The Hoops somehow made a profit on the Argentine, who only made 28 appearances in just under two full seasons at the club before being sent on loan to Brazil.
He moved to Parkhead from Argentinean side Lanus in 2022 for £3.75m and left in a reported £5m deal.
Internacional could make a quick buck if Sevilla firm up their interest in Bernebei, who has more than three years left on his contract.
The La Liga club have been on the lookout for a new left-back since January when they scrapped Valentin Barco's loan from Brighton and failed to find a suitable replacement.
According to information from Esportes GZH, Sevilla's representatives will accompany Bernebei's agent Juan Cruz Oller when they watch.
Internacional's next league match against Juventude from one of the stadium's executive boxes.
Since leaving Glasgow, the 24-year-old has established himself as the best left-back in Brazil's Serie A and has been tipped for a call-up to the full Argentina squad.
Lionel Scaloni, the World Cup-winning coach, has so far remained loyal to the players who excelled for him in Qatar during the South American qualifiers.
But with Argentina's place at the 2026 finals now mathematically assured, Scaloni is understood to be ready to experiment by bringing some new faces into his squad for the next matches against Chile and Colombia in June.

Giuseppe Ambrosino moves Celtic transfer goalposts as Louis Munteanu mystery cleared up
Brendan Rodgers is still looking for more firepower ahead of next week's Champions League playoff first leg Celtic-linked Giuseppe Ambrosino has made a U-turn on his future at Napoli. The Italy Under-21 youth star is one of many strikers thought to be on the radar of Parkhead scouts. However, Celts aren't the only club keeping tabs on the youngster, who is out of contract next summer. Serie A rivals Cremonese have been leading the chase to prize Ambrosino away from the Scudetto winners. The 21-year-old has been training on his own in Naples after being left out of Antonio Conte's pre-season training camp. But Italian outlet Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports that Ambrosino is determined to stay put and fight for his future in Naples. It's said that academy graduate is willing to stick around and compete with Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca for the centre forward spot. Cremonese were confident of securing a loan deal with an option to buy but Ambrosino has now moved the goalposts. The in-demand attacker spent last season with Frosinone in Serie B where he chipped in with five goals and four assists. Meanwhile another forward Celtic have been linked with has dropped out of CFR Cluj's Europa League squad. Romanian hitman Louis Munteanu netted 25 goals last term and was reportedly the subject of a Hoops bid in January. French sides Nice and Lille have also been monitoring the goal machine - who previously insisted that he's happy in Romania. However, it emerged tonight that the 23-year-old has not travelled to Portugal for Thursday's Europa League showdown with Braga. That prompted rumours that Munteanu could be edging towards an exit. But Cluj president Cristi Balaj quelled the speculation by revealing Munteanu had been ruled out through injury. He told DigiSport: "Louis Munteanu has a minor muscle problem. It's a contracture. When you have a contracture and you don't follow the treatment for a few days, you risk a muscle tear." What can Celtic learn from Aberdeen's Almaty trip?
It's the Champions League trip that Celtic had probably hoped to avoid.A short hop to Slovakia and back would have been easier - logistically, at least - than a round-trip of 7,000 miles to Kairat Almaty upset the odds on Tuesday to beat Slovan Bratislava on penalties and set up a play-off with first leg is in Glasgow next Wednesday but the return, six days later, is around 360 miles from the Dzungarian Gate border crossing into quickest flight time from London to Almaty is over eight hours. So when Celtic charter their plane, players and staff will be able to get through about four movies at least. And that's just the outward will be schlepping further east than Kabul in the week leading up to the first derby of the season at Ibrox. It's quite the trip, but the Champions League lucre at stake for Brendan Rodgers' men would make it all worthwhile. Tony Bennett's plane, Tallinn & steak dinners Should they need some advice, Aberdeen made the same journey on Europa League qualifying duty in 2015. And the Scotland men's national team also travelled to Kazakhstan in 2019, an ill-fated trip on which Alex McLeish's side lost 3-0. Speak to those at the Scottish FA about it and they make the logistics sound simple. "You fly there and back in a long-range Airbus or Boeing," one plane Aberdeen hired a decade ago might as well have had 'fly me to the moon' branded along the was - as a club insider recalled - different from the type they had used before for European away trips. Smaller, more luxurious. "I believe it was used by the singer Tony Bennett and other celebrities," they didn't go too well on the football side, though, Aberdeen losing 2-1 away before a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie. But that wasn't for a lack of attention to detail from then-manager Derek McInnes and assistant Tony Aberdeen squad - who stopped in Estonia on the way out and Turkey on the way back - had a steak dinner before flying out late on the Tuesday for a Thursday game. The idea was that they could sleep on the plane, rather than travelling during the day, and they also all stayed on UK time so as to be better equipped to handle their subsequent league game a few days McLean's late winner over Dundee United at Tannadice suggests they might have had the right idea. What can history tell us about Kazakh trips? Rodgers and Celtic's support staff will already have a plan in place for Kazakhstan. Not least given it's a trip which will go a long way to defining their season. They cannot leave anything to chance when it comes to getting in and out of Almaty as quickly and as safely as possible, while still giving the players the optimal conditions to both prepare for and recover from the gruelling trip. It's expected to be around 30 degrees when Celtic visit, although that's likely to drop to mid-20s around kick-off record against Kazakh opposition is good, although the club still await their first win in the former Soviet have never played Almaty before but have made the journey to Kazakhstan three times in the past decade or so. Shakhter Karagandy were beaten 3-2 on aggregate after a memorable night at Parkhead, featuring a late winner from James Forrest. Rodgers was in his first spell at the club when Celtic knocked Astana out of Europe in consecutive Northern Irishman won't want the copybook to be blotted now, for all sorts of reasons. He may not fly in the same plane Tony Bennett used, but he'll certainly want to avoid a trip down The Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

O'Riley 'keen' to join Juventus as deal hinges on key factor
The Dane joined Brighton and Hove Albion from the Scottish Premiership champions last summer. O'Riley's start to life on the south coast couldn't have gone any worse, as he was stretchered off six minutes into his Brighton debut against Crawley Town. He went on to make 23 appearances during his first year at the club, although he could be on the move this summer. Read more: Indeed, Fabrizio Romano reports that O'Riley is keen to join Juventus, and he is on their three-man shortlist of midfield targets. The Italian giants are said to be considering a loan deal with an obligation to buy, although they can only make a move if and when another midfielder - likely Douglas Luiz - departs. 🚨⚪️⚫️ Matt O'Riley, keen on Juventus move after talks took place to ask for deal conditions. Understand Juventus are considering a loan with obligation deal but only if/when a midfielder (Douglas Luiz) leaves. O'Riley, part of 3 men shortlist. 🎥🇮🇹 — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 13, 2025 O'Riley played 124 times across two-and-a-half years at Celtic. He won three Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups, and one League Cup. Speaking to The Celtic Way last week, O'Riley said: "I still follow all the games. "Even though I don't post that much on social media, I'm still watching every single game and trying to keep tabs on them. "I'm still in contact with people. It's hard in football to keep contact with everybody because it moves so fast and things change, but I did make some good friends up there, and I'm still in contact with a lot of staff at Celtic, which has been nice."
