday afternoon.
He is the 103rd overall offensive tackle in the 2026 class and the 21st overall player in his class from the state of Arizona, according to the On3 industry rankings.
Waterman has made three visits to Lincoln in the past year. He took his first unofficial visit to the program on February 1, and then followed that up with a visit on April 5. He took an official visit this past weekend, in what was a busy weekend for the program.
The Arizona native measures in at six feet five, 295 pounds. This is a solid addition for the Huskers' 2026 class that should see some movement over the next couple of weeks. The class itself ranks 60th overall in the country with five commitments, per On3 Rankings.
Waterman is a prospect who could fly under the radar and become a dependable piece of the offensive line in the future.

Watch Ian Book's thoughts on Notre Dame football's quarterback room
If there is someone that knows what it's like being a multi-year quarterback starter at Notre Dame, its Ian Book. As the last one to do so, it was natural that he had thoughts on what transpired during the spring and into fall camp, as the Irish decided on CJ Carr over Kenny Minchey on Tuesday. Book joined The Echoes Podcast, with hosts Mike Golic Jr. and Jessica Smetana, and while it was released today, it seems like that segment was recorded before the news came out. Regardless of that fact, Book seemed extremely confident that whoever ultimately got picked to start by head coach Marcus Freeman could get the job done. He feels like they both have traits that will make the successful, as he explained 'their arm strength, arm angles, arm path, and ability to to throw off-schedule to me is pretty good.' Book did say later in the podcast that he's had a hard time judging talent due to his vantage point, he's so used to being behind a center, that watching from the sidelines or an odd angle is foreign to him. It would be interesting to get his thoughts on the choice now that it has been made. Hopefully we hear Book speaking about it soon. Two Georgia Bulldogs make freshman All-American team
Georgia football will have to rely on some young players contributing to reach their goals for the season. On3 dropped their freshman All-American team and Georgia has two players on that list. On offense, offensive lineman Juan Gaston was a selection. The freshman is listed at 6-foot-7, 360-pounds is in a three-man competition for the starting right guard job. Gaston has amazing size and head coach Kirby Smart has said that he has been getting into better shape since being an early enrollee. Gaston was ranked a five-star recruit and the nation's No. 18 ranked player, per 247Sports. On defense, highly-touted defensive lineman Elijah Griffin was another Georgia freshman All-American selection. The 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive lineman already has drawn comparisons to Georgia great and All-Pro defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Griffin is the headliner of this freshmen class that could see several key contributors for the Bulldogs. Expect to see Griffin, a former five-star recruit, to put his talent on display on Saturday for the Bulldogs early and often. Griffin was ranked as the consensus No. 1 defensive lineman and a top-five recruit across all recruiting services. Three Georgia Bulldogs also earned USA TODAY Sports preseason All-American honors.
