Rylan Clark's ongoing heartbreak after divorce as he battles 'sharp pain'

Daily Record21 hours ago
Rylan Clark has opened up about his divorce from ex Dan Neal and his struggles years after separation.
Getting over a relationship can be extremely difficult, it's a mountain range of emotions on a stormy sea as both parties deal with their emotions and attempt to heal following the split. Whether or not marriage was involved, the end of a relationship often leaves both individuals wrestling with grief, confusion and the task of healing.

This was one topic former X Factor contestant Rylan Clark explored with his guest Vanessa Williams on his podcast 'Rylan: How to Be In Love', during which they shared their personal romantic experiences.

Rylan was married to Dan Neal for six years, from 2015 to 2021. Whilst The Devil Wears Prada musical star Vanessa has been married three times, the Express reports.

Her marriages include Ramon Hervey II, followed by Rick Fox, and most recently Jim Skrip. Interestingly both Rylan and Vanessa shared a similar timeline in one of their marriages, with Vanessa marrying Jim in 2015 and divorcing in 2021, the same years as Rylan's marriage.
Reflecting on the experience, Rylan admitted he wouldn't want to go through a divorce again, describing the emotional toll as deeply painful.

"I've had to do it once, and once was enough for me," he confessed. "You still get that weird sharp pain every now and again."
The 36 year old continued: "It'll be something so stupid like, 'Oh that glass looks like...' and it's, like, that little. I couldn't imagine going through that twice. I don't know how I'd fare."

Rylan has previously opened up about his marriage to Dan, with the BBC Radio 2 presenter sharing the emotional toll of his marriage ending.
Rylan met Dan whilst on set for Big Brother's Bit on the Side, when Dan was giving his eviction interview in 2013. The pair hit it off instantly, with Rylan previously revealing to the Guardian in 2019, that he knew Dan was the one from their first kiss.
He said: "The first one I had with my husband Dan in late 2013. I just knew."

Their marriage came to an end in 2021, with Rylan admitting his infidelity was the reason for their split. He revealed in his 2022 memoir that he had been unfaithful years before and decided to confess in May 2021, not expecting that Dan would leave him.
On the same podcast with Vanessa, Rylan delved deeper revealing how the breakdown of his marriage affected his romantic life in unexpected ways.

He admitted: "I have found that, since the breakdown of my marriage, if I've gone on any dates or started seeing people, when I've had sex with them, I lose interest pretty quickly."
"I actually got pretty worried about a year or two ago, because I thought, hang on a minute, I don't remember this from BM, I call it, before marriage."
"I don't remember having sex with someone, or orgasming with someone, climaxing, and then after that thinking, 'Oh, I'm just not bothered now'."

Celebrity SAS star Rebecca Loos' affair with David Beckham explained

Rebecca Loos is set to appear on Celebrity SAS but her rise to fame came on the back of her alleged affair with David Beckham so here we take a look at the affair scandal in detail Back in 2004, Rebecca Loos was the most sought after person in the UK after she revealed that she'd had an alleged affair with none other than David Beckham. At the time, both David and Victoria Beckham denied her allegations but the former personal assistant stood her ground and exposed their alleged four-month affair to the press, for the entire world to read. ‌ Now, the 48 year old mum of two is set to appear on Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins and yet again her alleged affair with the former England footballer has become a subject of discussion once again. ‌ Rebecca will join Louie Spence, X Factor star Lucy Spraggan and Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa for the military inspired reality TV show. ‌ It comes after Cat Deeley found moving back to the UK 'really hard' before split from Patrick Kielty. At the time, Rebecca told Sky that David was an "amazing lover" and "they couldn't keep their hands off each other." She explained: "We were just locked into each other all night, conversation-wise, other people noticed… we just connected. I think the chemistry between David and me was so strong… people were aware and they weren't very happy." ‌ She added: "He knows how to please. He's not afraid of a woman's body. He seems to know what he's doing" Rebecca faced backlash for selling her story but in 2021 the reality TV star reflected on why she made that decision that caused a huge media storm. ‌ She explained to Closer: "I just felt the need to be truthful. Whether you've done something that's right or wrong, it was kind of just eating me up. I was living a lie and keeping secrets." She continued: "Max Clifford [former celebrity agent] said to me he'd negotiate an exclusive with the newspaper and that if I was willing to tell absolutely all the juicy details, then I would get up to five or six hundred thousand pounds. Ridiculous money." ‌ According to reports she told the Daily Mail: "People said I was mad. Who was this guy? I hardly knew him, what on earth was I doing? But look at everything I have now, I am so happy. I have no regrets, I am so happy with my life now." ‌ She reportedly said: "But many people are so afraid of change. Change is good, change is how you learn, people should just f**king go for it. I like the way my life has taken me. If I hadn't been famous, I would not have been invited on the TV show where I met my husband, Sven and had my lovely boys. I would not have had the life I have now." Rebecca met her husband Sven Christjar Skaiaa, who is a medic, during filming 71 Degrees North. The couple married in 2012 and share two children together. The family now live in Norway and she works as a youga teacher while not on TV. In a statement released at the time, David said: "During the past few months, I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts." Victoria had remained silent in 2004 but three years later she admitted: "I'm not going to lie. It was a really tough time. No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road. But the fact is we've come out of everything we've been through stronger and happier."

