Telangana Govt extends grand traditional welcome to Miss France and Miss World officials

Hyderabad, May 6 (UNI) In a vibrant display of cultural pride and hospitality, the Telangana State Government officials extended a grand traditional welcome to Agathe Lou Cauet, Miss France, on her arrival at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad on Tuesday.
The ceremony showcased the rich heritage and warmth of Telangana.
Alongside Miss France, Miss World Officials Clara Lucy Kate and Emma Louise Gray were also received with similar traditional honours by the state dignitaries.
Additionally, a group of Miss World Officials who arrived via British Airways – Irene Gasa Serra, Kwannalyana Ratanaphol Peters, Ana Plz Piqueras De Alba, and Susana Teixeira Ferraz – were greeted with equal enthusiasm and ceremonial warmth.

Thiruvananthapuram, June 11 (UNI) Malaysia Airlines is significantly expanding its operations from Trivandrum Airport, underlining Kerala's growing role as an international hub for South India. Starting 6 June, flights from Trivandrum will increase from four to five times weekly, complementing daily flights from Kochi and bring the airline's total services from Kerala to 12 weekly flights, a release said. This enhanced connectivity reflects strong outbound demand from the region and strengthens access to Malaysia Airlines' global network of over 68 global destinations via Kuala Lumpur, including Australia, Japan, Singapore and New Zealand. Across India, the airline now operates more than 76 weekly flights from 10 cities. Srinagar, June 11 (UNI) Ustad Ghulam Nabi Shah, famously known as Hamli Bulbul, who took Kashmiri music to new heights nationally breathed his last today at his ancestral place Dangiwacha Rafiabad in Baramulla district. An inborn talent who devoted his life promoting Kashmiri art and culture, Bulbul served the Information Department in various capacities representing Kashmir folk and music on both national and international canvas, earning accolades for himself and the department, setting legacy for others to follow. Bulbul captivated audiences for decades with his soulful voice, masterful command of the sarangi and signature 'glass' dance performances, where he balanced a glass of water on his head while executing intricate dance movements showcasing his exceptional skill and commitment to Kashmiri performing arts. Bulbul was also renowned for his mastery of the traditional Kashmiri folk dance form known as Bacha Nagma. This vibrant and expressive dance involves young boys dressed as women, performing intricate footwork and spinning movements while singing Kashmiri ballads. In 2011, Bulbul was honored with the prestigious Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Award for his significant contributions to promoting Kashmiri Lok Sangeet (folk music). This accolade recognized his dedication to preserving and revitalizing the rich musical traditions of Kashmir. More than just a performer, he was a deeply respected personality whose humility and grace endeared him to generations. Meanwhile, colleagues, fans and admirers have condoled the demise of Bulbul terming it a huge loss to local music and art. Several of his superiors and colleagues took to social media and described their association with him. An official spokesman said a condolence meeting was also held here under the chairmanship of Joint Director Information Kashmir, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari with Deputy Director Information (PR), Ahsanul Haq Chishti, Cultural Officer Kashmir, Burhan Hussain and other officers and officials present. Dharamshala, June 11 (UNI) An Israeli national, who went for a trek to Triund in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh could not be traced as yet and was still missing, police said on Wednesday. Kàngra district Additional Superintendent of Police Hitesh Lakhanpal told UNI on Wednesday that identified as Samuel Vengrinovich, in his mid 30s, set out for a trek on June 6 with a group went missing and could not be traced out till today. ASP Lakhanpal said that a group of five tourists had come to Himachal Pradesh for a trip, but Samuel got separated during the trek in the hills of Triund and they have not heard from him since then, the group members told the police. He said that an intensive search was carried out, however, after failing to locate him, his friend Ediblam, alerted the McLeodganj police on Monday and joint search teams of police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) launched extensive operations. ASP Lakhanpal further said that the search and combing operation in Triund, Indrahar Pass, Jot, and other nearby remote areas was in progress but despite ongoing efforts, no sign of Samuel has been found, so far, ASP said. He said that the district administration is closely monitoring the search operation and has put teams on high alert. The ASP said that in view of the gravity of the situation, the authorities have informed the Israeli Embassy in Delhi. UNI AR PRS
