Stripped-Down Version of Triumph Scrambler 400 X spotted being tested in Germany. Is it coming to India?
The new model, which is most probably derived from the Scrambler 400X platform, sacrifices some of the premiumness of its cousin to provide a more affordable and possibly street-level scrambler. Check Offers
Triumph Motorcycles is readying a new, more accessible version of its Scrambler 400 X as part of a broader strategy to diversify its entry-level lineup. Recently the German website, Motorrad & Reisen spotted a test unit of the same undergoing testing overseas. This next model, unofficially named the Scrambler T4, is expected to sport a stripped-down look and a lower price point, as is the case with the Speed T4 undercutting the Speed 400.
The new model, which is most probably derived from the Scrambler 400X platform, sacrifices some of the premiumness of its cousin to provide a more affordable and possibly street-level scrambler. Though the final name remains unconfirmed, possibilities include Street Scrambler 400 or Scrambler 400 RS, aligning with Triumph's previous naming conventions for its modern classic twins. However, the T4 tag remains a strong possibility, given the existing Speed T4.

Visually, the test bike reveals several changes: a new side body panel, a compact windscreen, and USD front forks finished in a more subdued black instead of the usual flashy treatment. The seat is single piece, substituting the 400 X's split design, with rubber tank pads being absent as well.
The rear of the bike gets a reworked, minimalist tail section, an exposed basic pillion grabrail, and reduced tail lights (Motorrad & Reisen)
The rear of the bike gets a reworked, minimalist tail section, an exposed basic pillion grabrail, and reduced tail lights. Even the handlebar is stripped down, with missing brace pads and knuckle guards. This implies that the new motorcycle will be pitched as an affordable offering. Expected specs and power output
It is expected to feature the same 398cc single-cylinder motor of the Speed T4, however a slightly detuned version of it. It is expected to come in with just about 30.6 bhp at 7,000 RPM and 36 Nm of twist at 5,000 RPM and will feature a 6-speed gearbox. An analogue throttle lever and half-digital instrument cluster shared from the 400 X are expected to be featured with the new motorcycle as well.

While Triumph has yet to announce any launch details, it's anticipated that the new scrambler will be launched sometime later this year. Priced and spec'ed below the Scrambler 400X, it will appeal to riders looking for classic scrambler looks and experience without the premium price tag.

Is Elon Musk's feud with Donald Trump a teaser for his political ambitions? Rumors spiral as 'Muskians' weigh in
In an unexpected twist that's rippling through political and tech circles alike, Elon Musk and Donald Trump—once perceived as two towering allies of influence—are now locked in a public spat that's as volatile as their personalities. The feud , which has evolved from sharp remarks to veiled accusations, is fueling whispers of a deeper political pivot for the Tesla and SpaceX boss. Could this be Musk's unofficial campaign trailer for a future role in politics ? From Compliments to Cold Wars The dramatic fallout began when Trump, speaking alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, commented coolly on his past rapport with Musk: 'Elon and I had a great relationship… I don't know if we will anymore.' The remark came after Musk voiced criticism of Trump's Big Beautiful Bill (BBB)—a sweeping debt-cutting proposal. Trump quickly countered, accusing Musk of attacking the bill to safeguard Tesla's electric vehicle subsidies. Musk didn't hold back. In a stunning escalation, he suggested on social media that Trump may be implicated in the "Epstein files," sending speculation into overdrive. The insinuation lit up the internet, while Trump fired back with threats to strip Musk of his multi-billion-dollar government contracts, suggesting this would be a quick way to 'save billions' in the federal budget. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like War Thunder - Register now for free and play against over 75 Million real Players War Thunder Play Now Undo Political Chess or Genuine Rift? As the drama unfolded, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie stepped in with a striking perspective. Massie dismissed the idea that Musk was ever driven by tax incentives, claiming the billionaire's involvement with political figures had cost him more than it gained. 'So many politicians get into politics for personal benefit,' Massie said while talking with Fox News . 'Elon's motivations go beyond that.' According to Radar Online, t his clash has left the Republican base visibly shaken. Trump loyalists are reeling, struggling to reconcile their admiration for both men. Some online users, affectionately dubbed "Muskians," appear to be navigating what commentators are calling the 'seven stages of political grief.' And with Musk increasingly weighing in on legislative matters and electoral dynamics, some believe he's testing the waters for a deeper dive into the political arena. Massie's suggestion that Musk should engage more with primary elections than general contests is telling. Not all Republicans are cut from the same cloth, and Musk's vocal criticism of Trump-era policies—paired with his ever-growing influence—could position him as a disruptive force within the GOP, or even beyond it. Critics argue that Musk's interventions highlight a broader shift in conservative politics, where tech moguls and billionaire capitalists wield growing influence over party ideology and public discourse. But the tension also exposes a deeper fear: that Musk, with his staggering wealth, massive online following , and visionary allure, could reshape political engagement altogether—perhaps as a candidate, or at least as a kingmaker. — RepThomasMassie (@RepThomasMassie) From Boardroom to Ballot? For now, Musk hasn't made any formal moves toward a political office. But the ferocity of his feud with Trump, paired with his increasing interest in legislative decisions, is leaving many to wonder: is this more than a battle of egos? Is it a preview of a seismic shift in American political leadership? Whatever the truth may be, one thing is clear—the Musk-Trump rift is more than just personal. It's political, it's public, and it might just be the start of Elon Musk's most uncharted journey yet. Volkswagen's new modular EV platform supports combustion engines, but there's a catch
Volkswagen's SSP will play a crucial role in the automobile group's future product strategy. (AFP) Notify me Remember Volkswagen's Scalable Systems Platform, or SSP, which is a modular electric vehicle architecture? It's been more than four years since the German automaker announced the SSP, the all-encompassing electric vehicle of the OEM. Volkswagen's Scalable Systems Platform was originally expected to be ready by now, but it has been delayed until later this decade. This setback has been attributed to Volkswagen's software division Cariad. However, the auto major is revealing new details of the SSP. While the SSP is primarily an electric vehicle platform, it is also supposed to support internal combustion engines (ICE). But, there is a catch. Volksagen AG plans to introduce ICE to the SSP as a range extender not as a power mill to drive the vehicles. This means the ICE will generate power not to drive the wheels of the EVs underpinned by the SSP, but will function as generators to charge the battery pack onboard. In a nutshell, the ICE will not be mechanically linked to the wheels. Interestingly, Nissan's e-Power technology too follows a similar working principle, where the petrol engine powers the battery pack, not the drivetrain. Volkswagen plans to make SSP a foundation for models across all its brands. Volkswagen had already indicated its interest in range extender technology. The newly launched Scout brand of the company is gearing up to launch a pickup truck and an SUV, which all will come with naturally aspirated ICE generators. SSP to play key role in VW's future product strategy The SSP is a major initiative for Volkswagen as the automaker plans to make this architecture a foundation for models across all its brands. This will eventually replace all the existing EV platforms of the Volkswagen AG. The carmaker is planning to launch at least five different models across different body styles based on the SSP. These vehicles will range from a city hatchback to a large SUV. According to Automotive News report, there will be eight derivatives in total, covering every segment of the market. Next-generation electric cars from the Volkswagen AG based on SSP are expected to start rolling out in 2026. Check out Upcoming EV Cars in India, Upcoming EV Bikes in India.
