Hey you on the red carpet: What's your favorite car in a movie or television show?

IndyStar posed a single question to several celebrities and athletes who walked the Indy 500 red carpet Sunday: What is your favorite car you've seen in a movie or show?
Here are some of their answers:
Terry Crews (retired NFL player and actor from 'Everybody Hates Chris' and 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'): Herbie from 'The Love Bug':
'It was cute. It was wonderful. It was for family. It's kind of like me,' Crews said with a laugh.
Kathy Ireland (actress; designer; entrepreneur; and model for Sports Illustrated, Vogue; and Cosmopolitan): the magical flying car from 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.'
DeForest Buckner (Colts defensive tackle): James Bond's Aston Martins.
Kat McNamara (singer and actress known for 'Shadowhunters'): the Mystery Machine from 'Scooby-Doo' and the Millennium Falcon from 'Star Wars.'
'I'm just a big old nerd,' McNamara said. 'Those were the ones that I think were iconic for me growing up as a kid. Full disclosure: When I'm at Comic Con and there's a Mystery Machine or Millennium Falcon, I will go see it and sit in it and hang out.'
(Editor's note: People may disagree as to whether the Falcon is a car, but it's race day and we're having fun, so we're counting it.)
Matt Barr (actor from 'Hatfields & McCoys' 'Blood & Treasure,' and 'Walker'): the Shelby Cobra from 1995's 'Bad Boys.'
'There's something about those kind of classic cars — there's a danger to them, you know … you just drive and the universe decides what happens,' Barr said.
Katie Feeney (social media content creator who has covered major sporting events): the Batmobile.
'I love superheroes, and I love any Marvel … type of movies,' Feeney said.
Natalie Grant (Grammy-nominated vocalist who sang the national anthem at the 2025 Indy 500): Herbie from 'The Love Bug.'
It was 'cute, felt like it was your friend, felt like it loved you. It was just like, how could you not love it?' Grant said.
Ephraim Owens (musician, composer and bandleader from Indianapolis who sang 'America the Beautiful' at the 2025 Indy 500): 'My son would hate me if I didn't say this, but 'Lightning McQueen' wins every time.'
Owens said his son loves that McQueen is 'really, really fast and he's funny. And he loves saying 'Ka chow.''
Michael Evans Behling (actor, known for 'All American' who attended Columbus North High School in Indiana): the Batmobile Tumbler from 'The Dark Knight.'
'I love its versatility and the fact that it can blow things up but also go silent,' Behling said.
Reggie Wayne (former Colts player and now wide receivers coach): 'Eleanor,' the 1967 Ford Mustang from 'Gone in 60 Seconds'.

