Inside Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty's relationship as they announce split
Cat, 48, and Patrick, 54, relocated from Los Angeles to London in 2020, after having lived abroad for more than a decade.
In a joint statement the couple have said: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.
'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.'
The So You Think You Can Dance host has been a staple of British TV since the late 1990s and even moved out to the US to present the dance competition.
Cat moved her entire family out to the states following her success but she and her comedian husband have moved back to London since.
She took over from Holly Willoughby on This Morning in 2024, reportedly keen to work alongside Rylan Clark as a co-host.
Cat was unveiled as the new host of This Morning, alongside Ben Shepard, in February 2024.
Earlier this year, it was revealed why Cat did not attend the funeral of Patrick's mother in County Down, Northern Ireland.
The presenter said she wanted to be there for her sons Milo, nine, and James, seven, before and after they finished school as they grieved the loss of their grandmother.
Her representative confirmed to MailOnline: 'Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.
Patrick is the host of The Late Late Show on Ireland's RTE One channel, he also presents a Saturday morning programme on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The star has recently interviewed the likes of Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, Jean Claude Van Damme, Take That and Jamie Dornan.
He was announced as the host last year, taking over as the show's fourth-ever presenter from Ryan Tubridy.
Before his turn as a late-night host, he was a stand-up comedian and toured in 2022 for the first time in seven years.
In 2003, Patrick co-presented the talent competition show Fame Academy on BBC One alongside his future wife, Cat.
Cat and Patrick met on the set but it would be years before they got together – partly as the Stars in Their Eyes presenter was married at the time.
After her split, she revealed she would 'love to tie the knot' one day and really admired her parents' 30 year marriage.
Slowly the friendship between the model and comedian devloped into a relationship and in 2012 they got married at an intimate ceremony in Rome, Italy.
He had won her over by flying out to Los Angeles to see her on her birthday, paying for her and all her friends.
'That's quite possibly the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me,' Closer magazine quoted her as saying. 'And he was just sitting there hanging out with 12 of my friends, making everybody laugh.
'It was romantic, noble, kind of amazing and pretty hard not to fall in love with him.'
They moved back to their North London home, ditching the £3.8 million Beverly Hills mansion with its lavish amenities – including pool, gym and sunshine.
The pair kept their kids fairly out of the spotlight but did occasionally post snaps together as a family on special occasions.
Cat and her family now reside in a £4.9 million 1950s home in leafy Hampstead, with Harry Styles as one of their famous neighbours.
Together the couple have two sons; Milo born in January 2016 and James who arrived two years later in June 2018.
Before welcoming James, Cat had shared with The Daily Mirror: 'I would love some more. But I have got to get on with it if I do.
'When you go for your check-ups they call you a 'geriatric mum'. That is the terminology they use, I swear.'
Before falling for Patrick, Cat was in a five-year relationship with public relationships executive, Mark Whelan.
They got together in 2000, tying the knot despite the presenter – then in her late 20s – saying she wasn't sure about marriage just yet. More Trending
The divorce was finalised in February 2006, as Cat upped sticks to the US and admitted that her focus was on work at the time.

British contender to play James Bond insists he ‘wouldn't be good at it'
Popular British star Taron Egerton has downplayed suggestions he could take on the currently vacant role of James Bond, claiming he 'wouldn't be good at it'. All eyes are still on lists of bookies' odds and fan favourites while we wait to see who will inherit 007's licence to kill after Daniel Craig retired from the role following 2021's No Time to Die. But Egerton, 35, who is easy to visualise in the role after his star-making turn in the Kinsgman franchise, thinks he's too 'messy' for the part. The three-time Bafta nominee instead believes there are 'so many cool, younger actors' who would be better suited to the coveted role. Asked about the possibility of playing Bond, he told Collider: 'I don't think I'm a good choice for it. I think I'm too messy for that. 'I think I'm not – I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig's tenure. But I think I wouldn't be good at it, and I think there's so many cool, younger actors who would be great for it. I think it would be wasted on me, probably.' Rocketman actor Egerton, who picked up a Golden Globe for his performance in the Elton John biopic, also observed that leading the Bond franchise is 'quite an undertaking'. He continued: 'That's not to say that I don't have aspirations and plans and also that I wouldn't be interested in doing something that's more commercial, because of course I would. I think I'm a period in my life where I've been probably following the things that speak to me on a creative level a little bit more, but, you know, I'm sure I won't feel that way forever.' The star also quipped that 'as far as I'm aware, nobody's asking me to do it'. Suggesting that this opportunity or similar is something he has weighed up before, Egerton was also realistic about its downsides, saying that playing Bond is 'possibly not quite the thing that would make me happiest'. 'I do think it's a big old undertaking, it kind of consumes your life, a role like that.' Egerton is currently promoting new indie crime thriller She Rides Shotgun, an adaptation of Jordan Harper's award-winning novel, after starring in Netflix's second most watched movie of all time, Carry-On. After well over a year of fevered speculation – ever since he was falsely reported to have officially landed the 007 gig, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has remained one of the front-runners to play Bond next. Fresh odds from Ladbrokes on Wednesday had him at 8/11, making him the first odds-on candidate in their eyes to be the next 007, after his appearance in 28 Years Later with Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes. Behind him is another hot favourite Callum Turner, next to be seen in A24 supernatural rom-com Eternity with Elisabeth Olsen and Miles Teller, and The Gentlemen's Theo James, both of whom are on 5/1. Slow Horses star and new Mr Darcy Jack Lowden is 6/1, and both Harris Dickinson and Tom Holland are 8/1. Egerton is currently 66/1 the bookmakers confirmed to Metro, having been bumped from 50/1 as recently as Friday. He started the year as 80/1 to be the next Bond, the same price as Sir David Beckham. His shortest odds were 25/1 just after he picked up his Golden Globe in 2020. Long-time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson made the surprising move of ceding complete creative control of the 007 film franchise to their producing partners at Amazon MGM Studios earlier this year – for a rumoured extra $1billion (£747.5m). Since that change of power, things are moving a little more quickly with Amazon already announcing Harry Potter's David Heyman and Spider-Man's Amy Pascal as the new producers shepherding the franchise. More Trending In June, Oscar-nominated Denis Villeneuve was announced as the director for Bond 26 – with Broccoli later sharing her support from afar for the 'fantastic filmmaker'. 