Al Shamsi expressed his gratitude for the Higher Committee's hard work and dedication in overseeing the program's progress in various clubs across the emirate. He praised their important role in supporting and ensuring the success of the Sharjah Summer Sports Program.
During their visit, the delegation observed the activities happening on the fourth day of "This is Sharjah" Week. These included various heritage activities, like the "Craft in Sharjah Sea" workshop run by the Pearl of Heritage Foundation, along with religious, educational, sports, and entertainment events.
The delegation from the Higher Committee commended the "Our Holiday is Different" team at Al Hamriyah Club for their outstanding organization and noted the positive engagement of participants in the workshops and activities offered by the program.

Supporting national vision through youth empowerment His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi emphasised that the competition reflects Al Hamriyah Club's commitment to equipping youth with future-ready tools. He highlighted the importance of developing young people's skills in innovation and technology, in line with the UAE's national goal of building a knowledge-based and creative generation grounded in artificial intelligence.

Meanwhile, the team's players expressed their satisfaction with the general atmosphere and the beginning of preparations, affirming their readiness to give their best during the preparatory phase, which includes intensive physical and technical training, in preparation for the scheduled external camp later, which will be an important milestone in honing skills and enhancing harmony among the team members.

The championship saw the participation of 71 players from various clubs across the Emirate, with the aim of attracting talented individuals. Promoting Chess and Developing Skills Al Mulla confirmed that the Sharjah Summer Sports Rapid Chess Championship, organised by the club, aims to promote the game of chess within the community, discover promising talents in the sport, and enhance the skills of participants through interaction and competition with players from different clubs. Part of 'Our Holiday is Different' Activities In a special statement to 'Sharjah 24,' Al Mulla noted that the championship is part of the 'Our Holiday is Different' summer programme, held under the patronage and supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council. The competition featured 71 participants across seven rounds. Winners Honoured at Closing Ceremony At the end of the championship, five players were honoured for securing the top positions, in addition to a special award presented to the best-performing female participant .
