Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is dealing with a rough stretch of health issues following her in-ring return to Monday Night Raw. In addition to a recent breast implant injury, she revealed that she is also battling exhaustion and is set to undergo an MRI to determine the full extent of the damage. Speaking on the Nikki and Brie Show, the former Divas Champion opened up about how the physical toll of her schedule during SummerSlam week has left her feeling "run down." Nikki Bella's Painful WWE SummerSlam Week Nikki explained that the breast implant injury she suffered on the July 28th episode of Raw has had a domino effect on her health. The injury, caused by an elbow drop from Piper Niven, has made it difficult for her to breathe deeply. "Because I couldn't fully sneeze or cough or anything like that, I'm still congested. I'm so congested," she said. "I think it's because I've been run down." She detailed how her jam-packed schedule of media and fan events during SummerSlam week left her no time to recover. "My whole week was just going from one thing to the next with no time in between, and dealing with this bruising," she explained. "I'm getting an MRI tomorrow to know exactly what's going on." In 2015, at the height of her record-breaking reign as Divas Champion, she suffered a severe neck injury that required fusion surgery. Doctors told her that her in-ring career was over. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match She defied the odds and made a miraculous, albeit part-time, comeback, adopting the "Fearless" Nikki persona. Her ability to return from such a devastating injury is a testament to her incredible toughness. However, this history makes any new injury, especially one requiring an MRI, a major cause for concern. New WWE Feud in Question? Nikki Bella made her most recent return to WWE at the 2025 Royal Rumble. She has since entered into a new, high-profile storyline on Raw alongside "The Man" Becky Lynch. The new health issues now put the future of that program, and a potential match at the upcoming Clash in Paris premium live event, in serious doubt. The wrestling world now awaits the results of her MRI. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

LeBron James ‘addicted' to new hobby amid rocky Lakers offseason

He's not the first all-time great to hit the greens. Lakers superstar LeBron James posted on social media that he has a new addiction that has claimed many before him: golf. 'Addicted. I'm sorry. I know, yep, that's it. Yep. Rain and everything,' James said on his Instagram Story as the weather conditions worsened. Advertisement James, who was recently seen in St. Tropez with his wife, Savannah, wasn't getting excellent sunlight as rain poured down, but he continued to fight through and prepped to tee off. There has been some apparent tension between the Lakers and the 40-year-old James this offseason, as the franchise has gone all-in on new star Luka Doncic, whom they recently signed to a three-year, $165 million contract extension. When James exercised his player option for the 2025-26 season, his agent, Rich Paul, alluded to a potential trade request by reinforcing James' desire to compete for a championship next season. NBAE via Getty Images There were also conflicting reports about how James found out about Jeanie Buss reaching a $10 billion deal to sell the Lakers and whether informing Doncic was prioritized. Paul confirmed other teams had reached out to him regarding the possibility of a James trade, but for now, it appears the 21-time All-Star — whose son Bronny is entering his second year with the Lakers — will remain in purple and gold. James had played golf in the past, getting made fun of by Olympic teammate and friend, Stephen Curry, for having a baseball-like swing. 'Unbelievable impersonation of my guy [LeBron James] Bron's follow-through in the golf swing,' Curry joked in July. 'But we all want to welcome Lebron James to the world of golf because the game needs you, big fella.' Advertisement 3 James says he's addicted to golfing now as his offseason in Los Angeles stays rocky. Instagram, @KingJames James will need some practice, but perhaps he can improve after his NBA career is complete and do a match opposite Michael Jordan. The Bulls legend was a notorious golfer who sometimes played before games and surely would have an edge. Many other NBA players, past and present, went into golf as an outlet for their competitive energy, with others including Charles Barkley, Chris Paul, and many more.

"Like somebody moved in their younger, hotter girlfriend, but the ex-wife is still living in the house" - Bill Simmons on the bizarre Lakers' situation

"Like somebody moved in their younger, hotter girlfriend, but the ex-wife is still living in the house" - Bill Simmons on the bizarre Lakers' situation originally appeared on Basketball Network. Podcaster Bill Simmons thinks it's very weird that for the Los Angeles Lakers this summer, there appear to be two different storylines happening at the same time. On one side is Luka Doncic, the player they acquired in a blockbuster trade in February, who's had an unbelievable body transformation over the first two months of the summer break. Doncic was due for a contract extension last August 2nd, and he wasted no time signing a new deal while saying he can't wait to get back. Then on the other side is LeBron James, who will be playing in a record 23rd season at age 41. James continues to beat Father Time, and last season he was named to the All-NBA second team despite being in his 40s. James has been vacationing and playing golf in his social media videos. Still, recently, Bron has started to work out again, and his latest video showed him in a Clippers' facility. "The Lakers, so they announced the Luka extension. It's basically a two-year deal. He has a player option for the third year, and it sets himself up to make a kajillion dollars in 2028. And then LeBron's over there and he's Instagramming out his workouts. And the whole thing is just bizarre to watch," said Simmons. "LeBron James, who's been in control of every situation he's ever been in basketball-wise, who has always held the cards, and this is the first time ever where that's not the case. And now the Lakers. It's almost like watching somebody move in their younger, hotter girlfriend, but the ex-wife is still living in the house, taking selfies of themselves," he added. The LeBron-Luka duo heads to season 2 Much was said about the Lakers acquiring Doncic last season. Many said it was a clear sign that the Lakers are ready to move on from James. Others said that Luka would benefit from playing a couple of years with LeBron because he's going to show him how a true professional prepares and executes an NBA season. However, while the two proved last season that they could coexist and be successful — the Lakers finished third in the Western Conference last season — many wonder if their partnership is sustainable because LeBron has always been in control of his basketball career, and as Bill says, he isn't right now with the Purple & Gold pivoting their focus on Luka. "I'm riveted. I can't wait to see how this plays out from a media manipulation standpoint over the next two weeks. I have my fork, my knife, and my plate, my napkins ready to go," he the drama begin The soap opera that Simmons is expecting might have already started. The contrast of eight Lakers showing up for Luka's press conference and flying with him to Las Vegas to watch the Backstreet Boys in concert while LeBron and Bronny snub the occasion in favor of a father-and-son bonding on the golf course, adds more intrigue, even if it was reported that James face-timed Doncic to congratulate him for signing a $165 million three-year deal. LeBron's super agent added controversy several weeks ago when he said that he wants another opportunity to play for a championship and isn't sure if Los Angeles is the place to do that. Much was said about James not getting in touch with Deandre Ayton or Marcus Smart after they were acquired, while it was Doncic who recruited Smart and welcomed Ayton via text message. The Don also said in his press conference that Deandre, Marcus, and Jake LaRavia are going to be a big help for them this season. As Bill said, everyone can make something out of these stories, but the reality is that LeBron has never said anything against Luka or vice versa. Doncic has always showered James with the respect that he deserves, and the feeling is mutual on the other side. When the two were on the court last season, they had great chemistry and made winning plays. To the Purple & Gold, that's what really matters, not this new girlfriend or ex-wife story was originally reported by Basketball Network on Aug 5, 2025, where it first appeared.
