Katie Price and Kerry Katona reveal they WANT their teenage daughters to go on Love Island and follow in their reality TV footsteps as they weigh in on 'nepo baby' debate

Daily Mail17 hours ago
Katie Price and Kerry Katona have confessed that they want their teenage daughters to go on ITV 's flagship show Love Island.
Katie, 47, is a mother to Harvey, 22, with her ex Dwight Yorke, Junior, 19, and Princess 18, with ex-husband Peter Andre, and Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
Meanwhile, Kerry, 44, shares daughters Molly, 23, and Lilly Sue, 22, with her first husband Brian McFadden; Heidi, 18, and Max, 16, with second husband Mark Croft and her youngest DJ, 10, with late husband George Kay.
Now, the famous friends have confessed that they want their respective teenage daughters, Princess and Heidi, to sign up for Love Island and follow in their reality TV footsteps.
Katie told The Sun: 'I always say Love Island, Heidi and Princess need to do it together.'
To which Kerry added: 'The way I see it is, forget management, forget fame, what an amazing memory, what an amazing adventure.'
The pair have confessed to The Sun that they want their two teenage daughters, Princess and Heidi (pictured with her mother Kerry) to be a competitor on the dating reality show Love Island
Kerry also hit back at 'nepo baby' accusations as she insisted their children would only be able to thrive in the industry if they had the talent as well.
'Everyone talks about nepotism right, but everyone has a contact for somebody, I can open a door for you, whether you get through that door and you stay through it, that's on your own f*cking merit,' she said.
'You don't see Brooklyn Beckham playing f*cking football, because he's sh*t - this is our family business, this is what we do as a family.'
Love Island is a UK dating competition where a group of singles live together in a luxury villa and try to form romantic connections in a bid to win a £50,000 cash prize.
It would not be Princess' first foray into reality TV as she has teamed up with ITV to release her fly-on-the-wall series, The Princess Diaries.
Princess is also said to already have a net worth of £500,000 and starred on the cover of OK! Magazine for her 18th birthday as she follows in her mum's showbiz footsteps.
While this is a substantial amount of money, this is just 10 per cent of what Princess's ratings can secure as she has vowed to become a 'millionaire by the age of 20'
For a single sponsorship brand deal video, the blonde beauty can be anywhere between £2,540 to £3,810.
Meanwhile, Heidi, who boasts 18,000 followers on Instagram, has reportedly just 'done her first solo shoot', according to her mother Kerry.
Heidi is currently a brand ambassador for In Print We Trust, and she offers fans discounts for using her code as she has proven herself to be the budding influencer.
And it is not just TV appearances and brand deals that Heidi can capitalise off, as her TikTok and Instagram accounts have amassed over 20,000 followers.
With her 18,000 Instagram followers, she is estimated to earn anywhere between £160 to £245 for each sponsorship brand deal video.
Heidi has been trying to break onto the showbusiness scene for many years as she appeared on The Voice Kids in 2020.
Having confessed previously that 'she knows she will be famous in the future', the brunette beauty has also teased that she has considered going on Love Island when she is older enough.
And there is more to come for the star as a source told the Sun last year that she had 'already secured some incredible opportunities, including a casting in for a lead role in a Pinocchio feature film'.
Heidi appears to be taking inspiration of success from family friend Princess as the Katona and Price families have been spending more time with one another over recent years.