'I'm thrilled he's going to be doing it,' she added to Mark Kermode during an appearance on his podcast Kermode on Film. He's previously had success with his Dune adaptation, Blade Runner 2049 and 2016 alien movie Arrival, which earned him a best director nod. With key figures in the team aboard, it seems casting can now finally begin in earnest. Got a story? 'My holiday in Croatia was nearly ruined by weather but Lidl hack saved me'
A group of holidaymakers were thwarted by unexpected rain on their sunny break in Croatia, and were forced to get creative with their footwear, with a supermarket chain coming to the rescue Thousands of Brits are jetting off to sunnier climes for their much-anticipated summer breaks, with the holiday season in full throttle and many are yearning for a dose of sunshine. Yet, one woman's vacation took an unforeseen twist that caught her completely off-guard. In a candid TikTok post, Anna, known as @ on the platform, divulged that despite eagerly awaiting her "whole year" for a foreign escape, the reality fell short of expectations. Astonishingly, it was Lidl that provided an unexpected lifeline in a most remarkable fashion. Anna documented her Croatian adventure, where she wittily insinuated that British weather has a tendency to tail you overseas, as shown by footage of tourists getting drenched in an abrupt rainstorm – hardly the scenario one envisions when travelling to a hotspot renowned for its radiant sun. The footage shows the moment the group, clad in summer attire and prepped for exploration, were caught off-guard by the downpour. Faced with conditions unsuitable for flip-flops, they resourcefully donned Lidl carrier bags over their feet. This makeshift life hack sent viewers into fits of giggles, with the spontaneous display of 'supermarket fashion' proving to be a hit of hilarity. The clip swiftly became an internet sensation, garnering thousands of views and sparking a flurry of comments, with users quick to make light-hearted remarks about the incident. One playful commenter quipped: "Be careful with those Lidl bags. My friend got temporary tattoos out of the logos in Croatia." Another joined in with praise, saying: "So stylish." A third person posed the question: "Lidl shoes?" Meanwhile, another individual recounted their time abroad, stating: "Haven't met any other Brits in Split yet. This weather would reunite us, I fear." Anna later admitted that while the weather did improve, it's important to maintain a positive outlook during your holiday, even when faced with less than sunny skies. What's the climate like in Croatia? The summer months are ideal for basking in the Croatian sun, especially along its scenic coast. July is celebrated for its scarce rainfall and abundant sunshine, but winter can introduce cooler and more humid conditions. With an impressive average of over 2,700 hours of sunlight annually and claiming more than 300 days of sun, Split has earned its status as a vibrant destination, as noted by the Intelligent Cities Challenge. However, be prepared for colder and rainier weather during the winter season in Split. And always bear in mind that weather predictions are not always reliable, particularly in popular holiday destinations where the weather can change unexpectedly.

Joanna Lumley let's slip filming update in major series announcement
Joanna Lumley shared an exciting update about one of her acting projects during an interview on ITV's This Morning Joanna Lumley graced the set of ITV 's This Morning on Wednesday (30 July) to discuss her recent acting endeavours with hosts Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes. The esteemed actress shared insights into her role in the upcoming second series of Wednesday as Grandmama Hester Frump, and also provided an exciting glimpse into the future of the beloved BBC series Amandaland. Having portrayed Felicity, Amanda's mother (played by Lucy Punch), Joanna was part of Amandaland's successful premiere in February, which quickly captivated television audiences. Following the announcement in March that Amandaland would return for a second series, Joanna teased the show's fans with potential dates for the new episodes during her appearance on the ITV1 programme. An eager Rochelle asked, "Will we see another season of Amandaland?" To which Joanna replied, "Yes. We start shooting in October," adding, "We finish shooting two days before Christmas. With any luck, it'll be out. Spring? I don't know." Joanna didn't hesitate to express her admiration for Amandaland and her co-star Lucy Punch, whom she described as "beautiful" and "very funny." Reflecting on their collaboration, she said, "I just adored it. It was so wonderful to meet up with Lucy Punch again, because I'd played her mother before," alluding to their previous work together on Motherland. She also touched upon the initial uncertainty surrounding Amandaland, given Motherland's popularity, saying, "The whole script is magic, written by the Motherland team. I think we wondered, as everybody adores Motherland so much, what's this going to be like? And it flew!" Discussing her portrayal of Amanda's mother, Joanna said, "It's divine. Originally, in Motherland, I was her mother, but I was there for long afternoons filming, sitting in a shop or something. I was just there as a reference. But then, when this took off, of course, I was her mother. I was there; I was established." Amandaland is a six-episode extension of the popular series Motherland, which also featured Lucy in the role of Amanda. The original show debuted on BBC One in 2017 and has since released two more series along with a Christmas special, reports the Mirror. The acclaim garnered by Motherland led to the conception of Amandaland, which charts the life of newly divorced Amanda as she tackles raising her teenage children upon relocating to South Harlesden in London. The stellar cast of the acclaimed BBC series includes Joanna and Lucy, alongside talents such as Philippa Dunne, Samuel Anderson, Siobhan McSweeney, Rochenda Sandall, Ekow Quartey, and Jack Veal.
