Everything to know about ‘The Traitors' finale: Winner odds, Britney vs. Danielle, new rules …
After nine murders, eight banishments, and one tied vote, it's finally time to see who wins The Traitors Season 3. The last episode and reunion show both stream this week on Peacock, so read on for everything to know about The Traitors finale, including who Gold Derby predicts will win it all.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, as that's when the season finale will stream on Peacock. In "The Day of Reckoning Is Upon Us," host Alan Cumming will finally reveal which Traitor(s) or Faithful(s) ultimately win the prize money of up to $250K. Gold Derby has confirmed that the reunion show will be released at the same time on Peacock, with Andy Cohen back as the ringleader.

Last week's penultimate episode ended with a cliffhanger at the Round Table, so no one was banished. That means all six remaining contestants are still competing for the win at the start of the finale. That lineup consists of one original Traitor (Danielle Reyes), one recruited Traitor (Britney Haynes), and four Faithfuls (Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten). Remember, if there are any Traitors remaining at the end of the game, they will take all of the prize money. If only Faithfuls are left, they will split the pot.
Gold Derby has been predicting the winner of The Traitors all season long, and our odds currently favor Britney as the likeliest player to walk away with the grand prize. Prior to Britney claiming the No. 1 position, our odds-makers thought Carolyn Wiger had the best shot ... but she was banished in the ninth episode. Here is a snapshot in time of our The Traitors finale winner odds, as of March 4:
Britney Haynes — 31/10
Dylan Efron — 4/1
Gabby Windey — 9/2
Dolores Catania — 6/1
Danielle Reyes — 7/1
Ivar Mountbatten — 8/1
These two reality stars came into the castle with an existing relationship, having competed together on Big Brother Reindeer Games in 2023. In that Christmas-themed spinoff of the long-running Big Brother reality TV show, Britney was responsible for eliminating her "ride or die" alliance member Danielle, crushing her hopes of finally winning a competition. Thus, they started out The Traitors as adversaries, but soon quashed their differences. As a Traitor, Danielle protected Britney throughout the game, until the time came for her to recruit Britney alongside her. The 10th episode ended with Britney having to decide whether to vote out Ivar (which would lead to a deadlocked tie and a "chance" elimination) or switch her vote to Danielle (which would send Danielle packing). Britney's decision will be revealed in the first few minutes of Season 3's finale.

Two-time Emmy winner Cumming announced in the season premiere that, unlike in past seasons, the eliminated players in the final five will not reveal to the group whether they are a Traitor or a Faithful. Instead, the remaining castle-dwellers will have to "rely on instinct" to make their judgments. This new rule was likely enacted because what happened in the Season 2 finale, when there was obviously still one Traitor in the game (Kate Chastain), because someone was murdered (Shereé Whitfield), so the finalists kept banishing people until they found her.
Another game-changing twist for Season 3 is the power of the Seer, which the final six contestants competed for in last week's episode. Whichever person earned the most coins in that mission will now have the opportunity to invite someone else to a private face-to-face meeting, where the chosen player must disclose if they're a Faithful or a Traitor. The identity of the Seer will be revealed in the finale.
Survivor legend Cirie Fields (a Traitor) won the maximum prize of $250,000 in Season 1 after tricking Quentin Jiles and Andie Vanacore (two Faithfuls) into believing she was one of them. In Season 2, The Challenge icons Chris "CT" Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella (two Faithfuls) shared the prize pot of $208,100 after being the last ones standing.
Here are Peacock's official synopses for Thursday's epic finale and reunion show:
Episode 311 ("The Day of Reckoning Is Upon Us"): It's the Final Day. With a big announcement at breakfast and a hair raising mission to finish; will the Faithful claim the final prize pot or have they left a Traitor in their midst who will steal it all?
Episode 312 ("The Reunion"): Andy Cohen hosts the season reunion where the cast of The Traitors air their grievances regarding murders, banishments, and any treachery afoot during their time at the castle.

We Still Don't Know If 'The Bear' Will Be Renewed for Season 5
Season 4 of The Bear will officially premiere tonight at 8 P.M. ET/5 P.M. PT. The FX and Hulu comedy-drama starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri will drop all 10 episodes at once, as is customary for the hit series. While fans have been waiting a year for the new season, they'll inevitably be wondering about where the show will go next once they've finished bingeing. Here's what we know about the future of The Bear so far. As of right now, The Bear hasn't been renewed for a fifth season. When John Landgraf, head of FX, was asked if season 4 would be the last, he wasn't sure. 'These decisions are really creative decisions,' he told Variety in 2024. 'It was Sterlin Harjo who made a decision that Rez Dogs was a three-season series. And so it's really Chris [Storer's] decision on The Bear. It's about, how much more story does he have to tell? I mean, obviously, I'm hoping he has more than one more season of story to tell. But not to the extent that if there was one great season or three mediocre ones, I'd rather have one great one. You just have to follow the creative.' It would be expected that series regulars would return, including: Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Matty Matheson, and many others. But we'll have to see how season 4 ends, and whether FX adds any new cast members. Watch this space for more news as it comes. This story will be updated.