New Easter Eggs For Taylor Swift's 12th Album

Swifties, hi! It's been awhile. What have we been up to? Sitting around passing the time, trying to manifest Taylor Swift's 12th album? Yeah, same. Well...I've got some news that might just make your brain explode from excitement (and it's not a drill this time around). But first, lemme catch up the non-superfans. Ever since Taylor Swift wrapped up The Eras Tour in December (8 months ago, if you can believe it), she's been a She hasn't released an album (or re-recording) since The Tortured Poets Department came out on April 19, 2024. Taylor also had one of her longest social media silences ever, which ended when she announced she'd bought back her first six albums on May 30. On the topic of her final two re-recordings, Reputation (Taylor's Version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version), Taylor wrote, "Those 2 albums can still have their moments to re-emerge when the time is right, if that would be something you guys would be excited about." She also admitted she "[hasn't] even re-recorded a quarter" of Rep TV. So all that to say: Despite what most fans assumed until that point, Taylor's next release will almost certainly not be the re-recordings. So that begs the question: When is Taylor Swift's 12th studio album (AKA TS12) gonna come out? Taylor is known for her Easter eggs, so have there been any thus far? WHAT'S THE SITCH??? Let's chat. First, TS12 theories aren't new. Taylor and her team have teased the number 12 a LOT in the last few months. Plus, her earrings at the most-recent Grammy Awards had 12 stones in them (and Taylor is known for leaving Easter eggs in clothing). At the end of The Eras Tour Book, which came out in November, Taylor wrote "See you next era...", hinting that there might be a brand-new "era" (AKA album) soon. Finally, through even more sleuthing on Taylor's outfits, fans have suspected her next album will be orange or purple. But amidst all these subtle Easter eggs, we've all been waiting for any SOLID evidence from Taylor Nation, Taylor Swift's team-run account for fans. And we got it today! On Aug. 11, Taylor Nation posted a carousel of 12 (yep, 12) photos of Taylor from The Eras Tour, ALL WEARING ORANGE OUTFITS, with the caption: "Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…' ❤️‍🔥" Also worth noting is that Sabrina Carpenter is featured in the last photo of the carousel, so people think Sabrina might be featured on Taylor's 12th album. SO SOUND YOUR ALARMS, because in Swiftville, that's basically an official announcement. Or rather, an announcement that there WILL be an announcement veryyy soon. It's also essentially confirmation that her incoming era will indeed be orange! (See, us fans were finally right about something!) But that's not all: Fans are convinced they know WHEN and HOW Taylor will make the announcement, and it has to do with Taylor's boyfriend of almost two years, NFL player Travis Kelce. You may know that Travis and his brother Jason host the New Heights podcast together, where they mainly (but not always) discuss NFL-related topics. They'll occasionally feature a guest in an episode, and when they do, they'll normally post a thumbnail with a YELLOW background. Well, they just teased a "VERY special guest" with a black silhouette of the mystery an ORANGE background. Sensing a pattern? Fans also noticed Jason is wearing a Taylor Swift shirt in the podcast teaser photo, and Taylor's record label, Republic Records, liked the post. Fans immediately suspected the surprise guest is Taylor, and theorized that she's announcing TS12 in the episode. So how did the Kelce brothers respond to this? They quoted their own tweet with the emojis "👀🧡" — potentially confirming fans' theory!!! Besides, if that isn't enough, the episode drops Wednesday, August 13, which totally aligns with Taylor's obsession with the number 13. So with all of this in mind, it's fair to assume Taylor's 12th album is en route, and it's coming FAST. And Swifties are absolutely freaking out about it, of course. Soooo in the meantime, I'll be crossing my fingers we do get TS12 news on Wednesday, and keeping my eyes open for any additional Easter eggs (because I'm positive we've missed plenty). Annnnd you'll also find me listening to "So High School" on repeat! What are your thoughts on these TS12 announcement Easter eggs? Are you convinced, or still on the fence? Tell me in the comments below! And we're all Swifties over here at BuzzFeed Canada (whether we admit it or not)...so check us out on Instagram and TikTok for more!

Taylor Swift on Travis Kelce's podcast? Swifties think it's about to happen. Here's why

