Jeremy Clarkson bans customer from his pub over price complaint
Jeremy Clarkson has banned a prospective customer from his Cotswolds pub after they criticised its food prices.
Clarkson, 65, opened the doors to The Farmer's Dog pub near Burford, Oxfordshire, last August and has documented the lead-up to the launch on the latest series of his Prime Video reality show Clarkson's Farm.
The former Top Gear host didn't hold back when one Twitter/X user weighed in on the cost of dining at the establishment, which serves produce from Clarkson's nearby farm, Diddly Squat.
The social media user claimed that the price for one meal at The Farmer's Dog was 'a bit much', writing: 'Thought @JeremyClarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers. £24 for pie and veg is a bit much.'
Another detractor then chimed in with a comment about the price of British beef, claiming: 'Dead weight for British beef is far too expensive £6.89/kg for R4L [a term used for grading beef] down from the record high £6.98/kg earlier in the month.'
Clarkson then responded simply by stating: 'You are now banned from the pub.'
It's not the first time that Clarkson has laid down the law to bar potential customers from his new venture
Last year, a photo of The Farmer's Dog's 'people who are banned' list circulated on social media, with prime minister Sir Keir Starmer and Clarkson's former Top Gear and The Grand Tour co-star James May sharing the dubious honour of being the first two people to be barred.
May's Grand Tour colleague Richard Hammond has also previously joked that he is not allowed to visit the pub either.
Clarkson took over the venue, formerly known as The Windmill, in June 2024, intending to serve food and drink from local suppliers.
The concluding episodes of season four of Clarkson's Farm aired on Prime Video on Friday (6 June) and showed the broadcaster struggling to prepare for the pub's grand opening after mixing up the dates of the August bank holiday, with Clarkson eventually putting the finishing touches to the venue as customers queue up outside.

Jeremy Clarkson has sold his new Clarkson's Farm Lamborghini tractor for more than £70,000 after buying it for £85,000, according to auction house Cheffins. The green tractor was put up for sale under the agricultural tractors section in the Machinery and Vintage Auctions catalog for the auction house. There were 62 bids for the farming machine before it was sold to the highest bidder for £70,500 on Monday. Clarkson was pictured carrying papers at the auction in Sutton, near Ely, in Cambridgeshire. He was supported by his Clarkson's Farm co-star Cooper. Clarkson showed off his tractor on Clarkson's Farm series four after buying it second hand in scenes filmed in 2024. He invested in the farming machinery before buying his pub, The Farmer's Dog, which opened over the last August Bank Holiday weekend. On Clarkson's Farm series four, the presenter revealed that he had bought the Lamborghini tractor because the "silver one kept breaking down". But the new one broke down too, despite being "bigger" and "more powerful" as seen in a dramatic sequence on the Prime Video series. Viewers saw the new tractor for the first time in episode four — titled Cottaging — where the presenter was delighted to share his purchase with Diddly Squat Farm Manager Kaleb Cooper. He told him: "Aaahh. Check it out. It's a Lamborghini again!" Any Clarkson's Farm fan knows how much car-mad Clarkson loves his Lamborghini tractors. When Cooper wasn't convinced by the purchase, the TV personality said he was going to "hit him with some numbers". The Lamborghini tractor had 7.8 litres and 340 horsepower. Clarkson joked he was so high up in the tractor he could "eyeball" people working in the International Space Station. He followed it up with: "All those tractors I looked at the other day — those medium sized tractors, they were all around 120/180 [thousand pounds] kinda on the farm. 85! £85,000... Yorkshire haggling." Eventually Clarkson won Cooper over and the farm manager declared it was a "bargain". After climbing inside the tractor, Cooper claimed that the GPS in the tractor was "worth £10,000 on its own". Initially the ex-Top Gear star encountered some problems with the tractor because the controls were "more complicated" than his Lamborghini machine. Later, the tractor breaks down leading to a difficult conversation between Clarkson and his financial advisor Charlie Ireland. Ireland told him he had paid "far too much" for the machinery. "What?!" Clarkson exclaimed. "Come on, it looks fantastic." He made the further plea in front of the cameras: "Please allow me to have the tractor I like, please." Ireland shrugged his shoulders, saying he had no choice as Clarkson had already bought the tractor without speaking to him. The tractor then was out of action until the mechanic could fix it. Everyone says they're the best. Or I could have bought a Fastrac, because I'm friends with the JCB family. But obviously I wanted a Lamborghini. So that's what I've got. An R8 270 DCR, to be precise." He added: "Lamborghini was a tractor-maker long before it made cars, but the business was sold — along with the rights to the name — in 1973. ‘Summer I Turned Pretty' Cast's Hints About Possible Love Triangle Outcome and Season 3 Changes
The Summer I Turned Pretty cast is just as invested in the love triangle outcome as fans are — but what have they said about potential changes to the endgame relationship? Prime Video's hit series, which debuted in June 2022, is based on a book series of the same name by showrunner Jenny Han. The Summer I Turned Pretty focuses on Belly (Lola Tung) who gets caught up in a love triangle where after exploring her feelings for Conrad (Christopher Briney), she starts to reconsider whether his brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), is her perfect match. In the original book trilogy, Belly made her final choice in We'll Always Have Summer, which will presumably inspire the third season of the show. Arthur and his men are on a quest to find the Holy Grail, and they do some very silly things along the way. Arthur's duel with the Black Knight (Cleese) is particularly quotable even after 50 years. When the safety of Druidia's Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) is threatened by Skroob's nerdy enforcer, Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis), Bill Pullman does his best Han Solo impression while trying to save her as Lone Starr alongside his human/canine companion Barf (John Candy).Spaceballs is streaming on Prime Video. Joel and Ethan Coen made movies before Fargo, but this crime comedy was their critical and commercial breakthrough. Frances McDormand leads the cast as Marge Gunderson, a pregnant police chief who is investigating the kidnapping of Jean Lundegaard (Kristin Rudrüd).The Coen brothers reveal right away that Jean's husband, Jerry (William H. Macy), orchestrated the kidnapping to extort his wealthy father-in-law, Wade Gustafson (Harve Presnell). Jerry also vastly underestimated the stupidity of Carl Showalter (Steve Buscemi) and Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stormare), the two losers he hired to kidnap his wife. Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short play silent movie stars in Three Amigos, a film Martin co-wrote with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and Randy Newman. When the stars of the fictitious Three Amigos films ask for a raise, Lucky Day (Martin), Dusty Bottoms (Chase) and Ned Nederlander (Short) suddenly find themselves out of Mexico, a young woman named Carmen (Patrice Martinez) sees the Three Amigos movies and assumes that the actors are real heroes. She summons them to take on the bandit El Guapo (Alfonso Arau) and his men. Unfortunately for the trio, they don't realize they're really in danger until after they're staring down the bandits' guns. Three Amigos is streaming on Prime Video. Writer and director Richard Linklater clearly has an eye for talent, as several of his Dazed and Confused actors went on to become big stars. This is one of the earliest movies to feature Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Renée Zellweger, Milla Jovovich, Parker Posey and more. The story takes place in 1976 on the last day of high school as the incoming male and female freshmen are brutally hazed by their senior counterparts. Star football player Randall "Pink" Floyd (Jason London) considers himself above it all, and he won't even sign the same loyalty promise as his teammates. Pink and several of his classmates experience different sides of student life, some of which are very funny to watch.
