The banner and gacha system take center stage in Umamusume: Pretty Derby as they are used to obtain new characters and support cards. Similar to most mobile gacha games, the game presents a rotation banner system whereby the gamer can use the in-game currency to either acquire the powerful characters, called the Uma Musume, or crucial support cards that boost training.
Knowledge of the motion of banners and the pit system included therein is very important to allow for the management of resources and best utilize pulls, particularly for limited-time events. This tutorial will help a player understand the functioning of these systems and the expectations of a player when rolling.

Pity System and Pull Rates Explained
The banners are divided into two main banners in Umamusume: Pretty Derby:
Character Banner
—This banner lets you summon the playable Uma Musume characters, whom you can race and train.
Support Card Banner
—This banner summons training support cards that are key to enhancing your growth.
A banner usually lasts approximately two weeks and includes one or two rate-up targets.
Jewels are the primary currency that players use to execute rolls, one 150-jewel roll (or 1,500-jewel 10-pull).
Pull Rates
SSR (Highest Rarity):
It is around 3%.
SR (Mid Rarity):
Around 18%
R (Common):
Around 79%
Pity Mechanics
Umamusume includes a system that rewards you for consistent pulling:
Support Card Banner (Exchange Point System):
Every pull grants 1 Exchange Point.
After 200 pulls, you can trade 200 points for one featured SSR card.
At this point, players are allowed to trade the points and have a featured SSR card of their choice.
Points reset after the banner ends.
Character Banner:
The banner system is less forgiving and doesn't have a pity system.
While earning Spark points. No guaranteed character at 200 pulls.
However, you can still use spark points for support items or to prepare for future banners.
Tips:
Save your Jewels for banners featuring strong, limited-time support cards.
Always check if the banner is a limited-time one, as these often do not return for a long period.
Avoid spending on every banner unless you have enough to reach pity.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby has a pitiful system and a banner system, which need to be considered in the planning and allocation of resources. To be able to master the times when to pull, rate-ups, and exchange points, all of this can greatly benefit your gains regarding acquiring high-ranked characters or support cards.
