
N.B. RCMP investigating fatal crash near Shediac
The New Brunswick RCMP says it is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 15 near Shediac.
Police say a vehicle was heading westbound at the time of the incident on Thursday. There is no word on the number of fatalities or how many people were in the vehicle.
A section of Highway 15 between the Ohia Road and Chesley Street exits was closed for more than six hours following the incident.

Crash between RCMP vehicle and SUV under investigation in Surrey

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck Nobody was seriously hurt after an RCMP vehicle and an SUV crashed in Surrey's Cloverdale area Sunday night, according to authorities. An officer with the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit was responding to an emergency call just before 8:30 p.m. when an SUV crashed into the vehicle at the intersection of 176 Street and 64 Avenue, police said. 'The occupants of the SUV, two adults and a small child, were taken to hospital by (B.C. Emergency Health Services) and examined by medical staff and it was determined that they had no injuries,' the Surrey Police Service wrote in a news release Monday. 'The RCMP officer was taken to hospital, examined, and later released with minor injuries.' The SPOSU's major crime MVI unit and the integrated collision analysis and reconstruction service were called in to investigate and the intersection was closed for several hours as a result. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined. Police asked anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera video to call 604-599-0502.

Pedestrian airlifted with serious injuries after collision on Gravenhurst Parkway

A portion of Gravenhurst Parkway in Gravenhurst is closed Monday morning for an ongoing police investigation after a collision involving a pedestrian. According to Ontario Provincial Police, the incident happened shortly after 7 a.m. Monday. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre. No other injuries were reported. Police have closed Gravenhurst Parkway from Heywood Road to Highway 118 East for the investigation. There is no timeline for when it might reopen at this time.
