Sekhukhune United sets ambitious goals with R30m land acquisition in Midrand
'The land has existing structures,' said the club's chairperson, Simon Malatji, 'which are quite huge and are undergoing renovations. We are utilising [those structures] to reduce costs and renovate the building, but the estimate suggests, for us to be competitive, like Chiefs, is going to be around R30m.'
This announcement was made by Malatji during a strategic partnership unveiling with Kelme Sports on July 14 at the Southern Sun Rosebank.

As part of its ambitious vision for the upcoming 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, the club revealed two major developments, the first being the training facility and the second being a partnership with Kelme.
Last season, Babina Noko showcased gear from Kelme, and the partnership announcement confirmed a three-year sponsorship deal with the leading sports apparel brand.
This agreement, presented by Malatji in the presence of a Chinese delegation, including Kelme's chairperson Ke Yongxiang, officially designates Kelme as the club's partner for the next three seasons.

Pirates coach unhappy with second half display against Stellies
"I think we have to improve in that if we want to go higher," said Ouaddou. Despite securing their first victory of the season, Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou was not pleased with his team's performance in the second half in the match against Stellenbosch FC. A first half stunner by Kamogelo Sebelebele was enough to hand the Buccaneers a 1-0 win over Stellies in a Betway Premiership clash at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night. READ MORE: Sebelebele scorcher earns Pirates first league win of the season It was Pirates' first victory in the league having suffered losses against Sekhukhune United and Marumo Gallants in their opening two league games. 'Of course, I'm delighted. I'm delighted for the fans because I have a thought for them because they were waiting for these three points for two-three weeks now so I have thought first of all for them,' Ouaddou told SuperSport TV. 'I would like to congratulate my boys because they have got the character as well. We had a very interesting first half, we created top chances, we could have killed the game earlier.' 'We lost control of the game' Despite the win, Ouaddou was not happy that his Pirates team lost control of the game in the second half and almost allowed Stellies back to it. 'In the second half, I think we lost the control and I think we have to improve in that if we want to go higher. We cannot accept to lose control of a game that we controlled since the beginning,' added the Moroccan. 'Look, because I'm looking for positional game, I'm looking for space between the lines, but modern football has to balance the opponent. 'Sometimes you need to identify the free space and they did it well. We have to diversify our style of play not only that, but it was interesting today.' Kaizer Chiefs introduce new jersey No.11!
Kaizer Chiefs have announced that the jersey No.11 will be donned by new signing Luke Baartman this season. Over the past two seasons, this jersey number was used by Tebogo Potsane after he was signed from Royal AM. However, it became vacant when Chiefs and Potsane went separate ways at the end of last term. Now, having officially been unveiled and presented in front of Amakhosi fans on Tuesday, Baartman has finally gotten his hands on the jersey No.11. This jersey number has significant history, especially to those who loved and supported Chiefs from way back. The likes of Teenage Dladla, Shakes Kungoane, Jabu 'Pule' Mahlangu, Scara Ngobese and Abia Nale gave the jersey No.11 at Chiefs some dignity. Baartman is the latest to be handed a jersey number by Chiefs after Etiosa Ighodaro (50) and Asanele Velebayi (17). Kaizer Chiefs star fulfils his father's dream
Siphesihle Ndlovu is not just scoring winning goals for Kaizer Chiefs, he's living out a family dream. Fresh from netting the winner against Polokwane City to keep Amakhosi's 100% Betway Premiership start alive, the midfielder revealed that pulling on the famous jersey is as much about his father as it is about him. The 28-year-old admitted his journey to Kaizer Chiefs wasn't straightforward. A chance to join Amakhosi slipped away earlier in his career, but instead of sulking, he doubled down on his work. Was that Mofokeng's last match for Orlando Pirates? 'It was my father's dream for me to play for the club he has always supported and since the age of about 17 or 18, I have wanted to fulfil that ambition,' Ndlovu told the club's media. 'Right now, he is very happy and so excited, which means the world to me. Orlando Pirates fans find new favourite player 'A while back I missed out on a chance to come here, so I said to myself I will still work hard to hopefully get the opportunity again, so when it did come, I was thrilled to finally sign for Amakhosi,' added the Petermaritzburg-born star.
