Telangana CM greets BRS leader KTR on birthday
The Chief Minister wished Rama Rao a healthy and long life. In a message on the Chief Minister's Office's 'X' handle, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings to Rama Rao, who is a member of Telangana Assembly from Sircilla constituency.
Revanth Reddy wished that God may grant him complete health and long life so that he continues to serve people and strive for the development of the state.
BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha also took to 'X' to greet her brother on his birthday. "Annayya. Many happy returns of the day," wrote Kavitha.
KTR, as the BRS leader is popularly known, celebrated his birthday at party headquarters Telangana Bhavan. His supporters welcomed him with cheers of 'CM, CM' on his arrival.
BRS leaders and workers greeted KTR, who cut a cake on the occasion.
BRS leader and former MP J. Santosh Kumar also greeted his cousin. "Happiest Birthday to my dearest Annayya! From our childhood mischiefs to your inspiring life journey, every moment shared is a cherished memory. Your wisdom, kindness, and support mean the world to me. Wishing you boundless health, happiness, and ongoing success," posted Santosh Kumar.
Several leaders of BRS and well-wishers also greeted KTR.
The BRS leaders organised various social activities to celebrate KTR's birthday.
Santosh Kumar and MLA T. Srinivas Yadav gifted 100 benches to a school.
Ahead of his birthday, KTR distributed 5,000 KCR Kits among mothers across Telangana as part of the 'Gift a Smile' initiative.
The BRS sharply criticised the Congress government for discontinuing the KCR kit scheme, accusing it of doing so merely because the programme brings goodwill to former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
He said that many mothers have been suffering due to the suspension of the scheme for the past 20 months.

'During the dharna, Revanth Reddy made it very clear that he was seeking 42 per cent BC reservations only in Telangana and not in Gujarat or Uttar Pradesh. But Rahul Gandhi says that the agitation was meant not just for the BCs of Telangana but the entire country. Their contradictory statements exposed the double-standards of the Congress on BCs,' he said. Quoting Abraham Lincoln, the former irrigation minister concluded: 'You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.'

BJP's Ramchander Rao seeks CBI probe into Kaleshwaram ‘scam'; pushes for new irrigation project
ADILABAD: BJP state president N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday demanded a CBI inquiry into alleged corruption in the execution of Kaleshwaram project. During his visit to Sirpur-Khagaznagar in Kumurambheem Asifabad district, he pushed for a separate irrigation project at Tummadihatti to address water scarcity in the region. He emphasised the need for a new project following the realignment of the Pranahita-Chevella scheme, which would provide water to 2.5 lakh acres. He proposed constructing the project at the confluence of the Wardha and Wainganga rivers near Tummadihatti, urging the state government to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) and submit it to the Centre for approval. Ramchander Rao alleged that the previous BRS government had misused public funds in the Kaleshwaram project, leading to structural failures like the Medigadda barrage cracks. He accused the KCR family of treating the project as an 'ATM' and siphoning off crores. Despite the National Dam Safety Authority exposing design flaws, Rao questioned why only officials -- and not politicians or contractors -- had been arrested, hinting at a possible Congress-BRS nexus. Criticising Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for his frequent Delhi visits and administrative neglect, Ramchander Rao claimed the Congress government had failed farmers and the public. He dismissed both Congress and BRS as 'two sides of the same coin,' advocating for a BJP 'double-engine' government to ensure development. Rao listed Central initiatives like free rice (5 kg/person), Ayushman Bharat, and `5 lakh medical coverage, accusing the state of withholding PM Modi's photo on ration cards 'out of jealousy'.

KTR wishes on National Handloom Day, Praises Telangana Weavers
BRS Working President and former Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) extended heartfelt greetings to handloom artisans in a message commemorating National Handloom Day. In his remarks, KTR praised Telangana's weavers for their remarkable skill, particularly noting their ability to weave sarees small enough to fit in a matchbox. KTR expressed admiration for the dedication of handloom workers who have sustained a stable presence in the industry by honouring the craftsmanship passed down through generations. The former minister recalled a time when the livelihoods of weavers suffered under a previous unity government, asserting that the BRS regime has since revitalised the sector. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) with implementing innovative schemes aimed at bringing back handloom workers who had migrated to places like Surat and Bhiwandi in search of employment.
