Regent's Skyview Suite piques great interest from affluent cruisers

Travel Weekly10-07-2025
Regent Seven Seas Cruises said there's been high demand for the $25,000-per-night suite on the Seven Seas Prestige, a luxury ship coming in December 2026. The day sales launched on June 15, nearly half of the available bookings sold, Regent said.
The two-level 8,794-square-foot Skyview Regent Suite was booked for six of 13 available sailings, Regent shared. Now, just three sailings remain available for the suite, with the remaining sailings held with deposits or pending deposits, said a company spokesperson.
The suite is the largest ever aboard an ultra-luxury ship, according to Regent. The company's previous most expensive suite is about $15,000 a night.
"I'm absolutely thrilled, but not surprised, by the phenomenal results that Seven Seas Prestige has produced," said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. "We knew that luxury travelers were extremely eager to reserve their suite on this incredible ship."
Overall, the Prestige's first day of bookings was busier than any of Regent's prior debuts. Customers scooped up 26% more staterooms and suites than during launch day for the Seven Seas Splendor in 2018, Regent said.
The ship is scheduled to sail its first voyage on Dec. 13, 2026, from Barcelona to Miami.
The Prestige will be the inaugural ship in Regent's first new ship class in a decade and will accommodate 822 guests. Regent aims to provide guests with more space than ever; the ship will be 40% larger than its previous vessels but accommodate just 10% more guests.

Stewart's sells 6 locations across 2 deals

Dive Brief: Stewart's Shops has sold four convenience stores to Mirabito Energy Products and two to Prestige Petroleum, a company spokesperson confirmed to C-Store Dive. Mirabito's acquisition introduces the company's c-store banner to Vermont, according to a company announcement. Five of the six stores were divested as part of an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission ahead of Stewart's closing its acquisition of the 45-store Jolley chain, the spokesperson confirmed. Dive Insight: Stewart's closed its deal for Jolley in December of last year. The deal grew its footprint in Vermont and New York and gave Stewart's its first foothold in New Hampshire. Mirabito, an energy and convenience company based in Binghamton, New York, purchased former Stewart's locations in Queensbury and Rouses Point, New York, and former Jolley locations in Plattsburgh, New York, and Manchester, Vermont. 'We are proud to welcome these locations into the Mirabito family,' said David Bonczek, CEO of Mirabito Energy Products, in a separate announcement. 'We have been honored to provide residential and commercial fuels along with HVAC services in these regions for many years, and we look forward to strengthening those relationships by delivering reliable convenience and added value both at home and on the road.' These locations will be rebranded to Mirabito and begin accepting its Mirabito Rewards loyalty program, which gives customers fuel discounts and special offers. Prestige Petroleum purchased two former Jolley locations in Queensbury, according to the Stewart's spokesperson. This is the second time in the past month a convenience retailer has divested stores to get FTC approval for an acquisition. Alimentation Couche-Tard sold 35 locations to Majors Management as part of its purchase of GetGo Cafe + Market from grocer Giant Eagle. Gordon & MacPhail To Release The World's Oldest Scotch Whisky

This extraordinary expression, distilled at Glenlivet Distillery and matured for 85 years, is set to be unveiled in October 2025. The release marks a collaboration with acclaimed American architect and designer Jeanne Gang, blending fine Scotch whisky with modern design. On February 3, 1940, George Urquhart and his father John, the visionaries behind Gordon & MacPhail, made the bold decision to lay down spirit from the Glenlivet Distillery in a custom American oak cask. Known affectionately as 'Mr. George,' George Urquhart had no intention of tasting the whisky himself. Instead, his goal was to create a legacy—an enduring gift to future generations. By February 1940, distillers like The Glenlivet and bottlers such as Gordon & MacPhail faced severe barley shortages due to the British government's decision to prioritize existing barley stocks for food and animal feed. Many distilleries either slowed down or halted whisky production entirely. The fact that Gordon & MacPhail stored a cask of Glenlivet in February 1940 — during a time when barley was rationed — makes the decision even more impressive. It demonstrates both foresight and confidence in the long-term value of aging whisky, despite the uncertainties of wartime. After 85 years of aging—longer than any single malt Scotch whisky in history—the cask, numbered 336, was finally emptied on February 5, 2025. The outcome: only 125 bottles of this rare spirit, bottled with Gordon & MacPhail's signature precision and expertise. Stephen Rankin, Gordon & MacPhail Director of Prestige & fourth generation family member Photo, courtesy Gordon & MacPhail Stephen Rankin, Director of Prestige and a fourth-generation member of the family business, describes the whisky as 'a rare and remarkable creation'. He added, 'bottled at 43.7% ABV, the whisky represents a living piece of history. Its long maturation, combined with the cask's influence and scarcity, creates a profile of extraordinary depth and complexity.' According to Rankin, 'for over 130 years, Gordon & MacPhail has been committed to producing single malt Scotch whisky of unmatched quality. Through four generations, the company has curated casks for spirits from more than 100 Scottish distilleries. Their philosophy has always been to wait—not to release a whisky until it reaches the precise moment of perfection, guided by over a century of accumulated expertise.' To honor the legacy of John and George Urquhart, Gordon & MacPhail collaborated with Jeanne Gang, an award-winning architect known for her innovative design approach. The theme of their partnership, 'Artistry in Oak,' reflects the brand's respect for time, material, and craftsmanship. Jeanne Gang Photo, courtesy Gordon & MacPhail Gang drew parallels between architecture and whisky-making, noting that both disciplines depend heavily on material integrity and the passage of time. Her decanter design, set to be unveiled in October 2025, aims to blend these ideas into a fitting vessel for the world's oldest whisky. Decanter #1 will be auctioned by Christie's New York in November 2025, with proceeds—after costs—benefiting American Forests, the oldest national nonprofit conservation organization in the U.S. The donation will support sustainable American oak tree restoration, reinforcing Gordon & MacPhail's dedication to a lasting environmental legacy. 'Given the importance of oak in our craft, this partnership was a natural fit,' says Rankin. 'Our goal is to leave a meaningful legacy not just through whisky, but by contributing to the future of the natural resources we rely upon.' Prestige Estates acquires remaining 40% in Apex Realty Ventures to make it a wholly-owned subsidiary

By Aditya Bhagchandani Published on July 22, 2025, 15:19 IST Prestige Estates Projects Limited announced on July 22, 2025, that it has acquired the remaining 40% partnership interest in Apex Realty Ventures LLP, making the firm its wholly-owned subsidiary. The acquisition was completed through Prestige and its wholly-owned subsidiary by paying a cash consideration and settling the retiring partner's capital balance of ₹0.4 crore. According to the company's filing under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, Apex Realty Ventures is a Bengaluru-based real estate development firm incorporated on March 28, 2019. The LLP reported a turnover of ₹724.08 crore for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, compared to ₹1,007.82 crore in FY24 and ₹0.81 crore in FY23. Prior to this transaction, Prestige Estates already held a 60% partnership stake in the entity. Post-acquisition, the company now holds 100% — directly and indirectly — consolidating its control over Apex Realty. The company stated that this move was driven by business reasons and the objective of consolidating its stake. The acquisition was completed on July 22, 2025, and does not involve any related-party transactions or require regulatory approvals. This step strengthens Prestige Estates' position in the real estate and construction space and is aligned with its strategy of consolidating and expanding its portfolio of development projects.
