I was on Twitter (ahem, X) earlier—really, saying 'I was on X earlier' sounds like I was using drugs—and it struck me that people are awfully nasty and mean-spirited a lot of the time. I wish more people would take Bill and Ted's maxim to heart and 'be excellent to each other.' I also like to invoke Elwood P. Dowd from Harvey. He was played by Jimmy Stewart, and my favorite of his many quotations is:
'Years ago, my mother used to say to me, she'd say 'In this world, Elwood—she always called me Elwood—'In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.'
And so I do, and I try to follow in Elwood's footsteps, and in Bill and Ted's, and it really isn't easy, because people can be stupid and infuriating (often while making big, enormous, potentially calamitous decisions for the rest of us) and on social media it's hard to ignore. But I try, and all we can do is try.

I knew BRICK was going to be a bad opening guess, but I had my reasons for picking it, and while those weren't very good reasons (and while I can't share them because of confidentiality) I stuck to my guns. All grey boxes and 897 remaining solutions later, I questioned those guns. SLATE cut that number by 890 and I really thought I might strike gold with SHELL, but I was one letter off. SHELF was the Wordle, and I snagged it in four.

The 52-year-old model reflected on the unexpected start to her relationship with her now-husband, Tom Kaulitz, during an interview published Monday with People, leading up to her highly anticipated return to host Project Runway. The model also told People that the beginning of her relationship with Kaulitz represented a 'clean slate' for her. '[At first] I wanted to [project] what I had learned from different men I had been with… like 'Ooh, this reminds me of something that happened, is that a flag?'' she said. 'But Tom said, 'Don't do this to me, because I'm not this person, I'm not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance.' She acknowledged how sparks have continued to fly between her and her husband, revealing one of their favorite activities to do together: Shop for lingerie. During those outings, Kaulitz sits outside while his wife is in the changing room. She then steps out and shows off her different outfits to him. 'He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up,' she said, noting that there's no jealousy between them. She also credited 'stolen weekends' together and 'handwritten notes' as the keys to her and Kaulitz's relationship. However, she acknowledged that being married hasn't changed the person she is. 'This is pretty much what you get. I'm pretty loud and you know I'm there.' Klum also addressed the ongoing online chatter about her marriage: She's 17 years older than her husband. 'The Boys' season 5 just got a special Comic-Con preview — and people are losing their minds
"The Boys" season 5 wasn't supposed to be a headliner at San Diego Comic-Con this year. But when fans in attendance at a "Gen V" Hall H panel got a special sneak preview of the show's final season, it stole the show. We haven't been able to find leaked footage of the preview — a shock in its own right — but outlets such as Deadline and users on X (Twitter) were quick to react to the teaser. Here's a breakdown of what happened. Per those in attendance, there are a few big reveals that Eric Kripke and company showed off in the season 5 teaser. First, Homelander (Antony Starr) is in full fascist mode. He is now the leader of the U.S. in all but name, and during the sneak preview, he addresses a crowded room, saying to those watching that, "This is a safer, more God-fearing nation." Then, the teaser focused largely on some familiar faces. The Boys team is seen reuniting to prepare for a final showdown against Homelander. In between all the blood and gore, fans also reported getting a look at Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) reacting to something off-screen that seemingly unsettled her. It's unclear what exactly she saw. Finally, the teaser hinted at some new faces joining the show. We already knew that "Supernatural" alumni Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki appear on-screen together with the latter reprising their role as Soldier Boy, and fans in attendance at the "Gen V" panel got to see a shot of them on screen together during the sneak preview for "The Boys." But we learned that Seth Rogen will appear in an undisclosed role in the show's final season. Of course, this season 5 teaser was shown at a "Gen V" panel, so we did get some updates on the second season of that spin-off as well — including a new SDCC trailer for "Gen V" season 2.
