EastEnders' Ben Mitchell's 'return imminent' as Callum cheats with unlikely pal
In tonight's EastEnders, Felix Baker was left in tears after spotting his boyfriend Johnny Carter share a kiss with Callum Highway, despite him still being married to Ben Mitchell.
During Pride celebrations in The Albert, Johnny was seen apologising to Callum after berating him for putting his life on hold while Ben serves time in prison in America.
"You are a young, hot man with a life, a job, a future. When is your life going to be about you?" Johnny questioned before the two shared a passionate kiss.
A devastated Felix decided to pack his bags and leave, and although Callum is still married to Ben, spoilers for next week confirm things will go one step further between the pair, as they're set to spend the night together.
It's been rumoured that Max Bowden will be reprising his role as Ben Mitchell, and now fans think is return is sooner than we think.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "I bet this will be a actual affair between Callum and Johnny and it's funny they have Callum hooking up with someone when Ben is about to come back."
Another Ballum fan penned: "I know I'm late to the conversation but I only have this to say regarding Johnny/Callum - it's unfortunate but irrelevant. Ben is coming back so drama was inevitable. I'm not worried."
Earlier this year, it was reported that Max Bowden, who played Ben Mitchell, would be back for a brief stint in the show later this year, with a possibility of it becoming full-time. However, this has not yet been confirmed by bosses.
A source told the Sun of the reported return: 'Ben [Wadey] had a list of characters he wanted to bring back, and Ben Mitchell was one. It's taken a little while to sort out, but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year.'
'Ben wanted to meet Max and see where his head was at," the source continued, revealing that the new boss went to see the actor in the musical Midnight Cowboy.
'Things hadn't ended particularly well, and Ben wanted to assure him this could be his fresh start," the source continued. They then revealed that Max had "agreed to come back for a short stint" after Ben pitched a comeback storyline for the character.
Ben was last seen on screens in 2023 after being arrested for an international crime. He's currently in prison in America but the character is mentioned regularly by his father Phil and husband Callum. Will we be seeing his return in the near future?

Love Island fans 'rumble real reason' Harrison got back with Toni in huge U-Turn
Harrison and Toni seemed to rekindle things in tonight's episode, but some fans aren't convinced as they suspect they've worked out the 'real reason' they got back together After last night's dramatic Love Island dumping, the Islanders realised their time in the villa was limited, as they expressed their true feelings. In a shock villa U-Turn, Harrison, who was getting to know Helena, told Toni he wanted to give things another go, despite them breaking up just yesterday. Harrison's reunion with Toni came just as Harry expressed he still had feelings for Helena. Early on in the episode, Harrison informed Toni that he wanted to give things another go and wasn't ready to throw away what they had. Helena later spotted them kissing on the Terrace, as Harrison told Helena he wanted to shift his focus back to Toni. It didn't seem like Helena was too bothered, however, as she informed Meg that Harry told her they'd be getting back together. However, fans weren't convinced with Harrison's speech to Toni, as they suspect he only did it because he suspected Helena and Harry would be getting back together sometime soon. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "Harrison has clocked that Helena will always pick Harry. He is just securing his spot. I hope Toni is doing the same until someone she likes moves in." Another penned: "The sudden SWITCH UP from Harrison is crazy like for the past few days you were saying how you wanted Helena and now all of a sudden it's Toni??" "Harrison has obviously gone back to Toni cuz he knows Helena is obsessed with Harry & knew there's no competition where Harry is concerned cuz he'd 'win,'" said a third. Despite this, the next morning, Harrison and Harry were seen preparing breakfast for Toni and Shakira - but will Harry and Helena find their way back together? Dejon thinks so... Earlier, Dejon and Harry were seen having a heart-to-heart by the fire pit as they reflected on the shocking events. Harry is currently coupled up with Shakira, but it seems neither he or Helena can get rid of their spark. 'The way you are with Helena, that's the H I know, but when you two [with Shakira] are together…" Dejon said, as Harry revealed it wasn't the same. It looks like the feelings are mutual with Helena, as she later told Meg and Dejon that she wanted to go to the Hideaway with Harry, as they later went to speak alone in the Snug. Speaking about his connection with Shakira to Helena, Harry said: 'I do like her, but obviously there's always going to be you at the back of my mind. I know I'm going to have to make a decision at some point, but it isn't today… just give me like a day.'

