Workshop on Single Window Portal for entrepreneurs held in Dindigul
Speaking at the workshop, Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan said that economic growth was important for the growth of the Nation and the State. The results of the development and its benefits should reach everyone.
He said that Dindigul was mainly an agriculture based district and there were a variety of crops. There were also more than 10,000 micro, small and big industries and lakhs of people were involved in these business ventures.
After agriculture, industries played a major role in the development of the district. In order to encourage entrepreneurs and those aspiring to start their business ventures the workshop was being conducted to create an awareness on the Single Window Portal facility which was a one portal for all clearances, he said.
He urged the participants to make use of the online portal www.tnswp.com for clearance and approvals. The participants were given awareness about the process on how to apply, documents to be submitted, obtain licence and permission for their venture and also for the grievance redressal.
A presentation was made on the Tamil Nadu Single Window Portal to the participants and it was followed by a presentation on BIZ Buddy System, guidance support and the MSMEs schemes. A question and answer session was held and experts clarified the doubts of the participants regarding the process.

Collector pushes for investor-friendly environment to boost industries
Anantapur: District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar directed officials to create a conducive and investor-friendly environment to attract and promote industrial development in the district. Chairing the District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) meeting at the Collectorate on Friday, the Collector instructed departments to provide swift approvals for setting up industries. He emphasized the need for single-desk portal facilitation to provide all necessary permissions quickly and support entrepreneurs. The meeting approved a subsidy of Rs. 62.86 lakh for 21 units under the Industrial Development Policy. Officials were also instructed to process pending applications promptly through the Single Window Portal. The Collector called for expediting loans under the PMEGP and Stand-Up India schemes, ensuring no delays. Under the Vishwakarma scheme, eligible applicants should be identified and provided with training and financial support. He also encouraged SHGs and farmers to explore opportunities in banana fiber products such as bags and hats and raise awareness of loan schemes related to this. Additionally, 13 services related to the Industries Department have been integrated into the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service via APIIC, and public awareness initiatives on this are to be undertaken. The Collector extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh for facilitating the establishment of renewable integrated complexes and Harit Amrit industries in the district.

₹264 crore distributed to entrepreneurs in loans over four years: Salem collector
A total of ₹264.48 crore has been distributed in loans among 1,928 entrepreneurs in Salem district over the last four years, District Collector R. Brindha Devi said. The Collector was participating in a Single Window Portal facilitation workshop for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and large industries in Salem and Dharmapuri districts held at a hotel in Mamangam on Tuesday. Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Brindha Devi said that Chief Minister M. K. Stalin streamlined the process of obtaining permission from various government departments into a single window system to support upcoming businesses and entrepreneurs by enabling ease and transparency. The single window portal allows businesses to easily secure necessary approvals, including no objection certificates, department-related approvals, renewals, and business licenses. Applicants can submit requests for 217 different approvals from various departments through this single window website: Registered applications will be reviewed within a specified timeframe under the Tamil Nadu Business Facilitation Act and Rules of 2018, and the appropriate approvals will be granted, the collector noted. Also, a single window committee for MSMEs at the district level has been set up to monitor and expedite pending applications. In the past four years, the District Industries Centre (DIC) has provided loans totalling ₹264.48 crore, along with a subsidy of ₹77.34 crore to 1,928 entrepreneurs in Salem district, the Collector stated. A demonstration of the single window system was held later, and clarification was provided on questions related to the system. In the workshop, Salem DIC general manager D. Sivakumar, officials from Guidance Tamil Nadu, Charles Rajkumar, Jothi Narayanan, Dinesh Pandyen, and Vikranth Sakthi, officials from concerned departments, and representatives from MSMEs and large industries participated.
