Sajal Ali posts photos with niece, says 'she got my eyes'

Express Tribune05-04-2025
Sajal Ali just lit up her Instagram account with the cutest family moment—and fans can't stop swooning.
The actor posted photos with her niece, the daughter of her sister Saboor Ali, and cheekily wrote in the caption: "She got my eyes." Honestly, the resemblance might be kind of uncanny.
As expected, the post didn't go unnoticed. Maya Ali dropped in with some love, and the comments section quickly turned into a fan fest, overflowing with heart emojis and sweet compliments.
It's rare to see such wholesome content in a scroll full of filters and edits—but Sajal's soft auntie vibes clearly hit a nerve in the best way.
Last month, Saboor Ali and Ali Ansari were blessed with a daughter. Announcing the happy news on Instagram, Saboor wrote, "Our tiny miracle, our biggest blessing. The sight of the smallest of hands leaving the biggest of impact is unbelievable. Welcome Serena Ali to the world. The magic awaits you."
The heartfelt note was attached to a black-and-white carousel of Saboor in the hospital bed and Ali standing by her side as they held their little one up. The post also featured the newborn baby's tiny feet and hands enveloped in her parents' hands.
Peers and fans congratulated the couple on the arrival of their little girl. "Masha Allah, Masha Allah. Many, many congratulations! Wishing your little princess a lifetime of love and happiness," wrote Maya Ali, while Ali Rehman said, "Congratulations, guys! Wonderful news. May Allah fill your lives with joy." Meanwhile, Serena's star aunt - Sajal Ali - wrote, "Welcome to the world little princess! We love you more than words can say."
Fans, on the other hand, expressed pleasant surprise at the news. "What a big surprise to your fans! Masha Allah, congratulations! May Allah keep her safe and bring her good luck," a user wrote.
Fans' sentiments stem from the fact that Saboor and Ali made no official announcement of the pregnancy prior to the post, though a clip from the godh bharai ceremony did circulate on social media in January. Speculation heightened after Saboor posted photos from her birthday celebration.

Biebergate2025: Justin Bieber impersonator performs at Las Vegas club after nightclub mix-up

Justin Bieber was announced on stage at a Las Vegas nightclub last weekend, but the performer was not the Grammy award-winning artist. Instead, the singer who joined DJ Gryffin at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas on August 16 was a Bieber impersonator. The DJ posted a video on Instagram explaining how he had been told that Bieber was at the venue and wanted to perform. 'His 'team' said he wanted to perform 'Sorry,'' a caption in the video read. Gryffin added that the look-alike not only resembled Bieber but also 'sounded like Justin Bieber.' The DJ later captioned the clip 'biebergate2025.' Wynn Las Vegas confirmed the mix-up in a statement. 'After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.' Footage showed the impersonator, with short hair, sunglasses and tattoos, singing the hit single 'Sorry' while Gryffin told the crowd, 'Bieber in the house, y'all.' After the performance, Gryffin was told the person on stage was not Bieber. 'No way,' he said, before being assured, 'Swear on my life.' The impersonator was later identified as French performer Dylan Desclos. His manager Julien Colas said in a statement that Desclos never claimed to be the real Bieber. Desclos allegedly ran up a $10,000 tab at the bar before being removed and permanently banned.

‘Christian Girl Autumn' influencer Caitlin Covington teary-eyed as she announces no fall videos this year

Influencer Caitlin Covington—widely recognized online as 'Christian Girl Autumn'—appears to be stepping away from her hallmark seasonal content this year. In a recent TikTok clip, Covington grew emotional while explaining she will not be posting her traditional fall videos, a move that left many fans surprised and concerned. On Reddit, one commenter described the video by saying she seemed 'legitimately torn up' to share the news. 'Christian Girl Autumn' influencer Caitlin Covington breaks down crying while announcing that she won't be posting fall videos this year. — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) August 20, 2025 Covington first gained viral fame in 2019 when a tweet joking that 'Hot Girl Summer' was ending and 'Christian Girl Autumn' was beginning unexpectedly turned her into the internet's 'face of fall.' Since then, she has embraced the role, building an audience of over 1.3 million Instagram followers with her autumn-focused content, from outfit styling to carefully curated trips to New England for foliage-filled backdrops. Her influence grew beyond memes. Covington launched her blog Southern Curls & Pearls in 2011 while studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later turned her seasonal aesthetic into a full-time career. She has partnered with major brands such as Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Lululemon, and has spoken about the meticulous preparation behind her content, which can require up to 100 hours of planning. Because of that history, her emotional announcement this year marks a noticeable break from a tradition her followers have come to expect. While she did not elaborate on her reasons for pausing, her absence from Instagram alongside the TikTok message has fueled speculation among fans. It remains uncertain whether Covington will resume her fall videos next year. For now, the influencer most closely associated with the season is giving herself a step back from the autumn spotlight.

Seth Meyers' dog Frisbee, notorious for feud with Andy Samberg, dies at 14

Seth Meyers has announced the death of his dog Frisbee, who was a regular source of affection and humour for the late-night host and his audience. The Italian Greyhound, aged 14, passed away this week, with Meyers sharing the news in an Instagram post. 'RIP to Frisbee, our OG IG who I was happy to go grey with,' Meyers wrote alongside photos from over the years. The tribute included a series of images showing Frisbee as a puppy, curled on Meyers' lap, and playing at home. The post prompted an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues. Rachel Dratch wrote, 'Noooo! Frisbeeee! sorry for your loss.' while Retta added, 'Awwww Frisbeeeeeee.' Sarah Paulson described Frisbee as 'Darlingest of the darling dogs' and Alyssa Milano called losing a pet the 'worst pain ever.' Frisbee also became a recurring topic on Late Night With Seth Meyers, particularly during appearances by Andy Samberg, who often joked about his dislike for the dog. During a virtual interview in 2020, Frisbee appeared on camera as Samberg held a note reading, 'Frisbee sucks.' Samberg later continued the running gag in 2023, referring to Frisbee as 'Seth's nightmare-inducing hell spawn.' Just last month, Meyers and Amy Poehler joked on her podcast about pretending Frisbee had died to trick Samberg, highlighting the long-running comedic rivalry.
