Southampton are favourites to land Rangers -linked Danny Rohl.
The Sheffield Wednesday boss has been heavily linked with the vacant Ibrox job over the last 24 hours.
Speculation has been ramped up with the news that the 35-year-old is set to quit Sheffield Wednesday.
Championship rivals Southampton, though, are in the driving seat for the German.

The St Mary's club has made Rohl their top managerial target and believe he can get them back up at the first time of asking.
Rohl has previously worked at Southampton and would be keen to return.
They have sacked both Russell Martin and Ivan Juric this season.
Rohl began his coaching career with Red Bull Leipzig and has also worked at Bayern Munich and been an assistant coach with the German national team.
He became the youngest head coach in the English Football League when he was appointed Sheffield Wednesday boss back in 2023.
Rangers are continuing to look at managerial options for next season.
Barry Ferguson and his backroom team remain in interim charge.
Sporting director Kevin Thelwell will come in from Everton officially in the summer but the added complication is that Andrew Cavenagh and his consortium, which includes the 49ers, are looking to complete their takeover.
They will also want an input into the next Rangers manager and have been up in Glasgow for talks in recent weeks.

Wrexham line up move for Tottenham star as Phil Parkinson looks to strengthen his squad for the Championship
Wrexham want Ben Davies despite Tottenham exercising their option to extend the defender's contract by 12 months at the weekend. Davies has been a Spurs player since 2014 and he featured in 28 games under Ange Postecoglou last season, despite not being a member of the manager's first-choice XI. Davies has played 358 games for Tottenham in total, operating both as a left back and a central defender. He is a popular member of the dressing room and especially close to captain Son Heung-min. Davies recently saw his contract extended until June 2026, which means Wrexham would likely need to pay Spurs a modest transfer fee to land him this summer. Tottenham's willingness to let Davies leave could depend on whether or not they are successful in their attempts to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. Spurs are expected to formalise their interest in 22-year-old Branthwaite next week. Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson looks set for a busy summer following his side's promotion from League One to the Championship. Davies has never played below the top tier of English football, having been a Premier League player for his entire club career to date.
