Twinkle Khanna was in shorts during her mehndi, recalls celebrity mehndi artist: ‘Dimple Kapadia opened the door and…'
Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar tied the knot 24 years ago in an intimate ceremony. The couple invited 50 guests and surprised everyone when they announced their wedding. Recently, mehndi artist Veena Nagda, who applied mehndi for Twinkle on her big day, recalled the time when she got an urgent call from Twinkle for a bridal mehndi, but since Twinkle did not reveal her identity, Veena was completely surprised when she saw the bride-to-be walking around in her shorts.
In a chat with the YouTube channel Meri Sahelli, Veena shared that she can never forget Twinkle and Akshay's wedding as this one of the few times when she got a call from the bride herself. 'I will never forget Twinkle Khanna because she was the one who called me for her mehndi. She called me and said, 'You have to come tomorrow for the mehndi for the bride and 10 other people'. She called me just one day prior. I didn't know it was Twinkle who was calling me,' she said.
Veena Nagda shared that she was given an address but when she reached there, a car came to pick her up and that's when she reached the actor's apartment. 'We went but we didn't know the exact destination. We were given someone else's address. We reached there and from there, a car came to pick us up and that's when we got to her house,' she said and added that when she rang the door bell, Dimple Kapadia welcomed her into the house.

'When I got to her house, Dimple Kapadia opened the door. She asked me if I was surprised, I still didn't get it. Twinkle came and she started checking out the designs so I thought it must be her friend's wedding. She was sitting in shorts. That's when she declared that it's my wedding and I want to get bridal mehndi. I was so suprised. She also told me that the wedding is happening the same day. The mehndi was in the morning. I wondered how will the mehndi get enough time to darken?' she recalled.
Veena Nagda said that by the time she got done with the bride's mehndi, it was already 4 pm, and she was supposed to get married at 7 pm. 'By 5-6 pm, she removed the mehndi. But by the next day, the mehndi was dark and she called me and said, 'Veena ji, it's so dark now,'' she recalled.
In an earlier chat shared on Tweak India's YouTube channel, Twinkle Khanna said that when Akshay Kumar expressed that he wanted to marry her, Dimple Kapadia asked them to live together before tying the knot. 'When my husband said he wants to marry me, my mother said, 'Nothing doing, you live together for two years. If you make it, then you get married',' she said. The couple did not follow that advice and chose to get married.

Did Aamir Khan reject Rs 120 crore OTT deal for Sitaare Zameen Par, championing theatre-first release model? Here's what we know
Aamir Khan is once again taking an unconventional route with his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor has reportedly declined a massive Rs 120 crore offer from Amazon Prime Video for the film's digital rights, choosing instead to delay its OTT release in a bid to revive India's theatre-going culture. According to trade analyst Komal Nahta, Khan's decision is a calculated move to push audiences back into cinema halls. 'The idea is to make people choose the big screen experience again by not giving them the home-viewing option so soon," a source close to the development told News18. However, there has been no official statement from Aamir on the same. Aamir stands firm against early OTT releases Over the last few years, the industry has witnessed a swift shift toward streaming platforms, with most films dropping on OTT just a few weeks after their theatrical debut. Aamir Khan, however, believes this model has significantly contributed to the drop in footfalls at movie theatres. This isn't the first offer Khan has turned down either. Sources reveal that Netflix had also expressed interest in acquiring Sitaare Zameen Par, but the actor-producer reportedly declined that deal as well, firmly standing by a delayed digital release strategy. MrBeast eyes Emmy nomination for Beast Games, says ‘minds are gonna be blown' with Season 2
MrBeast has urged fans to vote for his TV series Beast Games in the outstanding reality competition program and host categories in the upcoming Emmy awards. Nomination voting for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards began on June 12 and ends on June 23, ahead of the announcement of official nominations on July 15. There are 600 series in contention across the 15 program categories. Speaking to Variety, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, said he wants people to know of the efforts that have gone into making the show. Beast Games is facing major competition from popular titles like RuPaul's Drag Race, The Traitors, The Amazing Race and Top Chef. The biggest YouTuber across the globe with more than 402 million subscribers, MrBeast said it's hard to do theorised content on the video sharing platform, since people doing 10-episode shows "don't really do that well, because YouTube recommends random videos." He said the plan was to do something where his team can go in depth and do more storytelling. Asked how the show bolstered his YouTube viewership, MrBeast stated that it "wasn't a money play, per se." "It did reach an audience, which was cool, and it had a higher female penetration than my YouTube channel does, so a lot of it was a different demo," he told the news outlet. MrBeast highlighted that his team has set a standard that they follow and want their content to be viewed by people as a family and not have to worry about something they don't want their family to see. On the response from viewers, MrBeast shared that several parents told him that it was a way for them to connect with their children. In the second season of the TV series, MrBeast is planning to set the bar higher. He revealed that it will be more skill-based, a 'little less-like randomness." Fans might not have to wait for too long for the Season 2 of Beast Games as he said they are actually in the middle of filming right now. "The games are so good. (There are) epic sets. People's minds are gonna be blown with this season," he said. Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, is the world's biggest YouTuber with more than 402 million subscribers. According to MrBeast, the show reached 50 million viewers in just 25 days after its premiere on December 19 last year. As of now, there is no official release date for Season 2 of Beast Games.

In a new behind-the-scenes (BTS) video shared on YouTube, Ed Sheeran opens up about how the legendary actor ended up being part of the track. In the video, Ed takes fans through his journey across India, mentioning how he travelled to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai to shoot various portions of Sapphire. But it was his meeting with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai that became the highlight. 'There is no need to give context of who Shah Rukh Khan is,' Ed said. 'I would say he is probably like the first or second most famous person in the world.' He went on to reveal how the superstar invited him over to his home to play paddle. 'So we played paddle for like 3 hours and then he pitched me an idea and was like, 'Do it whenever,' and I was like, 'To be honest, I am here so like do you want to get dinner tomorrow?'' Their dinner plans turned into something far more iconic. Ed, who had already been singing the tune in Hindi by then, ended up recording parts of the song in a studio—his first time singing in Hindi. The music video was shot under the direction of Siddharth Anand, who also directed Shah Rukh in Pathaan. Ed shared how Siddharth coordinated the shoot with SRK: 'He informed me that Shah Rukh wants to meet me at his house and was waiting there. I went there with my dad and Nic, we had dinner, and then we shot his cameo.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top-Rated Senior-Friendly Laptops Search7 Learn More Undo After wrapping up the scene, Ed said SRK gave him a big hug.
