J-Lo shares steamy moment with dancers at AMAs
Ten years on from her last American Music Awards hosting gig, pop icon Jennifer Lopez brought her own temperature gauge to the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel as she reminded fans she's still one of the hottest live acts in the music industry.
Opening the show dressed in a robotic, skin-coloured sequinned jumpsuit, the 55-year-old's six-minute medley began with a stripped-back version of her 2012 hit Dance Again before taking fans on a journey through the biggest tracks of the year.
Busting a move to the likes of Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us, Chappell Roan's Hot to Go, and Beyonce's Texas Hold'Em, the star packed 23 of 2024's biggest tunes into her high-octane performance.

But the moment on everybody's lips occurred when she locked hers with not one but two backup dancers as Teddy Swims' Lose Control played slowly around them.
Incorporating the year's biggest dance trends, Lopez managed to strike a balance between the past, present and future as she reaffirmed her status as a sex symbol amid a career spanning four separate decades.
'I had to kick things off by turning it up to the biggest songs of the year and dancing my heart out for all of you, but tonight, the spotlight belongs to you, because this is the world's largest fan-voted award show where you decide the winners,' she said after the performance.'
However, the show almost didn't happen, admitting to fans in an recent Instagram story that she had sustained a nose injury during rehearsals that required 'stitching up' and a 'a whole lotta ice'.
Following the show, fans were quick to heap praise on the prime mover.
'I don't know what to say anymore... this woman has no equal. One of a kind, breathtaking every time. She was irresistible! Jen, thank you for all you do for your fans!' one said.
'What a spectacular opening. So futuristic and fierce, no one entertains and puts on a show quite like you,' another commented.

Country star Kelsea Ballerini 'needs a break'
Kelsea Ballerini plans to "figure out what's next" over the summer. The 31-year-old singer wrapped Kelsea Ballerini Live on Tour in April and she now plans to take a prolonged break from the music industry, before embarking on her next challenge. Kelsea - who also made her debut on 'The Voice' earlier this year - said on 'TODAY with Jenna and Friends': "I need a break! "And I've never been able to say that before, but I really think it's just time for me to pump the brakes, figure out what's next, have a summer, what?! Go to the beach? Huh? Learn to cook a new meal, hang out with the dogs, so that's kind of my agenda." Kelsea observed that her plans are often derailed by unforeseen events and career opportunities. She added: "I'm very open to whatever is out there." Kelsea also revealed that she relished her experience on 'The Voice'. The 'Half of My Hometown' hitmaker reflected: "I think ending my first arena tour, ending my first time on 'The Voice', it's just been such a beautiful season of doing things that are out of my comfort zone and bigger than I've ever done and it's been really fulfilling. I love being in that seat." Earlier this month, John Legend observed that Kelsea has been "very good" on 'The Voice'. The singer debuted as a coach on the hit TV show in February, and John was impressed by his co-star, describing her as a "wonderful" addition to the line-up. John, 46 - who serves as one of the coaches alongside Kelsea, Michael Buble and Adam Levine - told 'Extra': "She took to the show quickly. "She's been a guest on the show before; she guest coached for Kelly [Clarkson] before and so I think she came in just knowing how everything worked and she was ready to go. "She has such a great personality. She's been very good at winning artists for her team, especially the ladies. I definitely knew I had no chance against her with some of the ladies. You could tell the girl power thing was working. "She's been wonderful and she's been great to get to know on the show."

Mission: Impossible has been the adventure of a lifetime, says Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise's 'Mission: Impossible' experience has been "the adventure of a lifetime". The 62-year-old actor has played fictional agent Ethan Hunt in eight 'Mission: Impossible' films since 1996, and Tom has now taken to social media to reflect on his experience with the money-spinning movie franchise. The Hollywood star - who has been busily promoting 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' in recent weeks - wrote on Instagram: "Over 30 years ago, I began the journey of producing my first film, Mission: Impossible. Since then, these eight films have taken me on the adventure of a lifetime." Tom's social media post features an array of throwback, behind-the-scenes photos from each of the 'Mission: Impossible' films. And Tom has thanked all of his 'Mission: Impossible' colleagues - including directors, actors, artists, and crews - who have played a role in the success of the film franchise. He wrote on the photo-sharing platform: "To the incredible directors, actors, artists, and crews across the globe that have helped bring these stories to life, I thank you. It has been a privilege to work alongside you all." Tom also expressed his thanks to fans of the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise. The movie star continued: "Most importantly, I want to thank the audience, for whom it is our great pleasure to create these films, and for whom we all serve. We're thrilled to share The Final Reckoning with you." Meanwhile, Tom previously confessed to going "too far" with his action stunts. The 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' star admitted to taking things to the extreme for his action scenes. Speaking to 'Extra', Tom confessed: "I always go too far, but I don't mind it. I always go too far." Tom is always willing to put his body on the line in order to make the best 'Mission: Impossible' movie The actor - who has suffered various injuries during his career, including a broken ankle while shooting 2018's 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' - explained: "I fly aerobatic airplanes, I fly jets, I fly helicopters, and this took all of our ability and all of our skill to be able find the camera angles to tell this story." Tom has needed to be in tip-top physical shape to shoot all of the 'Mission: Impossible' movies. And the veteran film star suggested that the latest movie will surpass fan expectations. Tom - who remains one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood - said: "Physically, what I had to do to prepare for this thing was quite extreme, and I can tell you this - whatever people see in the trailer or on TV, it is not even a taste of what they have in store for them when they see this film."

Jackie Chan reveals how Karate Kid and Rocky stopped him from 'giving up'
Jackie Chan wanted to "give up" his acting dreams before seeing 'Karate Kid' and 'Rocky'. The 71-year-old movie legend - who plays kung fu mentor Mr. Han in new movie 'Karate Kid: Legends' - has opened up on how the original 1984 film inspired him to keep going with his own Hollywood dreams. He told Extra: 'This year, I'm in the film industry 64 years. 'I remember when I was a stunt guy, at that time, action movie not popular anymore. We don't know what to do. I try to give up. "Then, when the 'Karate Kid' coming, I went with some friends, we buy the ticket, we go see it. And when I see it, I see the energy, I see the positive message, then I think, 'I should not give up. Life knock me down, I get back up.' "Then I go back to training… another movie coming up called 'Rocky.' Then I see 'Rocky,' 'Eye of the Tiger,' wow! And suddenly full of energy.' At the time, he was focused on training in the dojo, but a director saw his moves and instantly advised him to take a big step. He recalled: "'You be an actor'. Luckily, I didn't give up. I still keep training. That makes me day." The 'Rush Hour' actor turned 71 in April, but Jackie isn't interested in slowing down, revealing that he'll always perform his own stunts and that he has no plans to retire. Speaking to Haute Living magazine, Jackie shared: "Of course, I always do my own stunts. It's who I am. That's not changing until the day I retire, which is never!" Jackie is well-known for performing acrobatic and innovative stunts. But at this stage in his career, Jackie doesn't require much preparations for his action scenes. The movie star explained: "When you've done it for 64 years straight, there's no physical preparation anymore. Everything is in your heart and soul; it is muscle memory." Jackie noted that technological advances have also changed the movie business. The 'Foreigner' star said: "In the old days, the only [choice we had] was to be there and jump; that's it. Today, with computers, actors can do anything, but there's always a sense of reality that you feel is missing."
