Meet The Void: The bad guy in Thunderbolts*
As 'Thunderbolts*' approaches your nearest movie theatre, the official trailers have not yet clarified the doubt as to who 'The Void' is. In the trailer, Lewis Pullman appears as a shadowy figure and is credited as Robert 'Bob' Reynolds / Sentry.

In the trailer, Pullman says 'I'm the Void. There's no use fighting.' Moments later, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) says 'He's invincible, all-powerful, stronger than all of the Avengers rolled into one.' After which The Void goes on to demonstrate everything Fontaine said.
However, in another trailer, Fontaine's assistant, Mel (played by Geraldine Viswanathan), says 'Sentry's gone off the rails and he's dangerous. The Avengers are gone. No one is coming to save the day,' which creates a tad bit of confusion for all of us.
The Void is the dark entity bonded to Robert Reynolds when he became the Sentry by consuming a serum. The Void acts as a counterforce and embodiment of Sentry's negative aspects. The Void isn't a visible parasite like the symbiote in Venom, but it is more like a force that can take any shape it chooses. It is capable of destroying the Earth if not the universe, and Robert fights a constant tug-of-war to keep The Void at bay as it shows up every time he uses his powers for good. The Void is born in his own psyche and his eternal nemesis.
The Void - both as a part of the Sentry and a separate entity - possesses abilities like:
- Matter manipulation – Capable of consciously manipulating inorganic, and sometimes organic, matter at the molecular, sub-molecular, atomic, or sub-atomic scale.
- Regeneration – Can heal at an accelerated rate, possibly even regrowing missing limbs.
- Immortality – Cannot and will not ever truly die. In the comic books, he doesn't die even after being hurled into the sun by Robert and later killed by a bolt of lightning by Thor.
- Superhuman strength – Its physical abilities are a direct mirror reflection of its counterpart, though it's reputed that The Sentry is visibly stronger.
- Biological Manipulation – Like Sentry, it has an untapped capacity to affect organic matter in undisclosed but seemingly unlimited ways. The Void uses such attributes to malignant ends, while Sentry acclimates more beneficial ones.

Justin Baldoni's Side Says Blake Lively Can't Prove What 'Never Happened' After Losing USD 400 Million Defamation Case
Justin Baldoni's lawyer has fired back at Blake Lively after the judge overseeing the case tossed the filmmaker's USD 400 million lawsuit out. The lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who is representing Baldoni in his case against the actress, shared with TMZ, that they are just getting started. Moreover, he revealed that the judge has asked both parties to come in to amend the director's four out of seven accusations against the mother of four. On Monday, the judge dismissed Baldoni's lawsuit against Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and The New York Times. Moreover, Marvel was also dropped from the filmmaker's lawsuit after his team claimed that the character Nicepool from Deadpool & Wolverine was a dig at the Jane the Virgin star. Justin Baldoni's attorneys strike back at Blake Lively As for his response to the Another Simple Favor actress and her team of lawyers, Freedman released a statement to TMZ, striking back. He stated, "Ms. Lively and her team's predictable declaration of victory is false, so let us be clear about the latest ruling." The Lawyer added, "While the Court dismissed the defamation-related claims, the Court has invited us to amend four out of the seven claims against Ms. Lively, which will showcase additional evidence and refined allegations." He further went on to mention, "This case is about false accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation and a nonexistent smear campaign, which Ms. Lively's own team conveniently describes as 'untraceable' because they cannot prove what never happened.' While Lively has emerged victorious in getting the claims against her dismissed, the legal drama with Baldoni has cost her her friendship with Taylor Swift. Though the musician was released from Baldoni's lawsuit some time ago, the sources reveal that the Grammy-winning singer is still not speaking to the actress. The legal battle between the It Ends With Us co-stars began six months after the movie was released. Lively filed the lawsuit against Balddoni on the grounds of s*xual harassment and running a smear campaign against her. As for the director, he filed a countercase against the Age of Adeline star and her husband for defamation and extortion.

Marvel Gets Released From Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively Drama Right After 400 Million USD Lawsuit Dismissal, Know-How
Trigger Warning: This article includes references to sexual harassment. Marvel Entertainment has been officially removed from the ongoing legal case between Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively and Jane the Virgin actor-director Justin Baldoni. On June 9, U.S. District Court Judge Lewis J. Liman granted Marvel's request to quash a subpoena and shield its confidential documents from disclosure. According to PEOPLE, the subpoena had been issued by Baldoni's Wayfarer Parties in an attempt to obtain internal Marvel communications related to a character named Nicepool from Deadpool & Wolverine, written by and starring Ryan Reynolds, Lively's husband. Why was Marvel involved in the first place? Baldoni's legal team argued that the Nicepool character was created to harass and ridicule him. In documents sent earlier this year, Baldoni's attorneys claimed the character was part of a broader effort to "mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate or bully" him amid his legal feud with Lively. To support their case, Baldoni's lawyers sent a litigation hold letter on January 7 to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger. They demanded that all documents mentioning Baldoni be preserved. However, Judge Liman wrote that the subpoena is now irrelevant. "The information sought [from Marvel] is no longer relevant to a claim or defense in this action," he stated in the court order. Marvel Entertainment first filed a request on April 25, asking the court to issue a protective order over its confidential files and to void the subpoena. With the dismissal of Baldoni's USD 400 million countersuit earlier that day, the court agreed that there is no longer a legal need to involve Marvel in the case. What's next in the Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni case? While the countersuit was dismissed, Judge Liman stated that Baldoni could revise and refile certain claims by June 23 if he chooses to continue. The countersuit, originally seeking USD 400 million, accused Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, publicist Leslie Sloane, and Vision PR, Inc. of defamation, civil extortion, and more. Baldoni had filed it in response to Lively's lawsuit, which alleges sexual harassment and retaliation. She is seeking triple and punitive damages. A trial for Lively v. Wayfarer Studios et al. is scheduled for March 2026.
