In an X Spaces chat on March 31 Cardi said, 'the features on my album are really good… I don't have a lot of features but I'm working with artists, some that I have worked before and some that I haven't worked before. And the ones that I have not worked before, I feel like it's gonna really, really surprise y'all.'
In the Insta chat this week, she admitted to fans that she often doesn't 'feel too confident' about a lot of things, but that she's 'very confident' about the unnamed follow-up to her smash 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy. 'These motherf–kers almost cried listening to my s–t,' she said of her team, noting that they told her there were 'no skips' on the album.
'It's iconic! This album is so good!' Cardi raved. 'I put my whole p–sy on it! I rapped with the bottom of my p–sy! So hurry up!' While Cardi did not specify who she is waiting on, she again encouraged them to get in the booth because, flipping her hair back and forth across her face she promised, 'this album is for the books!… Like, the production, the production, the feelings, the words, the rap… it's just, it's really there. Y'all not even understanding.'
At press time no release date or track list for the untitled album had been announced.

Lil Nas X jailed on suspicion of charging at police on LA street where he walked nearly naked
LOS ANGELES — Rapper Lil Nas X was arrested and briefly taken to a hospital for a suspected overdose Thursday after Los Angeles police say he charged at officers responding to a report of a naked man walking on a busy boulevard. Lil Nas X, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an officer and was being held in jail. Officers found him walking on the normally very busy Ventura Boulevard in the Studio City neighborhood shortly before 6 a.m., Los Angeles police spokesman Officer Charles Miller said. After charging at arriving police, he was taken into custody, but the officers, suspecting a drug overdose, took him to a hospital first, Miller said. There was no further word on his condition, but he was released from the hospital and taken to jail after just a few hours. Video obtained by TMZ appeared to show him on the street wearing only underwear and boots. He was being held at Valley Jail in Van Nuys, near where the police found him. Messages to Lil Nas X representatives seeking comment were not immediately answered. The 26-year-old rapper and singer from Atlanta is best known for his huge hit from 2018, 'Old Town Road,' which merged country and hip-hop. It spent a record 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Known for his genre-bending, innovating sounds and style, his first full studio album, 2021's 'Montero,' went to No. 2 on the Billboard album chart and was nominated for a Grammy for album of the year.

Broadway babe Sutton Foster is desperate to make amends to former pal Deborra-Lee Furness after taking up with the Aussie's now ex-husband, Hugh Jackman — but the Wolverine hunk's emotionally wounded former wife wants no part of his new gal's mea culpas, sources say. 'Sutton and Debs were friends,' an insider explains. 'They used to go on double dates with their husbands and even hung out one-on-one a handful of times. That's partly why it stings so badly for Debs — and it's why Sutton does feel a tremendous sense of guilt and really wants to try to mend fences.' Fivio Foreign Says He ‘Can't Say a Nas Bar' Despite Them Having a Song Together
The Jim Jones vs. Nas debate—started by Capo himself—continues. On Sunday (Aug. 17), Jones debuted his new podcast, Artist 2 Artist, where he sat down with New York rapper Fivio Foreign. At one point, Jones brought up fellow New Yorker Nas, which prompted Fivio to share his own take on the venerated Queens artist. 'I'm not saying that the man is wack, he's not a legend,' Fivio said at around the 46:30 minute mark. 'I got a song with the n***a—I got a song on the album and the album got a Grammy. But I can't sit there and say a Nas bar to you or a song.' He then proceeded to name a song. 'I like 'One Mic,'' he said, referencing the 2001 Stillmatic album cut. The discourse surrounding Capo and Nas began in late June, when Jones appeared on Fat Joe and Jadakiss' podcast and boasted about his achievements. 'They forget, I got a hell of a catalog. "If you want to go to the Billboard entries, pull up Nas' Billboard entries and pull up my Billboard entries." The Jim Jones/Nas debate continued days after the Dipset capo's initial statement. On Shannon Sharpe and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson's podcast, Nightcap, Sharpe challenged Jones. 'Were you smoking when you said you were better than Nas?' Sharpe asked, which prompted Jones to declare that he's 'way more influential than Nas.' Jones was once again asked about the comparison on the BagFuel podcast, where he said he made Nas go 'viral.' Jones added, 'He's never been talked about like this ever in his life." As Fivio pointed out, he and ASAP Ferg appeared on Nas' song 'Spicy' from his 2020 album, King's Disease, which won the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2021. Fivio also recently hopped on Jones' 2024 song, 'Cinema,' alongside Dyce Payso and Keen Streetz.
