Craig Gordon and Summer Harl's relationship from Celtic colleagues to blended family

The couple, who met at Celtic Football Club, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last week.
Craig Gordon and his fiancee Summer Harl tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last week after being together for eight years.

Yesterday, former Celtic TV presenter Summer shared the news that she and the Hearts goalkeeper had got married surrounded by their friends and family.

She wrote: "Mr & Mrs Gordon. 17.07.25. We did it!"

The couple share two young sons together, Ace and Axel, and also two daughters from Craig's previous marriage.
Let's take a look back at their relationship timeline after they met while both working for Celtic Football Club...

Meeting at Celtic
Craig and Summer initially met when they both worked at Celtic TV. Craig was the club's goalkeeper and Summer was the main host of Celtic TV. They didn't start dating until after Summer departed her role.
When the now dad-of-four left the club, Summer paid tribute to him on Instagram and shared a sweet snap of them both in the Celtic TV studio. She penned: "Hard to put six years into a caption, especially after you did it so eloquently.

"But I'm so proud of all you have achieved. You arrived as someone who had just spent two years out, unsure of how things would go. You leave with some incredible memories and as the most decorated goalkeeper the club has had.
"It's been amazing to watch you do this. From the Celtic TV studio, from the stands, and from our home. Thank you for letting me be part of this story. An Invincible, and a great pro... it's been quite the comeback CG. Here's to you, and to what awaits... we love you."
Blended family
Before Craig and Summer got together, he and his ex-wife Jennifer welcomed two daughters, Emma and Freya.

After they split and Craig met Summer, she took on the role of stepmother to the two girls, and she has regularly shared updates about their life as a blended family on her social media profiles. Summer has an incredible relationship with the girls and is often seen on Instagram taking them to concerts and other outings.
Speaking about Mother's Day previously, Summer said: "We all know you don't need to be a mother to really be a mother. Sometimes we give too much credit to biology. Parenthood requires love, not DNA. There are the most incredible people leading, inspiring, nurturing, and mothering in all kinds of ways.

"Teachers, carers, friends, nurses, step-parents, godparents, doctors and fathers going it alone - they all mother us. And so on this Mother's Day, if you're one of those people - celebrate yourself for offering a little slice of mothering to whoever is in your life!"
Before they welcomed their sons, Summer told her followers that the couple had been trying for a baby for 'quite some time'. In a blog post she answered a question asking if the pair were planning on having kids together, and she revealed she suffered from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) so had faced some challenges.

Summer said: "Yes absolutely, We would love to grow our family. We have been trying for quite a long time. I have PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) so we have been working our way through that for almost a year. It's really tough, but something that will work out one day."
In April 2021, Craig and Summer welcomed their son Ace and in April the following year they announced that they were expecting another child.
Axel Ever Gordon was born in September 2022.

The blended family of six are often spotted on Summer's Instagram enjoying family trips, holidays and days out.
Intimate wedding
In January 2023, Summer revealed that the pair had gotten engaged in a sweet post. Sharing a video with the caption 'Mrs Gordon to be', the clips shows the couple's two sons and Craig's daughters slowly removing their hands one-by-one to reveal a beautiful sparking oval shaped halo ring.

The couple got engaged in secret in December 2022 just days before Craig suffered a horrific injury after breaking both his legs.
In the post, Summer wrote: "Just over a month ago, all these hands - big and small, had a hand in the BEST moment. 21.12.22.
"A lot has happened since, and almost immediately after, so we decided to hold off celebrating for a bit, but sharing this (happier) news with family and friends has been so lovely. YES x 1,000,000.

"Mrs Gordon to be! X"
And just last night, Summer announced that they tied the knot surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
The bride wore a gorgeous short blazer style dress, whilst groom Craig wore a smart black tuxedo.

Alex Jones had ‘no idea' about complaints made against Jermaine Jenas

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was removed from the presenting team at BBC's Match Of The Day and The One Show following alleged issues relating to workplace conduct. Before he was sacked in August, Jenas had been a regular pundit on sports programmes and a presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live. Alex Jones attending the 2025 Bafta Television Awards with P&O Cruises at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London (Jordan Pettitt/PA) Jones, 48, who co-presented with Jenas on The One Show, told the Big Issue she did not know about the complaints until he had left. She said: 'I very much take people on face value. But with JJ [Jenas] I didn't know what was going on. 'I had no idea. I thought he was taking extended leave. 'The BBC didn't share with me what was going on until they actually dealt with it. And, you know, they did what they thought was right. 'If that was my daughter and she felt uncomfortable with someone's behaviour, I hope that whatever company she was working for would deal with it swiftly as well.' Jermaine Jenas insists he has taken responsibility for the conduct which led to his dismissal (Nigel French/PA) After being sacked from the BBC, Jenas apologised, saying he had done 'nothing illegal' and that 'inappropriate messages' sent were 'between two consenting adults'. Months later, Jenas' wife, Ellie Penfold, announced the couple had split up after 16 years together. In a statement on her Instagram story, Penfold said: 'I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it's necessary. 'After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. 'We will remain friends and continue to co-parent.' Alex Jones and Jason Manford stand outside Western House, London, after appearing on Chris Evans's Radio 2 breakfast show (Fiona Hanson/PA) Jenas returned to broadcasting on TalkSport radio in February after the outlet distanced itself from him in the wake of his departure from the BBC. It is not the first time Jones has had a co-presenter leave The One Show with Jason Manford, who joined the programme at the same time as her in August 2010, resigning only three months into the role for sharing sexual internet messages with female fans. Despite co-presenting on the show for a few months, Jones said she is still 'really good pals' with Manford. – The full interview with Alex Jones can be read in this week's Big Issue, on sale now.