Jess Wright always in 'doubt' over her success as she's compared to brother Mark

Former TOWIE star Jess Wright candidly admits to comparing her success to her famous brother Mark and her other siblings as she often doubts if she's 'doing well enough' Reality TV star Jess Wright has revealed that she constantly doubts her own success when comparing her career to that of her brother Mark Wright. Jess first shot to fame when she appeared on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2010 and has managed to secure a number of career successes since leaving the show the show. ‌ But due to the harsh nature of the TV industry, the star claims that she is constantly worrying if she is doing as well as her famous sibling, who co-hosts his Heart radio show alongside singer, Olly Murs. This comes after John Torode's wife Lisa Faulkner breaks her silence after his MasterChef sacking. ‌ In a recent interview, Jess said: "I'm quite driven by my family. Everyone is really ambitious and, obviously, Mark's really successful. Joshua is successful in what he does. Natalya's smashing it with her stuff. So you're always like: "God, am I doing enough?" I'm really hard on myself. I always think I'm not doing well enough." ‌ ‌ Opening up to The Sun in one of her most candid chats to date, she revealed that she often wakes up in the morning "thinking about my career." Having had a long stint within TV, Jess went on to say that she is aware of all the new faces that are coming through thanks to shows including Love Island. And TV bosses are always looking for the next big thing. But Jess is now set to join Jack Osbourne, Natalie Cassidy and Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu as they star in Cooking With The Stars, which is set to air later this evening. ‌ And while she is set to compete on a cooking show, it has also been reported that Mark, who recently became a father for the first time, is also rumoured to be appearing on Celebrity Bake Off. If the rumours are to be believed, Mark will join Molly-Mae Hague and JoJo Siwa. A source informed the publication: "Mark has had his hands full being a new dad but he found time to film for the new series of Celebrity Bake Off. It's a cause close to Mark's heart as it's all for the Stand Up Cancer charity and he is a big fan of the show. " ‌ They added: "It won't air until next year so fans will have to wait a good few months to find out how he fares in the tent." Despite being a father for the first time, it seems as though both he and Michelle Keegan have taken to parenthood with ease. When speaking about her brother as a dad, Jess told OK!: "Obviously now we've got Palma who is going to fit right in. She's adorable! They all absolutely love spending time with each other and Palma is an angel. She's so beautiful and sweet. The boys love her and are very gentle with her." She added: "It's lovely seeing [Mark and Michelle] as parents, I knew they would be incredible parents and they are. We're always with each other anyway and we tell each other little bits - there's always room to help each other out when you have babies. It's all such new territory."

Love Island's Megan takes swipe at Shakira and Harry as she shares verdict on co-stars

Megan Forte Clarke, who was dumped from the villa by the public alongside Conor Phillips this week, has shared her thoughts on the remaining couples on Love Island Former Love Island star Megan Forte Clarke has shared her thoughts on the couples still in the villa following her departure. She was dumped in a public vote alongside Conor Phillips this week, just days ahead of the live final. ‌ Megan, 24, had originally been voted out of the villa earlier in the series but she recently returned. She then rekindled a romance with co-star Conor, 25, but they received the least votes in the latest poll and their exits aired last night. ‌ After leaving the villa for a second time, Megan gave her opinion on the remaining couples, including teasing that she didn't expect one of them to still be together. It comes after Top Gear host admitted he 'never got along' with Jeremy Clarkson as he made a bold statement. ‌ READ MORE: Shaughna Phillips reveals why Love Island's top couple won't last – and it makes sense Speaking to ITV, Megan said that it was a "shock" to see Harry Cooksley, 30, and Shakira Khan, 22, together. They are now coupled up once again after having been in a long-running love triangle with now-dumped Helena Ford, 29. Last week, shortly after Megan returned to the villa, Helena ended things with Harry, bringing the love triangle to a close too. In the same episode, he told Shakira that he was either leaving with her or without her, and he went on to choose her in the last recoupling. ‌ Asked if any couples had changed in the time between her first exit and her return, Megan said: "I don't think any couple has changed. I think Harry and Shakira being together was a shock for me but everyone is really genuine." Further sharing her opinion, Megan teased that she thinks the couples in the villa have potential for a long-term relationship. She said: "I definitely think all the other couples have long term potential, it all just makes sense." Megan however revealed that there's one couple in particular that she hopes wins Love Island. She named Yasmin Pettet, 24, and Jamie Rhodes, 26, as her choice as winners ahead of this series' live final taking place next week. ‌ Asked who she's rooting for on the show, Megan said following her departure this week: "I'm really rooting for Yasmin and Jamie this time round." Further discussing the couple, she added: "They balance each other out perfectly." Megan also revealed that she was feeling "much better" about leaving the villa with Conor compared to her first exit. She said: "I left on really good terms." She continued by saying: "It was a nice way to leave and I'm very happy." ‌ She added: "I took a big risk coming back because I could have easily been pied but I have gone out with what I came in for - everything happens for a reason." The islander also said that it was a "completely different experience". Megan said: "[It was] a lot more relaxing and a lot more lovey dovey. It was I think a completely different experience the second time round and it was a different villa to the first time when everyone was wife swapping." Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
