Emmerdale's Kim prepares to break big news about unexpected new love interest

Metroa day ago
When Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) spotted her good friend and employer Kim Tate (Claire King) in the cafe in Emmerdale recently she also spotted something else. Kim was looking at messages on her phone, and Lydia – who knows her very well – realised that Kim had a new man in her life.
Obviously she wanted to know more, but Kim wasn't giving much away although we've previously seen her texting someone called Eddie. Lydia guessed it was someone connected with horses, as we all know Kim loves horses, but Kim said no. In fact, her new beau is a cosmetic surgeon.
That's bound to come in handy if she ever decides she needs a few tweakments, but for the time being Lydia was pleased to see her friend looking happier than she has in a while.
On Christmas Day, Kim's husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) died unexpectedly of a heart attack.
His death came at the end of a turbulent time for the couple who were daggers-drawn after Will got a bit too close to his ex-wife. Revenge and counter-revenge ensued, with Kim at one point staging a blackmail plot against Will and pushing him into an open grave in the woods.
Will then joined in a plan to destroy Kim and take all of her money, but he changed his mind when he realised he was still in love with her.
As Will collapsed to the floor on Christmas Day, Kim refused to believe his life was really in danger and it was new arrival Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) who pointed out that Will was having a heart attack. In emotional scenes Kim desperately tried to help her husband, but it was too late.
Kim was distraught, as was Will's daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley). After her father's death Dawn accused Kim of killing him and got her arrested. She also drugged her with ketamine. More Trending
Eventually Dawn came to realise that Will's death wasn't down to Killer Kim, and Kim reassured her that she thought of her as a daughter. To seal the deal she persuaded Dawn to give up her job at the vet's and work for Home Farm Estates instead.

Since then, Kim has been on hand for advice about the Dawn/Billy (Jay Kontzle)/Joe triangle and the two women have been getting on fairly well.
But the usually fearless Kim is definitely worried in upcoming episodes when she realises that it's time to tell the rest of the family about new boyfriend Eddie.

Coronation Street legend tells shocking cancer lie as his colleague reels

Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) has had a tough time of it recently on Coronation Street as he's been going through gruelling treatment following a cancer diagnosis at the start of the year. Chemotherapy sessions have left him weak and tired, and he's also had the emotional stress of learning about his sister's Debbie (Sue Devaney)'s own diagnosis of dementia. Luckily our Kev has the support of his loyal wife Abi (Sally Carman) and his loving brother Carl (Jonathan Howard). But recently Kevin has found out that Carl is harbouring romantic feelings for Abi – and that she's trying her best to deny that she feels the same. Kevin recently rumbled what was going on after he saw a message from Carl on Abi's phone saying he'd like to get to know her better. Abi subsequently warned Carl off and then told Kevin that Carl was responsible for some sloppy workmanship in the garage. When Kevin saw on CCTV that Abi had tampered with the car Carl was working on, he accused them of having an affair. Abi denied it, but said she was annoyed by Carl's texts, laying all the blame on him. But then Kevin saw Abi hugging his brother after she told him she felt bad for lying to Kevin – and obviously that set him thinking. In upcoming episodes, Kevin heads to a hospital appointment to find out whether his cancer treatment has been successful. Nervously, he goes into the consultant's office, braced for whatever news might come next. Meanwhile, Abi is angry when she gets back from a callout to find Carl in the garage with his feet up. He reiterates that he can't stop thinking about her and he's convinced she feels the same, but she insists that it's Kevin she loves and she's happy with her life. Back in the Street, Kevin tells Carl that he's been given the all-clear and the cancer has gone. However, this is not what he's told Abi. She tells Carl that Kevin has told her he's going to need another round of chemo. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? When Kevin strains his groin playing football with Jack (Kyran Bowes), Abi is concerned and tells him he needs to tell his family the truth. He tells Debbie and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that, unfortunately, the cancer didn't respond to the treatment he's had so far and he needs to have more chemo. More Trending It's not long before he has a change of heart, and explains to Tyrone that his previous account was a lie. The chemo has worked and he's now cancer-free. Tyrone is obviously stunned that Kevin would do something as shocking and hurtful as telling his family that he's still seriously unwell. View More » What's Kevin up to? EastEnders' Ben Mitchell's 'return imminent' as Callum cheats with unlikely pal

