Cage The Elephant isn't just opening for Oasis this year.
For the second consecutive year, the alt-rockers are headlining a nationwide solo tour.
This time around, they'll be supported by special guests Hey, Nothing on all dates as well as Girl Tones, Vlad Holiday, Bec Lauder and The Noise and Common People joining them on select dates at arenas, art centers, theaters and music halls all October long.

While out and about, the 'Shake Me Down' band have three New York and New Jersey gigs mapped out.
First, Matthew Shultz and co. hit Atlantic City's Ocean Casino Resort on Friday, Oct. 24. Shortly after, they'll swing into Port Chester, NY's Capitol Theatre for a pair of back-to-back gigs on Tuesday, Oct. 28 and Wednesday, Oct. 29.
And, yes, they'll also play alongside the Gallagher brothers at Oasis' mammoth concert at East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 31.
But wait! There's more!

On top of a nationwide tour and run with Oasis, Cage The Elephant also has a whopping six (!) music festival appearances lined up these next few months.
All shows will likely be a continuation of the jangly hitmakers' massive summer 2024 tour promoting their sixth studio album 'Neon Pill,' which was written as a response to Shultz's father's death.
'With this album, having gone through so much, life had almost forced us into becoming more and more comfortable with ourselves,' Shultz said in a statement.
'We weren't reaching for much outside of the pure experience of self expression, and simultaneously not necessarily settling either. We just found a uniqueness in simply existing.'

Cage The Elephant new music
On May 17, 2024, Cage The Elephant unveiled their sixth studio album 'Neon Pill.'

The mature record spans 12 sun-drenched tracks that feature Shultz's signature wail over tight arrangements. It's an essential entry into their ever-growing, always exceptional catalog.
Just a few of our favorites include the triumphant album opener 'HiFi (True Light),' laid-back Beck-esque 'Rainbow' and brooding, atmospheric title track 'Neon Pill.'
And those are just the first three songs!
Be sure to also give the gloriously Strokes-y 'Metaverse,' muted piano ballad 'Out Loud' and slinky, synthy delight 'Ball and Chain' a chance, too.

As expected, the theatrical stop and start 'Good Time' is a good time as well. There's no duds on this record, just all muscly, introspective gems that deserve more love.
To give it a try, check out 'Neon Pill' in its sometimes bombastic, sometimes blissed out entirety here.
Hey, Nothing
While on their solo run, CTE will be joined by happy-go-lucky garage rockers Hey, Nothing at all shows.
In the event you haven't spun their stuff, we recommend checking out their biggest hits. Start with the surprisingly silly 'i haunt ur dreams,' then hop over to the plaintive 'Maine' and folksy singalong 'Brother.'

Doja Cat defends rap skills after Outside Lands debut: ‘I'm incredible'

Doja Cat clapped back against online criticism about her Outside Lands performance over the weekend, defending her rap skills and declaring that she is 'incredible.' The Grammy-winning artist, who headlined the San Francisco music festival on Friday, Aug. 8, engaged in a back-and-forth with X user @playeration after they called out her musical style on the platform. "Hopefully after Doja drops pop disco album of the century her fans can stop trying to force her into female rap conversations," the X user initially posted on Saturday, Aug. 9, referring to Doja Cat's forthcoming fifth studio album, "Vie." The genre-bending singer and rapper teased the project, performing her new single 'Jealous Type' during her Outside Lands headlining set Friday. She also hosted a surprise listening party at the soon-to-close queer nightclub Oasis immediately after her Golden Gate Park set. She had previously told V Magazine that 'Vie' is 'pop-driven.' The @playeration continued by adding that Doja Cat 'can't be taken seriously as a rapper without ever prioritizing bars, punchlines, wordplay, and storytelling.' That's when the artist chimed in. "You don't listen to or read enough of my writing to be able to make this claim. I'm alright at what I do and sometimes I'm incredible," she responded on Sunday, Aug. 10. "Please stop trying to downplay my ability it feels like you're doling out criticism with no constructiveness based on something that's deeper than just the topic of music." When the @playeration replied to Doja Cat, noting that the criticism is 'not personal,' the two engaged in a brief conversation in the thread. The X user explained that they have listened to the 'Paint the Town Red' artist's full catalogue, but doesn't rate her as highly as rappers like Rakim, Jay-Z and Jeezy. 'That's not hate, it's just a difference in what I look for in rap,' @playeration wrote. Doja Cat replied that she respects their perspective. 'If you haven't been able to find a bar that you can connect with, that's more than okay,' she wrote. 'That's your right.' The conversation came two days after Doja Cat's Outside Lands debut, during which she showed off her new '80s-esque aesthetic and new track. Though she didn't draw as large of a crowd as fellow Grammy-winning rapper Doechii, who performed on the Lands End stage just a few hours before her, Doja Cat got thousands of her fans moving with hits such as 'Woman,' 'Agora Hils' and 'Boss Bitch.' Her subsequent appearance at Oasis came at a trying time for the beloved South of Market drag hot spot, which plans to close at the end of the year due to ongoing financial challenges. 'Her people approached us. She wanted to drop her three new songs in a queer venue,' Oasis owner D'Arcy Drollinger, who also serves as San Francisco's drag laureate, told the Chronicle about how the event came to fruition. 'It was such a joyous feeling in the room' During her post-festival show, Doja Cat previewed portions of 'Vie,' which has no release date yet, and chatted casually with fans from the stage of the 531-capacity venue. 'She was so gracious. Not a single diva moment,' Drollinger said. 'So kind and easy and effortless.'

Reformation's Summer Sale Includes Tons of Celeb-Loved Finds

With the help of stylists and off-the-runway designer pieces, I tend to consider celebrity fashion more aspirational than inspirational. But, when I see one of my fave stars sporting a style that doesn't cost an entire paycheck, there's a good chance it's from Reformation. The eco-conscious brand is a favorite among celebs like Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo—and thanks to Reformation's annual Summer Sale, you can save up to 30% off off pop star-approved pieces. That is, if they don't sell out first! I did some browsing and spotted sooo many deals on celeb-loved styles, including Taylor's leather loafers, Olivia's cashmere sweater and an off-the-shoulder dress worn by both singers (the drama!). In previous years, I've seen Ref discounts drop as low as 70% off—although at that point, most of the good stuff is sold out. If you're willing to gamble, it *might* be worth holding out for a steeper sale. But if you want to secure your favorite pieces before they're gone, I'd recommend shopping ASAP.
