'Sang'gre' tops online trends list after primetime debut
'Sang'gre' just made a hot debut on primetime!
As seen in the post of GMA Network on Facebook, the hashtag Sanggre World Premiere topped the Philippine trending list on X (formerly Twitter) with over 30,000 tweets.
'Number one trending. Avisala eshma, mga Kapuso. Mabuhay ang Encantadia!' the caption read.
'Sang'gre' unleashed its pilot episode on Monday with the four original sang'gres Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), Amihan (Kylie Padilla), Alena (Gabbi Garcia), and Danaya (Sanya Lopez) riding horses towards Lireo and battling against a giant dragon that looked straight from the 'House of Dragon.'
Aside from the OG sang'gres, the pilot episode also introduced a new set of characters such as Mitena (Rhian Ramos) the Ice Queen of the Ice Kingdom of Mine-a-ve and her loyal soldiers Zaur (Gabby Eigenmann), Daron (Jon Lucas), and Ednu (Jamie Wilson).
'Sang'gre' is topbilled by Faith Da Silva, Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda as the new keepers of the gems of fire, water, air, and earth.
It airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."

Barbie Forteza on first solo film 'P77': 'This must be a dream'
Barbie Forteza has been in show business for 15 years, but still has roles she dreams of taking on, including starring in a horror film. Before turning 28 in July, the Kapuso Primetime Princess will see that dream fulfilled with the airing of her upcoming horror film, "P77." On Instagram, Barbie expressed her excitement and pride over "P77," which will be distributed by Warner Bros. Philippines. "[Warner Bros. Philippines officially signed a partnership with GMA Pictures to distribute my first ever solo commercial film in my favorite genre (alternative narrative horror) that will be shown in cinemas just a day before my birthday," she said. Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and GMA Pictures Executive Vice President Nessa Valdellon, Warner Bros. Philippines distribution director Rico Gonzales, Barbie, and "P77" director Derick Cabrido. For Barbie, "P77" is a career milestone. At the same time, she said that it's also a challenge that she has been looking for as an actress. "It's very different, and especially for this film, it's a different kind of horror because it attacks your mind," she told GMA News Online. Lea Salonga performed 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' the national anthem of the United States, at a New York Yankees baseball game.
