Where Oregon Ducks rank among top teams in EA Sports College Football 26

Yahooa day ago
The EA Sports College Football 26 video game is set to drop in a matter of weeks, so new details and trailers have been pouring out over the last months as fans prepare to dive back into the beloved gaming franchise and get onto the digital gridiron.
On Friday, the team rankings were released for the top 25 squads in the game, giving us a preview of who the best units will be in the game based on the overall rankings. Unsurprisingly, some of the teams at the top of the rankings are who you would expect — Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, etc.

But where do the Oregon Ducks fall? Down at No. 9. Here is a look at the full rankings:
It may be surprising to see the Ducks behind schools like Texas A&M and Clemson. Still, it's fair to acknowledge that there's some "need-to-see-it" skepticism surrounding Oregon going into 2025 with a new quarterback under center and a predominantly young and unproven roster, as talented as it may be.
In a majority of preseason rankings and polls, the Ducks are positioned higher on the list, typically between the 5-8 range; however, according to EA Sports, they sit lower on the list.

Oregon Ducks commit Koloi Keli wins OL MVP award at UA Maui Camp

The Oregon Ducks have had a long list of highly-rated players commit to the program over the past couple of weeks, including 5-star Immanuel Iheanacho and 5-star safety Jett Washington. It's understandable that during that stretch, a commitment from a 3-star might fly under the radar, but OL Koloi Keli is doing what he can to make some noise. Keli, one of Oregon's newest additions, turned heads at this weekend's Under Armour Maui Camp, winning the offensive line MVP award. Keli is rated as the No. 87 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 class, and one of three OL commits that the Ducks added in the past week, alongside Iheanacho and 4-star OL Tommy Tofi. Both Tofi and Keli were previously committed to the California Golden Bears before backing off of their commitments and joining the Ducks. Advertisement Keli stands at 6-foot-3, 290 pounds, and projects to play either guard or center down the road in Eugene. Oregon currently has the No. 11 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, with a few highly-rated targets left to come off of the board in the next couple of weeks. Ranking every Big Ten football 2026 recruiting class by average player rating (July 6)

The class of 2026 recruiting rankings continue to finalize with each passing week. With the June official visit schedule now complete, most programs have the core of their class committed. Commitments over the coming months will slow to a trickle, those updates only mildly affecting the overall team rankings. Those rankings did receive a major shift earlier this week when Oregon added five-star interior offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho. Iheanacho is the Ducks' third five-star commitment in the class. His addition sent the Ducks' relatively small class of 14 commitments up near the nation's top 10. When the cycle concludes later this year, none should be surprised if Oregon approaches the top five. Notably, Oregon currently boasts the Big Ten's best average player rating (93.15). While different from 247Sports' national team rankings, which give significant weight to commit volume, average player rating is an important metric to use when comparing the conference's top-ranked groups. With that, here is Oregon, Wisconsin and every Big Ten recruiting class of 2026 ordered by average player rating, plus where each falls on 247Sports' current national team rankings.
