Jennifer Love Hewitt shows off her new red hair at ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer' premiere
The actress, 46, took to the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of 'I Know What You Did Last Summer,' showing off her new ginger hair.
Hewitt, who is a natural brunette, first debuted the fresh shade in May; however, this appears to be the first time she's worn it on the red carpet and at a public event, in general.
The star wore a form-fitting black beaded Rachel Gilbert midi dress and coordinating rhinestone-covered heels.
She forwent a necklace, opting instead for multiple rings and a stack of silver and gold bracelets on her left wrist.
'I have wanted to be red for so long!' she captioned an Instagram photo showing off her dyed hair. '@nikkilee901 crushed this color! She named my color Sunset Lover
Thank you'
'This is a yes for me.
,' fellow actress Alyssa Milano commented.
Meanwhile, her 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' co-star Tommy DiDario joked, 'Ravishing in red!
Should I go red to match???'
Hewitt and actor Freddie Prinze Jr. are reprising their roles from the 1997 slasher film of the same name and its 1998 sequel, 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.'
'I was hesitant at first,' Jennifer confessed to The Hollywood Reporter about returning for the franchise's newest movie, which comes 28 years after the original. 'If I was coming back as Julie, I just wanted to make sure that we were bringing back the best and right version of her,' she added, referring to her character.
'I wanted to make sure that she fit into the movie in the right way and that there was a reason for her to come back besides just the '90s nostalgia moment.'
At the premiere in 1997, Hewitt, then 18, wore a strapless navy embroidered dress paired with black platforms.
She pulled her brown hair up in an adorable curled ponytail.
The new cast for 'I Know What You Did Last Summer,' which will be released July 18, includes Madeline Cline, Gabbriette Bechtel, Chase Sui Wonders, Austin Nichols, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers and Billy Campbell.

KET revives Fancy Farm coverage, thanks to donation
Kentucky Educational Television has revived its plans to cover the annual Fancy Farm political rally on Aug. 2 in Western Kentucky. Shae Hopkins, executive director and CEO of KET, said in a press release a donation from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will make the coverage possible. 'We're grateful to the Kentucky Chamber, a longtime corporate partner and supporter of KET, for helping us to continue this decades-long tradition of bringing viewers across the state coverage of this iconic event,' Hopkins said. The release did not disclose the specific donation amount. Earlier this summer, Fancy Farm organizers announced Kentucky Chamber President and CEO Ashli Watts would emcee the event. KET previously said it planned to eliminate its coverage of Fancy Farm because of federal funding cuts. A rescission bill that stripped $9 billion in federal funding for public broadcasting, global health initiatives and foreign aid programs was given final passage July 17. Fancy Farm is a political picnic and rally held each summer in Graves County, where candidates and elected officials take jabs at their opponents before an often rowdy audience. The bipartisan event has become more Republican-heavy in recent years as Democrats have lost significant ground in the state. This year, picnic-goers can expect to hear from all three high-profile Republicans running to replace outgoing U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell: U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, former Attorney General Daniel Cameron and businessman Nate Morris. On the Democratic side, Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and state Rep. Pamela Stevenson, who is also running to replace McConnell, have declined to speak. The only confirmed Democratic speaker so far is John "Drew" Williams, who is challenging U.S. Rep. James Comer in Kentucky's 1st Congressional District race. KET will livestream coverage beginning at 2:30/1:30 pm CT Aug. 2 with host Renee Shaw and analysts Bob Babbage and Trey Grayson. The station will air highlights from the event at 8/7 p.m. Aug. 3. Reach reporter Hannah Pinski at hpinski@ or follow her on X, formerly known as Twitter, at @hannahpinski. Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on Matlock, Strange New Worlds, Twisted Metal, King of the Hill, Countdown and More!
Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on Strange New Worlds, Matlock, King of the Hill, Ghosts and More! Read on for answers to those questions and others! (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to .) I'm a huge fan of and I love the character played by Yael Grobglas. Is she going to be in second season (premiering Oct. 12)? –JohnThe Meerkat aka jury consultant/'human lie detector' Shae Banfield 'will definitely be back this season,' Matlock showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman tells Inside Line, 'but the way in which she enters the story will be very surprising….' More from TVLine Tracker Twist: 2 Series Regulars Out Ahead of Season 3 (Exclusive) Star Trek: Strange New Worlds EPs Tease Spock and Chapel's Future - Does He Have a New Love Interest? Star Trek: Strange New Worlds EP Breaks Down Pike's Emotional Struggle in Premiere: 'It's an Opportunity for Him to Dig Deeper' Anything on Season 2 of ? –LindseyThe new season (premiering July 31 on Peacock) opens with an ultimately unsettling flashback to 1998, that lays out a backstory for the real Raven, who is played with a vicious zeal by She-Hulk scene stealer Patty Guggenheim. (Turns out Neve Campbell's Season 1 character is but one of many 'Raven' minions under the OG's leadership.) Also, if you're a fan of the Baby-Sitters Club novels, you're in for quite a treat. Does CNN have any plans to air the last two episodes of ('Marbella' and 'Spain's Big Bang')? –KerriThose two episodes, preempted for breaking news, now will air Sunday, Aug. 31 at 9 and 10 pm ET. Will we be seeing Kirk during this season of ? Also, will we find out if La'an really has no feelings for him anymore? — BarbieI can tell you that when Paul Wesley makes his Season 3 debut in Episode 4 (airing July 31), he's not exactly playing James T. Kirk. Instead, he's in an alternate reality as a frustrated actor on a 1960s sci-fi TV show… who bears a striking resemblance to a certain Star Trek icon. (Wesley will actually appear as Kirk in three more episodes later this season.) As for La'an, she may have had a crush on Kirk last season, but based on Episode 2's steamy dance lesson, it seems her interests may have turned to Spock — and we'll see those interests develop more in the weeks to come. Are the contestants on required to take the regular test to be on the show, or are they cast for their popularity? –RobertOoh, fun question! I am told that Roy Wood Jr., Natalie Morales (no, the other one), D'Arcy Carden et al do not take a test to appear on the show, but 'just have to be confident enough to play.' Any spoilers for ? –JackieEvan's sister Molly (played by Satisfaction's Michelle DeShon) begins to enter the picture next week, and if thrillers like 24 have taught us anything, it's that unexpected and unpredictable family members can make a mess of things. 'All hell breaks loose!' Violett Beane, who plays Evan, quipped during our pre-season chat, before adding a bit more seriously: 'Molly is a wild card, for sure.' Looking at , I got wondering about . The CW aired the first two seasons but I know there is a third season that aired in Canada a while ago. –DanThere are no plans for The CW to be serving any more Moonshine. Do you have any news about from Warner Bros. TV? You had a story on it back in November 2024. –DWThere have been no announcements — not even an official series order — from HBO about the half-hour comedy from Hacks masterminds Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs and Jen Statsky, and starring three-time Emmy nominee Cuoco. That said, one well-placed source tells me Kansas City Star is '100% happening' and that cameras could mayyyybe start rolling as soon as next spring. Are there any updates about , or getting picked up by another network or streamer after they got cancelled? –ZuhraAs a rule, low-rated, little-watched network sitcoms seldom get 'saved.' Do you know if Chuck Mangione will be making any appearances on the revival, as he did on a semi-regular basis on the old show? –Samma'He's not in Season 14,' a source tells me, 'but we'll see what the future brings.' In Disney+'s , the girls are answering questions for their fans when they're a world-famous band, and then the show flashes back to their freshman year. How old are they in present day when they get these questions? –IvanTo be clear, the 'present day' in the series is while they are all freshmen in high school, and the clips of their super stardom take place in the future. A show rep tells me there is 'no specific age to be revealed' for the super stardom timeline, 'But who knows?! We may have secrets to share in future episodes!' What are the chances one of the streaming outlets will pick up and wrap up the story? I watched this faithfully for four seasons only to have it cancelled with a whole lot of cliffhangers. –PhillyDivaThe chances are, alas, zero. I am assured that The Cleaning Lady's run has come to an end, and no new home is being sought. I know was already renewed for two more seasons in Canada, but is there any update on its renewal status at The CW (especially considering it's a co-production)? –SarahI ask and I ask, and… no updates. This free, open-to-the-public community event is set for Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will offer visitors a dynamic lineup of railroad equipment