Como chief speaks out on Álvaro Morata chase
Como president Mirwan Suwarso has this weekend opened up on the club's ongoing pursuit of Spanish international Álvaro Morata. The name of frontman Morata has emerged as an altogether prominent one in the headlines across Italy over recent weeks. This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the experienced frontman has made his way to the very top of the summer transfer wishlist at the aforementioned Como. Talks, in turn, have long been kicked into gear between the brass at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, and their counterparts at AC Milan, Morata's parent club. Speaking during an exchange with the media on Sunday, the subject of the 32-year-old's potential arrival was therefore put to the aforementioned Mirwan Suwarso. And in his response, Como's president went on to confirm that his side are now simply waiting for Milan and Galatasaray – where Morata is currently on loan – to finalise the termination of their agreement: 'Álvaro Morata deal is ready. He has agreed on terms and we've agreed on every detail with AC Milan. We just wait on Galatasaray to speak to AC Milan. We did our job.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Report – Inter Milan & Atalanta To Meet Tuesday For Ademola Lookman Talks
Inter Milan and Atalanta are set to meet on Tuesday to continue negotiations for forward Ademola Lookman. This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport italia, via FCInterNews. Recent reports indicate that Inter Milan are ready to make an improved offer for Ademola Lookman. The Nerazzurri have already had a €40 million offer for the Nigerian rejected. Atalanta reportedly made a counteroffer of around €50 million. However, Inter could split the difference. Sky report that the Nerazzurri are to increase their offer to around €43 million. (Photo by) Now the question is when Inter will launch their next bid to sign Lookman. Reports suggest that the Nerazzurri will make the offer early next week. But the exact timing remains a bit of a mystery. However, the Corriere dello Sport note that the meeting of the assembly of the Lega Serie A will be on Tuesday. And that could present the perfect opportunity for Inter to make their move. Inter President Beppe Marotta will be present at the assembly meeting. As will Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi. And according to Sky Sport Italia, that will be the meeting where Inter present their new offer for Lookman. The broadcaster anticipate that the Nerazzurri's next bid won't be over €43 million.

Revealed – How France U21 Star Will Be Used At Inter Milan Next Season
Inter Milan are planning to have Ange-Yoan Bonny be the backup to Marcus Thuram next season. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908. Striker Ange-Yoan Bonny joined Inter Milan this summer. The Frenchman arrived on a five-year deal from Parma. Bonny had been a Parma player for four years, having signed for the Emilian club in 2021. And last season was Bonny's first in Serie A. He made the step up well, helping Parma to remain in the top flight. Therefore, Bonny caught Inter's eye. And the fact that Cristian Chivu took over as Inter coach following his successful stint in charge of Parma certainly didn't hurt Bonny as a target for the Nerazzurri. Inter Milan See Ange-Yoan Bonny As Marcus Thuram Backup PARMA, ITALY – DECEMBER 15: Ange-Yoan Bonny of Parma Calcio reacts during the Serie A match between Parma and Verona at Stadio Ennio Tardini on December 15, 2024 in Parma, Italy. (Photo by) Clearly, Inter Milan are not planning to make Ange-Yoan Bonny a first-choice striker right away. However, that leads to the question of exactly what the 21-year-old's role will be at the Nerazzurri next season. Particularly considering the expected arrival of Ademola Lookman or a different attacker to facilitate the switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation. According to Tuttosport, Inter's plan is to have Bonny be the backup to fellow Frenchman Marcus Thuram. Clearly, Thuram will not start every match next season. And Inter's idea is that, rather than having an older player to back up the 27-year-old, Bonny can be his understudy, learning and improving.
