Third person charged for April shooting incident in Waterloo
Residents in Waterloo told officers gunshots rang out around 3:30 a.m. in the area of University Avenue East and Weber Street North.
No one was hurt in what police called a 'targeted' incident.
A teen and 25-year-old man from Halton were arrested the same day.
On Thursday, police announced the arrested a third person, a 24-year-old man from Kitchener. He was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, uttering threats to cause death, possession for the purpose of trafficking, disobeying a court order and failing to comply with an undertaking.
The 25-year-old man, meanwhile, has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a weapon, breaching probation and failure to comply with a court order.
The teen was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm and unauthorized possession of a fire.
Police have not shared any further details about what led up to the shooting.

Man dead after Terrebonne construction site accident
A 21-year-old man is dead after a workplace accident at a construction site in Terrebonne, north of Montreal, on Monday afternoon. According to Terrebonne police, the man was working at a site on Florimond-Gauthier Street. Noovo Info reports that road, water pipe and sewer repairs were being carried out in the area. Police would not confirm the specifics of the incident, but some media reports mention that the man may have been crushed by the bucket of an excavator. A 31-year-old from Mattawa, Ont., has been charged with uttering threats and impaired driving following an incident late last month. (File) A 31-year-old from Mattawa, Ont., has been charged with uttering threats and impaired driving following an incident late last month. 'A weapon was reportedly brandished and the accused was later determined to have been driving while under the influence of an intoxicating substance,' North Bay Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Monday. The incident took place around 9:30 on July 26 on Brydges Street in Mattawa. Pointed crossbow at victims 'One individual had reportedly brandished a crossbow, uttered threats and pointed the weapon in the direction of the victims,' police said. 'Officers located and arrested the accused, who was determined to have been driving and had consumed an intoxicating substance.' Charges include driving while impaired by drugs, failing to comply with a demand, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and weapons possession. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Sept. 2. The vehicle was impounded for a week and the suspect's driver's licence was suspended for 90 days.