'Friday The 13th' Series 'Crystal Lake' Has Started Production
The Friday the 13th franchise is gradually coming back to life with the help of the all-new Jason Universe label. One of their upcoming projects is the new Crystal Lake TV series produced by A24 for release on the streaming service Peacock. Now, after years of development, Crystal Lake has finally started production. Brad Caleb Kane, showrunner for the long-anticipated television endeavor, teased as much on his Instagram profile. As you can see below, he shared an image of a clapperboard being used on the set of the show. It features the working title ' Mama's Boy ' with a neatly-designed logo featuring a machete. Additionally, it lists Michael Lennox as a director and Maceo Bishop as the camera operator. Here's the post regarding the production shared by Crystal Lake showrunner Brad Caleb Kane on Instagram: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Brad Kane (@bradcalebkane) The cast of Crystal Lake is confirmed to include Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, William Catlett as Levon Brooks, Devin Kessler as Brianna Brooks, Cameron Scoggins as Dorf, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace. The characters played by Cardellini and Scoggins were in the original Friday the 13th movie, with Pamela Voorhees notably being the film's antagonist and the mother of franchise icon Jason Voorhees. Many details regarding the project and how exactly it will tie into the greater franchise have so far been kept under wraps. However, it's expected that fans will be receiving more history regarding Pamela Voorhees and the titular Camp Crystal Lake than ever before. At a time when it's been nearly two decades since a Friday the 13th feature film was last released, fans are desperate for new material. A release date for the highly-anticipated Friday the 13th series Crystal Lake has yet to be set. However, now that the series has finally entered production, it hopefully won't be too long before more details regarding the project are revealed. Until then, let's be glad that Crystal Lake has finally made some serious progress and cameras are officially rolling.

I Watched ‘Jurassic World Dominion: Extended Version' So You Don't Have To
If you've ever been curious to see the impact of editing on a movie, the extended version of Jurassic World Dominion is a fascinating case. Clocking in 14 minutes longer than the original film, the extended version (which is streaming on Peacock) is somehow both better and worse than its predecessor at the exact same time. The new scenes add welcome scope and pathos to the film, taking a movie that was all over the place and giving it some welcome focus. However, those scenes are also poison to the film's pacing, making it feel 20-30 minutes longer than it actually is. So, you're left watching the film like you are the director. Would you have released a slightly better, but slower, movie? Or a slightly faster, but less interesting, movie? Of course, we can assume that director Colin Trevorrow went with the latter, releasing the theatrical version at two hours and 26 minutes as opposed to two hours and 40 minutes, which, in the end, was probably the right call. Despite dismal reviews, Dominion was a certified smash, grossing over $1 billion worldwide and making it certain Universal wasn't done with dinosaurs just yet, which is why we revisited this film in the first place. And, if we were going to revisit Dominion, why not watch the extended version that came out for home release? That brings us to today. Next week, Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters, taking the six-film franchise off in a brand new direction. It's set after the events of Dominion, so a rewatch to get some facts straight in our heads seemed worthwhile. Facts like dinosaurs now roam the world freely, but are relegated to isolated areas in certain places. One is in Italy, where the evil company BioSyn almost killed the planet with its genetically modified locusts. But thanks to the DNA of Maisie Lockwood, a clone of one of Jurassic Park's original scientists, Charlotte Lockwood, that crisis was averted. BioSyn was, presumably, shut down, and all is right with the world. As someone who saw Jurassic Park on opening night in 1993, few films have made me as angry as Jurassic World Dominion did back in 2022. Billed as a big culmination of two Jurassic trilogies, the film tragically fumbles that for a story that seems wholly uninterested in dinosaurs. I wrote about it—extensively—at the time, so I won't get too deep into it again. Rewatching the film now, though, especially in this slightly extended version, you do see that a much better film was in there. Additional scenes like a 2001: A Space Odyssey-inspired opening, completely absent of music, which follows one of the mosquitoes John Hammond used to unlock Jurassic Park DNA in the first place, really work to link the full franchise together. A subsequent scene of a T-Rex running around a drive-in movie theater shows the potential fear living in this now integrated world. Both were cut (and later released as an online short), but those scenes and others give the film a much broader scope to explore the world that the previous five films worked so hard to set up. Extended and additional scenes are sprinkled throughout the entire movie. One early scene speaks to Maisie's rebellious nature as she visits a store. Another adds smart context to the poachers who eventually kidnap her. Blue and Beta murder a couple in the woods, adding to their aura. There's a lot of stuff. One of the most fascinating additions, though, is in the reintroduction of Alan Grant, Sam Neill's character from the first and third films. The original cut shows him pontificating about dinosaur bones and, while you barely even notice it, several young students sitting around, on their phones, ignoring him. However, in the extended version, Grant calls out the kids and they ask him why they should care about dinosaurs because 'they've been around since the '90s.' The idea that modern kids have been totally demystified to dinosaurs is a borderline shocking sentiment that seemed ripe for exploration. Alas, it's not in the movie at all, especially with this brief scene cut. Those are just a few examples, but almost all of the added scenes help the movie explore present themes and even touch on new ones. The question becomes, at what cost? With the extended scenes, Dominion now takes almost 30 minutes to get a whiff of the film's actual story. Every time there's something that makes the movie better, it also slows it down enough to make it worse. By the time we get all of the characters together at BioSyn for the big finale, you might as well have watched the five other movies first. It feels that long and drawn out. In the end, Jurassic World Dominion: Extended Edition is, without a doubt, the superior version of this movie. But, that's mostly because it's widely accepted that the original cut of the movie is so bad. This version of the movie is still bad, but at least it illustrates more of the good ideas and intentions behind the scenes. Ideas and intentions that, unfortunately, were largely absent in the final film. Here's hoping the new film finds that balance and brings the Jurassic franchise back to its roots. The first six Jurassic films are all streaming on Peacock. Jurassic World Rebirth opens July 2. Want more io9 news?
