The shooting for both versions, Malayalam featuring Mohanlal and Hindi starring Ajay Devgn, will be held simultaneously, starting from October 2025. As the project steadily moves towards the production stage, director Jeetu Joseph recently admitted that he prevented the Hindi version from being made ahead of the Malayalam film. During a conversation with Mathrubhumi, Jeethu shared that there had been conversations about starting both versions at the same time. However, the makers of the Hindi rendition were instructed to keep off. 'There were requests to make the Malayalam and Hindi versions together, but we have not made any final judgements on those topics. There were early plans to begin with the Hindi version, but when it was suggested that this could be dealt with legally, they backed off," he explained. Furthermore, Jeethu, who is directing Drishyam 3 with Mohanlal, said that the Malayalam script is still being finalised. The film is likely to begin production around October this year.