Corrie character goes behind a loved one's back as a huge showdown is confirmed
When Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) gave birth to her daughter Laila in Coronation Street she was determined to give the baby up for adoption. With Laila being the child of evil Joel Deering (Calum Lill), Dee-Dee had been convinced she wouldn't be able to cope with raising her. She only went through with the pregnancy and the birth because Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton)'s son Frankie needed a bone marrow transplant and they hoped Dee-Dee's baby would be a match. But everything changed after the baby was born. It was a traumatic experience for Dee-Dee and life-saving surgery for her after the birth left her unable to have any more children. With her brother James (Jason Callender) keen to adopt the baby – who was named Laila – this seemed like the perfect solution. But as Dee-Dee has seen more of Laila, she's grown more and more attached to her, even referring to her as 'my little girl' in a radio interview. Dee-Dee's Christian faith is very important to her, so recently she's realised that she would love Laila to be baptised. Unfortunately James isn't religious and told his sister that he didn't want Laila to have anything to do with the church. Dee-Dee ignored this and talked to Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) about arranging a christening. He said that James would have to give his permission, but when James refused to discuss the subject, Dee-Dee lied to Billy and said James was happy to go ahead. When Dee-Dee asked Alya (Sair Khan) to be Laila's godmother, Alya was troubled by the idea that the christening was going to be behind James's back. She reluctantly agreed, and the plans for the christening were finalised. More Trending The repercussions of this decision will become clear in upcoming episodes. The christening goes ahead, and Dee-Dee celebrates with Alya and Adam (Sam Robertson), Laila's godparents, and thanks Billy for a lovely service. How James reacts in the immediate aftermath of the christening remains to be seen, but it's not long before he tells Dee-Dee that he's spoken to the adoption team to get the ball rolling on becoming Laila's legal guardian. It's clear from that that he's not happy about such a huge decision as a christening being made without his consent and he's taking steps to make sure noting like that can happen again. Oasis fan sells ticket to opening gig after Liam Gallagher post
Oasis fan sells ticket to opening gig after Liam Gallagher post 'As an Asian and as a Chinese person I could not deal with it just by keeping silent and accepting what he was saying' Yue Xiong, who is originally from Shanghai in China but now lives in London, said she had been a huge fan of Oasis since she was 16 but has decided not to go to the Cardiff gig because of Liam's recent comments (Image: WalesOnline ) An Oasis fan has said she was left "completely heartbroken" and decided to sell her ticket to the opening gig for Oasis following frontman Liam Gallagher's now-deleted social media post, which included an offensive phrase. The 52-year-old singer came under fire after he used a racial slur on X, formerly known as Twitter. Social media users were quick to respond to the post with one fan telling him: "Liam, you can't say that" after he had posted an offensive term that is used to mock or imitate languages spoken in China or people from east Asia or of east Asian descent. Liam deleted the post and issued an apology. He wrote: "Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn't intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. Peace and love LG x". However some fans have expressed dismay over the matter. Read the biggest stories in Wales first by signing up to our daily newsletter here . Yue Xiong, who is originally from Shanghai in China but now lives in London, said she had been a huge fan of the Mancunian band since she was 16 years old and that their music had "saved [her] life". However Yue described Liam's remark as "completely not acceptable". As a result the Goldsmiths student said she had sold her ticket for the opening night of Oasis' reunion tour, Live '25, in Cardiff on Friday, July 4. Article continues below On Thursday the 23-year-old student had decided to travel to Cardiff for the day to protest. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher came under fire for his recent post on X (Image: GETTY ) "I've been I've been a huge fan since 2017," she told WalesOnline. "All of my adolescence I was just listening to Oasis – it got me through life and the music really saved my life. "But I kind of stopped being a fan two days ago because what Liam said is completely not acceptable. As an Asian and as a Chinese person I could not deal with it just by keeping silent and accepting what he was saying." She added: "I just can't participate in that anymore. Otherwise it will be disrespectful for my own community where I come from." Yue also said she was disheartened by the lack of response to Liam's comment. She said: "I felt people would need to speak up about it. "So if no-one talks about it it just add more pressure to everything. But I felt the need to say something. "It is not okay for someone to say something extremely racial, targeting an Asian community, on a social platform." Yue explained that she had sold her ticket on Wednesday, after the incident, as a "gesture" – two days before she was intending on heading to the Cardiff gig. Although she said she was sad about giving away her ticket she said she would be "completely heartbroken" if she attended the show. Being an avid fan Yue also said she had met Noel Gallagher a few times and issued an apology to the singer-songwriter for not attending the Cardiff show, saying she still admired him and his music. Despite Liam issuing an apology Yue explained she felt like it was not enough. "It was not sincere," she said. "It was not really an apology. I see it more as a PR strategy but it's not even enough for a PR move because what he said was extremely controversial and when people pointed it out he said: 'Whatever'. "He didn't see it as a problem. He then deleted that tweet. So he definitely feels it is not appropriate for him to say anything like that." While Yue said she would not be attending the gig she visited Cardiff a day before the gig as a protest. When asked about her reasons for protesting she said: "The C-word is not acceptable in any circumstances. "If Liam said the N-word or anything against transgender people the media would stand up for that community. But it seems like it's okay for people to treat and make fun of the Asian community like that." She added: "[The protest] is not coming out as an attack to Oasis but it's about defending our own right – it's about speaking up for our own community. It's about making the world right again." She continued: "My partner, he's white, his friends and people in the industry found it not acceptable. But they were just really surprised as nobody said anything about it. "I've been talking to loads in the Chinese community fan groups. They're completely shattered, they're completely heartbroken." Oasis will be performing in Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5, with fans flocking to the Welsh capital in the lead up to the event. Article continues below WalesOnline has approached Oasis' public representative for a comment.
