WWE NXT Results, 4th Aug 2025: Sol Ruca Defends Crown Againts Paxley, Hank And Tank Retain Tag Team Title
The latest episode witnessed the defence of the Tag Team Championship by Hank and Tank, while Sol Ruca also retained her North American Championship against Tatum Paxley.
The latest instalment of the WWE NXT which was held at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, offered up a couple of title defences as the Tag Team Champions and the Women's North American champion held on to their respective titles in thrilling encounters, while Nia Jax was at the centre of the show in more ways than one.
Kelani Jordan vs. Blake Monroe
The night opened with the bout between Jordan and Monroe in what was a fascinating affair up until the moment it ended in favour of Jordan, who won by count-out as Monroe overstayed her time outside the ring before bolting away out of vicinity even while Jordynne Grace looked to assault her.
Tag Team Championships: Hank and Tank vs. Chase U
Hank and Tank, the NXT Tag Team Title holders were made to work by Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon, but a strong and quick bout ended with the defending champions retaining their crown by pinfall as the duo hit their signature on Dixon to finish the challenge.
Another match between women was staged as the bout between Jax and Hail was billed as a David vs Goliath encounter. The only difference being that the underdog did not end up on top, as Jax took the win by pinfall without breaking a sweat.
Myles Borne vs. Lexis King
A typical NXT fixture with all the makings of a topsy-turvy affair ended in favour of Bourne, who hit his finisher just in time to close out the proceedings.
North American Championship: Sol Ruca vs. Tatum Paxley
Ruca put her Championship title on the line and came out on top against Paxley as the brawl between Jax and Legend served as an opportunity for the holder to capitalise, and she did just that to hold on to her crown.

Anu Malik's Brother Daboo Malik REACTS To His MeToo Allegations: 'We Couldn't Handle The Pain'
Daboo Malik opens up about brother Anu Malik's MeToo allegations, recalling the family's emotional struggle and the challenges they faced during the controversy. Anu Malik faced serious sexual harassment accusations during the MeToo movement, made by singers Sona Mohapatra, Neha Bhasin, Alisha Chinai and others. Now, his younger brother, music composer Daboo Malik, has opened up about how the family coped with the controversy. Speaking to journalist Vickey Lalwani, Daboo recalled the difficult period. 'It shattered us as a family. He was also taken aback. We couldn't handle the pain he went through at the time with so many people targeting him. We supported him emotionally. We saw to it that he got back in terms of work and meetings. As a family, I couldn't pass any judgement. One should not. He saw a very difficult time. I have supported him on an individual level because when you see someone going through so much, it was quite a setback for him." 'Our Parents Couldn't Understand What Was Happening' Daboo revealed that their elderly parents struggled to process the situation. 'They couldn't understand what was happening. They were in their '80s." When asked if it became difficult for him and younger brother Abu Malik to face people, Daboo said, 'We give it too much importance. I don't think we are stars. He is not a Shah Rukh Khan or a superstar. We are musicians. Unnecessarily, we keep talking about someone on social media and end up giving them a position. I don't think we are that important to even have this conversation." Anu Malik's MeToo Case In October 2018, during India's MeToo movement, multiple women accused Anu Malik of sexual harassment. Singer Shweta Pandit claimed Malik made an unwanted pass at her when she was 15. Lyricist Sameer supported Malik, denying the incident. Sona Mohapatra and Neha Bhasin also accused him of predatory behaviour, while Hema Sardesai defended him. Malik denied all allegations, but public backlash forced him to leave Indian Idol Season 10 as a judge. Alisha Chinai, who had previously sued Malik for molestation in the 1990s, supported the fresh allegations. In 2019, Malik briefly returned as a judge on Season 11 but stepped down again, citing inability to focus on work. On January 17, 2020, the National Commission for Women closed the case due to lack of substantial evidence, though it stated it could be reopened if new evidence emerged. Last Updated: James Gunn confirms Superman's digital release on August 15 after the film smashes US box office records, becoming