Strictly's Stacey Dooley warns daughter 'they'll take me off you' after ordeal with Kevin

Strictly's Stacey Dooley warns daughter 'they'll take me off you' after ordeal with Kevin Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton got into a relationship after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, and now, the couple share their young daughter Minnie, who caused a 'drama' for her parents this weekend Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley (Image: Helen Murray) Stacey Dooley had to issue a warning to her daughter Minnie on Saturday morning, after the two-year-old went through "a couple of meltdowns" before heading into London with her parents to promote their roles in 2:22 - A Ghost Story. ‌ Stacey and her partner Kevin Clifton, who met and fell in love after lifting Strictly Come Dancing's Glitterball Trophy together in 2018, were due to appear on Zoe Ball's BBC Radio 2 show in the afternoon to discuss their UK-wide tour of the West End hit. ‌ However, the day didn't get off to the best start, with Zoe explaining to listeners that her guests had been through "a dramatic morning", leading to "lots of people running around" behind-the-scenes trying to rectify the situation before they went on air. ‌ Welcoming the couple onto her show, Zoe shared: "I am thrilled to say that they've just about made it. But it's been a dramatic morning for our guests today, an awful lot has happened, but they're here now, it's Dooley and Clifton!" The poster for 2.22: A Ghost Story UK tour, starring the couple (Image: DAILY EXPRESS) Following their introduction, Stacey candidly opened up about the ordeal the trio had been through to make it onto Radio 2. The documentary filmmaker admitted: "I've just been painfully predictable this morning." ‌ The problems started when Minnie refused to have a shower, with Stacey confessing she had to issue her daughter with a warning, as her face was covered in food. She recalled: "We've had a couple of meltdowns at about 8 o'clock this morning, which was really fun, and then we didn't want to shower, 'I don't want a morning shower', and I said, 'you've got ravioli around your face baby, they'll take me off you!'" The drama didn't stop there, as when Stacey, Kevin, and Minnie arrived at Broadcasting House, the BBC presenter "got stuck" while trying to make her way up to Zoe's radio studio. ‌ Kevin Clifton pictured with his and Stacey's daughter, Minnie Stacey continued: "And then I got stuck in the stair lift, and your amazing producer came to save me," to which Zoe responded by telling Kevin: "There was lots of people running around past the glass Kev, and I was like, 'what's going down'?" Sharing his version of events, professional dancer Kevin said: "They were all looking for Stacey's phone, because she lost her phone downstairs, and, as we know, Stace will not get in a lift and we're, like, on the top floor of the building here. ‌ "So they had to find some secret passage to get Stacey up the stairs, it's been a real journey to get here." Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley first met on Strictly in 2018 (Image: BBC) Stacey cheekily interjected by joking: "I'm no hassle! I'm no hassle," with Zoe quipping: "You knew this when you got involved Kev, you knew what you were getting involved in..." Article continues below Kevin laughed and replied: "Yeah, I've got these two manic redheads who are making my life really dramatic!" 2:22 - A Ghost Story will mark the first time Stacey and Kevin have worked together since their Strictly stint, taking on the roles of Jenny and Sam in the supernatural thriller. Former Strictly pro Kevin originally shared the news via an Instagram photo of the couple, which he posted alongside the caption: "Day 1 back working with this little fella again. Last time was 7 years ago @sjdooley @222aghoststory."