Travis and Jason Kelce are going to have a 'a special episode with a VERY special guest' on their 'New Heights' podcast this week. That's big news ... because that mystery guest can be only one person, right? Just to be clear, the person in question would be Travis Kelce's girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift. Kelce and Swift have been an item for roughly two years now. And while the 'Love Story' singer has become a fixture at NFL games to root for her beau, she has never appeared on the popular podcast the Kansas City Chiefs tight end hosts with his brother, a retired Philadelphia Eagles center. That could change in a couple of days, based on a tease posted on the 'New Heights' social media accounts Monday — and on Swifties' interpretations of the tease. The text is straightforward, simply informing fans of the special nature of the episode and the guest and noting it will drop Wednesday at 4 p.m. PDT. The real juicy bits, though — if Swift's fans are to be believed — are apparently found in the post's graphic. Over the years, Swifties have become pretty good at spotting and deciphering Easter Eggs, so here's what jumped out at the 'You Need to Calm Down' singer's diehard fans (based on observations they posted on social media and Reddit): 1. A silhouette of a slender person with long hair appears between images of the Kelce brothers, and naturally fans are convinced it can only be that of one particular slender woman with long hair. One commenter on X insists they can see Swift's bangs in the completely darkened image. 2. Jason Kelce appears to be wearing a shirt bearing Swift's image. Swifties are noting that the garment is from the Eras tour and that Travis is wearing one from that tour as well. This reporter, who did not attend the Eras tour, has no reason to doubt them on this. 3. The graphic's background color is orange and sparkly. This apparently is seen as a reference to a particular dress Swift wore during the Eras tour. (Although didn't she famously change her outfit more than a dozen times during each performance? Or so we've heard.) 4. Travis Kelce has a giant smile on his face. OK, sure, he has probably smiled numerous times during his life — like, say, maybe after at least one of the three Super Bowls he won with the Chiefs. But apparently he has a special grin reserved for the 'Lover' singer, which one X commenter refers to as his 'Tay smile.' There are many other observations — including several that involve numbers, math and calendar dates — all of which clearly add up not only to Swift being the podcast's 'VERY special guest' but also that she will be there to announce something else very special, like perhaps a new album. (Reminder: This is only a fan theory; please remain calm.) It wouldn't be the first time this summer that Swift has made an appearance during one of her boyfriend's projects. In June, she gave a surprise acoustic performance of her hit 'Shake It Off' at a concert linked to Kelce's Tight End University camp. Come to think of it, Swift was introduced onstage that night by singer Kane Brown as a 'really, really, really special guest.' That's pretty darn close to 'VERY special guest,' don't you think? Hmmmm ...

Is Taylor Swift announcing her new album on Travis Kelce's podcast? A look at the clues driving fan theories.

Swift and the NFL player, who cohosts 'New Heights' with brother Jason Kelce, have been dating for more than two years. Is Taylor Swift appearing on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast New Heights? That's what fans are speculating, along with the possibility of major news from the pop star. The speculation began Monday morning, when Kelce posted an image for Wednesday's upcoming special episode of New Heights, which he cohosts with his brother, Jason. The image features both Kelce brothers at the mic, along with a silhouette of their mysterious guest — a silhouette that just so happens to resemble Kelce's girlfriend of more than two years. The caption of the post? '92%ers, we're coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest. New episode Wednesday 7PM ET.' And it's not merely the Swift-like silhouette that is sending fans into a spiral. For one thing, Jason appears to be wearing this Swift merch in the photo — it's just cleverly blocked out with text. Immediately, fans flooded the comments section with Swift mentions. 'Living for the hope of it all,' one joked, a reference to Swift's song 'August' from her album Folklore. 'I know a taylor swift when i see one,' another wrote, while a third warned, 'I really don't appreciate being bullied on a Monday morning. If this isn't blondie, I'm putting ya'll in exile.' And there's more where this excitement came from. One hour after Kelce posted, Taylor Nation — the official platform for all things Swift — took to Instagram to share a post featuring 12 slides. They captioned the post, which features Swift in exclusively all-orange outfits from the Eras Tour, 'Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…'' Swifties have long speculated that orange would be the color scheme for Swift's 12th album. At the end of Swift's Eras Tour set, a visual of an orange door was projected onto the stage — suggesting that Swift may be walking into another 'era' that is coded with this color, one of the few colors that isn't already associated with a previous album of hers. Oh, and what's the color used for the background of Kelce's Instagram post? Why, it's orange, of course. Is it possible that Swift's potential New Heights appearance is also a new album announcement? There's one more clue pointing in that direction: The new podcast drops on Aug. 13, making it a combination of Swift's song 'August' and her lucky number. Of course, Swift fans will have to hold their breath until Wednesday to find out what, if anything, this couple is up to. After all, as every longtime Swiftie knows, even the most seemingly obvious clues don't always lead to a major announcement. Solve the daily Crossword