Amongst all the drama with Bernie and Felix's exit in tonight's EastEnders, fans were left in shock when Johnny and Callum shared a passionate kiss - despite his marriage to Ben In tonight's EastEnders, Felix Baker was left in tears after spotting his boyfriend Johnny Carter share a kiss with Callum Highway, despite him still being married to Ben Mitchell. During Pride celebrations in The Albert, Johnny was seen apologising to Callum after berating him for putting his life on hold while Ben serves time in prison in America. ‌ "You are a young, hot man with a life, a job, a future. When is your life going to be about you?" Johnny questioned before the two shared a passionate kiss. ‌ A devastated Felix decided to pack his bags and leave, and although Callum is still married to Ben, spoilers for next week confirm things will go one step further between the pair, as they're set to spend the night together. It's been rumoured that Max Bowden will be reprising his role as Ben Mitchell, and now fans think is return is sooner than we think. Another Ballum fan penned: "I know I'm late to the conversation but I only have this to say regarding Johnny/Callum - it's unfortunate but irrelevant. Ben is coming back so drama was inevitable. I'm not worried." Earlier this year, it was reported that Max Bowden, who played Ben Mitchell, would be back for a brief stint in the show later this year, with a possibility of it becoming full-time. However, this has not yet been confirmed by bosses. ‌ A source told the Sun of the reported return: 'Ben [Wadey] had a list of characters he wanted to bring back, and Ben Mitchell was one. It's taken a little while to sort out, but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year.' 'Ben wanted to meet Max and see where his head was at," the source continued, revealing that the new boss went to see the actor in the musical Midnight Cowboy. ‌ 'Things hadn't ended particularly well, and Ben wanted to assure him this could be his fresh start," the source continued. They then revealed that Max had "agreed to come back for a short stint" after Ben pitched a comeback storyline for the character. Ben was last seen on screens in 2023 after being arrested for an international crime. He's currently in prison in America but the character is mentioned regularly by his father Phil and husband Callum. Will we be seeing his return in the near future?

Moira offers emotional gesture in Emmerdale amid tragic death mystery

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was on hand to support Cain (Jeff Hordley) in the wake of a decision about his murdered son in Emmerdale. Ever since the investigation into Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) death began, Cain has been at loggerheads with Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh), Nate's partner. Very early on, Tracy decided that Cain killed his son, and hasn't let go of this theory. Shortly before Nate died, Cain attacked him to the point Tracy feared he would kill him. As a result, it has left her convinced that Cain did go too far and is now covering up the fact Nate is dead because of him. From Cain's perspective, Tracy pushing this narrative has left him certain that she's only doing it for deflection, and that she actually killed Nate. They're both wrong, of course, as we know John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) is the culprit. But while this secret remains hidden, Tracy and Cain are continuing to clash. A couple of weeks ago, Tracy revealed that Cain wouldn't be allowed at Nate's funeral, and this development broke his heart. Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) tried to get Tracy to change her mind, but the situation was made worse, resulting in Tracy banning the entire Dingle family. It was Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) who helped Cain view the upcoming event from a different view, as the two characters chatted while Sarah recovered in hospital. As conversation turned to Nate's funeral, Sarah argued that Cain didn't need to stand around his coffin with a vicar beside him to say goodbye – he could do it another way. More Trending Sarah said that Cain can say goodbye to Nate however he wants. It was this conversation and Sarah's perspective on death that made Cain see things differently, and he concluded that his granddaughter was making a very good point. Cain spoke about this with Moira in the pub a while later. He certainly had warmed to the idea, but felt that they needed to do something more, rather than just spend one day reflecting on Nate's life. Moira proposed the idea of dedicating a corner of a field on Butlers Farm to Nate.