tours and displays, model train exhibits, interactive information booths, live entertainment, giveaways, family-friendly activities and much more – all in celebration of Los Angeles' vibrant rail history and its evolving role in the city's future. "Transportation is about more than getting from point A to point B — it's about the people, places, and stories that compel us to move. At Metro, we're proud to make those connections possible, and there's no better place to see that in action than Los Angeles Union Station," said Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins. "The Los Angeles Union Station Train Festival is a celebration of the journeys we embark on, the history that grounds us, and the communities we build through shared travel. Whether you're a lifelong rail enthusiast or simply curious about how transportation can shape our future, we invite you to join us for a weekend of discovery, excitement, and connection at Union Station." An experiential trip through nearly 100 years of rail history, guests can visit tracks 13, 14, and 15, to tour and view displays of railroad equipment dating back as far as 1927 to present day marvels showcasing technological advances that continue to move the rail industry forward. Featured equipment will include the world-renowned Steam Locomotive, Santa Fe 3751, of the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society (SBRHS) that returns to Los Angeles Union Station where it pulled the first named passenger train into the station over 85 years ago. Additional train equipment displays from Amtrak, Metrolink, and the Pacific Railroad Society will also be on site. "Many kids today grow up reading about steam trains in their history books but will never actually see one in person," said Alex Gillman, President of the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society. "Santa Fe 3751 offers families, young and old alike, the chance to experience what a working, 874,000-pound steam locomotive looks like as they climb into the cab, meet the engineer and learn what it takes to keep this rare icon of American history operating today." In the station's historic Ticket Concourse, guests can immerse themselves in four masterfully constructed and uniquely designed model train displays created by Southern California's premiere model train clubs. From reimagined townscapes to depictions of the most well-known trains and routes, guests of all ages will be wowed by the immense details and care shown in each exhibit. Model train partners include Southern California Z Scale Model Railroading Group, Group 160 NTRAK Club, Southern California S Gaugers Club, and Southern California Traction Club. The recently restored South Patio will host interactive information booths for guests to speak with industry experts about recent and upcoming initiatives from Metrolink, Amtrak and California High-Speed Rail Authority. Metro will give away 5,000 commemorative TAP (Transit Assistance Program) Cards across the weekend. California High-Speed Rail Authority will debut an exciting new virtual reality experience that lets guests explore what the future of transportation could look like – through the eyes of local high school students. Created as part of a student internship project, this immersive experience invites visitors to board a futuristic train mock-up and see imaginative concepts brought to life in VR. Additional docent stands from Metro Art and Los Angeles Conservancy will be positioned throughout the station for guests to learn about the fascinating architecture, art and history of what many have deemed "The Last of the Great Train Stations." This includes, for the first time in many years, the public being welcomed into the historic Fred Harvey space to learn about the famous restaurant chain and 'Harvey Girls' – trailblazing women who brought charm and hospitality to railroad systems in the early 20th century. The original restaurant was designed by Mary Coulter, widely known as the inventor of Southwestern design, whose intricate details can still be seen throughout the space today thanks to the station's dedicated effort to preserve Coulter's original design choices and architectural legacy. For a unique guided experience of this space and other areas of the station, join California Preservation Foundation for one of four Hidden Gems Tours – a guided walking tour held at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day, conducted by the station's director of construction and restoration. The Hidden Gems experience is done in conjunction with the statewide program, Doors Open California with limited space and registration required HERE. An all-ages event, there will be a kid's zone in the Fred Harvey space for junior conductors where they will get their very own conductor hat and also enjoy photo opportunities posing with Travel Town Museum's restored Railway Express Agency delivery truck. To entice attendees to visit all activations, guests can visit and receive stamps at designated event stops to redeem their completed Train Festival Experience Pass for a limited-edition poster and commemorative pin. For more keepsakes, Metro Shop will be selling an assortment of Metro branded clothing and accessories and Merch Motel will be selling limited-edition merchandise inspired by the iconography of Los Angeles Union Station.