the highest-grossing Superman movie. James Gunn has officially announced the digital release date for Superman (2025), just as Warner Bros. confirmed the film's record-breaking performance at the US box office. The DC reboot, directed by Gunn, has become the highest-grossing Superman film ever in the United States, grossing over $331 million domestically and $581.1 million worldwide, according to IMDb. The movie has now completed a month in theaters and is still drawing audiences, but fans will soon be able to watch it from the comfort of their homes. Superman Digital Release Date and Platforms Taking to social media platform X, Gunn wrote: '#Superman is coming to your homes this Friday, 8/15. Available now for pre-order. Or catch it while it's still in theaters!" According to The Wrap, starting August 15, Superman (2025) will be available on streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. Fans who prefer a physical copy can mark their calendars for September 23, when the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions will hit stores. Despite its massive success in the US, Gunn admitted that the film underperformed internationally, attributing it to Superman's relatively lower global popularity compared to Batman and 'a certain amount of anti-American sentiment around the world." Box Office Triumph and What's Next Warner Bros. confirmed to IGN that Superman has overtaken all previous entries in the franchise to claim the top spot in US box office history for the character. The film also holds the title for the highest-grossing superhero release of the year domestically. Gunn's reboot focuses on a fresh interpretation of the Man of Steel, aiming to reinvigorate the DC Universe's cinematic future. With Superman's strong domestic reception and upcoming home release, fans who missed it in theaters will soon get their chance to experience the new chapter. Whether streaming on August 15 or waiting for the Blu-ray on September 23, Gunn's Superman is set to reach an even wider audience in the weeks ahead. Shai Hope Becomes 1st West Indies Captain In 34 Years To...
Last Updated: Shai Hope scored 120 runs from 94 balls for West Indies in the third and final ODI of the three-match series played at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba on August 12. Shai Hope scored 120 runs from 94 balls for the West Indies on Tuesday (August 12) to help them secure a big win by 202 runs over Pakistan. In the third and final ODI of the three-match series played at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Hope's 18th ODI century helped West Indies post a total of 294/6 in 50 overs, and the target of 295 runs proved too much for the visitors, and they got all out for just 92 runs in 29.2 overs. The win in the third ODI helped West Indies seal the home series with a scoreline of 2-1. The last time the West Indies won a bilateral ODI series against the Pakistani team was way back in November 1991. Under Richie Richardson's leadership, West Indies won the first and third ODIs against the Imran Khan-led side in Pakistan, whereas the second 50-over match in Lahore on November 22, 1991, ended in a tie. For his super show with the bat in the series decider, Hope won the Player of the Match award. The wicketkeeper-batter hammered 10 fours and five sixes during his stay at the crease on Tuesday. 23-year-old fast bowler entered his name in the history books on Tuesday (August 12) by becoming the first West Indies bowler to take six wickets in an ODI match against the Pakistani team. The Trinidad & Tobago-born cricketer led the West Indies bowling attack in the third and final ODI of the three-match series against Pakistan at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba on Tuesday and picked up 6 wickets for 18 runs in 7.2 overs. Before Seales, the record of best bowling figures by a West Indies bowler in ODIs against Pakistan was in the name of Franklyn Rose. Rose picked up 5 wickets for 23 runs in 10 overs against Pakistan during the ODI match played in Kingstown on April 12, 2000. Seales's figures of 6 for 18 in 7.2 overs are the third best by a West Indies bowler in ODIs. He is only behind Winston Davis, who picked up 7 wickets for 51 runs in 10.3 overs against Australia in 1983, and Colin Croft, who finished with figures of 6 for 15 in nine overs against England in Kingstown on February 4, 1981. Seales' 6/18 also helped him break Dale Steyn's record of best bowling figures in ODIs against Pakistan. view comments First Published: August 13, 2025, 03:38 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
