Realme P4 and P4 Pro arrive with 7,000mAh batteries and 80W charging

GSM Arena7 hours ago
Realme launched the P3 series earlier this year, now it ticks up to the P4 generation. Both phones have massive 7,000mAh batteries with fast 80W charging along with large 144Hz OLED displays with 6.8' diagonals (or so).
The Realme P4 Pro is not a wholly unique model, rather it's quite close to the Realme 15 Pro – the 50MP ultra-wide camera is replaced by a more basic 8MP unit and the build has been altered by dropping the aluminum frame and reducing the IP68/IP69 rating down to IP65/IP66, but that's about it.
Realme P4 Pro at a glance
The P4 Pro has a 6.8' 1280p+ 144Hz OLED display with 10-bit colors and 6,500 nits of peak brightness. It's protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and has an optical fingerprint reader underneath. Note that the display is slightly curved on all four sides.
This model is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 paired with 8/12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage (non-expandable). It runs Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 out of the box.
Realme P4 Pro highlights
On the rear, the main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor (1/1.56') and an f/1.8 lens with OIS. The ultra-wide (112°) as mentioned has an 8MP sensor. The selfie camera, however, retains its 50MP sensor and (like the main camera) is capable of 4K video recording at 60fps.

The Realme P4 Pro will be available in India from August 27 at an introductory price. The base 8/128GB model starts at ₹25,000, the 8/256GB one is ₹27,000 and the 12/256GB one is ₹29,000. For reference, this converts to $290/$310/$330, respectively. You can also find it on Flipkart. Whether the P4 series go global like the P3 series did remains to be seen.
By the way, we have a Realme P4 Pro in for review, so stay tuned for a detailed look at the new model.
The Realme P4 is also not entirely novel, but it does have more changes to its name – we're comparing it to the Narzo 80 Pro. It adds an ultra-wide camera – just an 8MP module, but the Narzo had none – 1,000mAh more battery capacity and it boosts the display to 144Hz.
Said display is a 6.77' OLED panel with 10-bit colors and 4,500 nits peak brightness. It has 1080p+ resolution and is flat. The under display fingerprint reader is also the optical kind.
Realme P4 highlights
The vanilla P4 is powered by the Dimensity 7400 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage (there's no microSD slot here either). Like its Pro sibling, it runs Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 out of the box.
The 50MP camera here is based on the smaller OmniVision OV50D sensor and lacks OIS. Also, video recording at 4K tops out at 30fps. The front-facing camera is a 16MP module with 1080p @ 30fps video capabilities.
Both the P4 and P4 Pro have 7,000mAh batteries with 80W Ultra Charge support. They are rated IP65/IP66 for resistance against low and high pressure water jets. These are dual-SIM 5G phones with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. They have IR blasters but no NFC.
Realme P4 in Steel Grey, Engine Blue and Forge Red
The Realme P4 will be available in India from realme.com and Flipkart later today with a starting price of ₹18,500 for the 6/128GB model. The 8/128GB option goes for ₹19,500 and the 8/256GB model is ₹21,500. These convert to $215/$225/$245.
