(Mirror), externalReal Madrid were the first club to be approached by Andy Robertson's agent but rejected the opportunity to make an approach to Liverpool for the 31-year-old Scotland captain. (Defensa Central), externalAtletico Madrid are also considering Aston Villa's Lucas Digne as an option at left-back if they fail to secure Robertson, with the Spanish club only wanting to pay a small fee or get the left-back on a free transfer. (Fabrizio Romano on X), externalCeltic would consider a move for Robertson, who would be interested in joining his boyhood club, but only if he becomes available for free or at a nominal fee covering the remainder of his contract, as matching his current wages or paying a significant transfer fee is beyond the Scottish champions' reach. T20 cricket: Triple Super Over for the very first time, as Netherlands defeat Nepal

The Netherlands came through an unprecedented three Super Overs to defeat Nepal in a T20 cricket tri-series match. It was the first time a triple Super Over had been seen in an international cricket match. A Super Over occurs when a match ends in a tie after both innings have been completed, with each team being given an extra six balls to pull ahead. If a Super Over ends in a tie, another Super Over is played until a team emerges as the winner. In general, Super Overs are rare. A match had only ever gone into a second Super Over once before, after India and Afghanistan went to an extra 12 balls last year. The Dutch posted 152 for seven after their 20 overs and appeared set for victory in Glasgow as Nepal required 16 runs from their final over, but Nandan Yadav scored a boundary on the last ball - leaving both teams with the same number of runs - forcing the first Super Over. Nepal then made 19 runs, which the Dutch matched thanks to Max O'Dowd hitting a six on the final ball. During the second Super Over, the Netherlands, batting first, hit 17 runs but Nepal again stayed in the match after Dipendra Singh Airee hit a six on the last ball to force the first instance of a third Super Over. With Nepal failing to score a single run and with the Dutch needing just one run, Michael Levitt smashed a six to finally seal the win for the Netherlands. The 2025 Scotland T20 Tri-Nation Series is taking place after the conclusion of the thirteenth round of the 2024-2026 Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-nation One Day International (ODI) tournament contested by the men's national teams of the Netherlands, Nepal and Scotland. The Netherlands had lost their opening match of the series with Scotland on Monday and now have a rest day. Nepal are straight back into action against the Scots.

The Canadian right-back flew to St Lucia with new wife Peyton after another successful season in green and white. He missed from the spot in the Scottish Cup final penalty shootout, handing Aberdeen victory. But he and his missus were all smiles again at their wedding just over a week ago. And now they've been sunning it up in St Lucia, residing in the stunning Sugar Beach Viceroy Hotel. Johnston posted a series of pictures from their time away together on his Instagram account, with the caption "Honeymooned :)". Plenty of fans replied to the post to say congratulations or to comment on how stunning their holiday looked. One Hoops die-hard even remarked: "A slice of Paradise." The couple got engaged last year in July in the height of the summer. Johnston proposed at the iconic Turnberry golf resort, with the course's famous lighthouse in full view. That was on the back of another luxury holiday not unlike their honeymoon this year. Celtic transfer special - Nygren in and Kyogo to return But last off-season they headed for the sun-soaked Amalfi coast rather than the Caribbean. The newlyweds have been a pair since their college days, when Peyton was an aspiring tennis player and Johnston trying to win a pro contract in football. They met at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, with Peyton following her footie star beau to Nashville SC and CF Montreal before joining him in Scotland when he signed a five-yer deal to join the Glasgow giants in 2023. Peyton, 23, was a prominent player on Wake Forest's tennis programme for several years. Their plush hotel even had a tennis court for the two to enjoy a rally against one another. Peyton broke into the top 100 of the college tennis rankings in his first year and had made it to the qualifying stage of some professional events on the ITF World Tennis Tour. But she hung up her racket after her uni days were over. She posted on Instagram: "For 14 years, this sport has proven to be one of the toughest, but also one of the greatest. "I am thankful to have met all of the wonderful people in my life that will continue to be my best friends in the future. "These past fouryears have been difficult, but fun, and I loved this university with all of my heart." Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Time to 'cash in' on Kuhn - or 'crazy to sell' him?

We asked for your views on how Celtic should address Nicolas Kuhn's future amid reports linking the winger with a big-money move away from what some of you said:Mikey: I wouldn't be selling Kuhn for £15m. If the player wants to move on, let him go if he isn't happy at Celtic. But the fee needs to beat the last club record, £25m-plus. If we want to progress into the Champions League again, we need to be retaining our best players to get past the We've had half a season from him over one-and-a-half seasons. He can be fairly predictable and quiet in bigger games, and it seems he doesn't want to be here. With a replacement lined up, cash Recently it feels like his head is elsewhere. He can be such a good player, but to my mind he doesn't look very happy, maybe it's time for him to move Would be happy to cash in on Kuhn. He's been too inconsistent and the money being talked about is above what he's worth, compared to the consistent output of someone like Matt O'Riley. Great first half of the season, disappeared after January rumours of a move and saw some flashes towards the end of the season, but the cup final performance epitomised the frustration with He had a strong first half of the season and one man-of-the-match performance against Leipzig. The second half of the season he struggled to maintain his form. I would cash in, as around £10m profit on Kuhn will be a wise move and can be reinvested elsewhere. The next Daizen Maeda perhaps?Peter: Alongside Reo Hatate he is our only creative player, plus he scores as many as our forwards. Would be a huge step backwards to sell him. Lots of others we could do without, but not Celtic would be crazy to part ways with Kuhn. He's an electric player who has been a true workhorse. His best days are ahead of him.
