Gigi Hadid has joined celebrities and fans alike in paying tribute to Food Network and Worst Cooks in America star Anne Burrell after her death at the age of 55
Celebrities and fans have come together to pay sweet tributes to Anne Burrell following her death aged 55. The Food Network and host of Amazon Prime Video's Worst Cooks in America star died at home in Brooklyn it was confirmed on Tuesday.
Now, stars have been quick to pay their respects to the star, with Gigi Hadid among those sharing fond memories of the star. The model, 30, teamed up with the chef for the competition series Beat Bobby Flay in 2023. Sharing the heartwarming memory, Gigi uploaded a photo to Instagram from their joint TV appearance.
She wrote: "I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of the Great Anne Burrell. As a longtime fan, getting to share this day with her was a dream come true."
Gigi went on to reveal the duo "beat Bobby" as they enjoyed hanging out and grabbing food during thes show. She added: "I wish we could have done it again. She was awesome."
Wells Adams, a Bachelor Nation alum who also appeared on Worst Cooks also took to the social media platform to share an emotional tribute. He wrote: "I just heard about the passing of @chefanneburrell. I learned so much from you on Worst Cooks. I know you'll be cooking up a storm in heaven. RIP."
Carla Hall, who appeared on Top Chef, told PEOPLE: "She was fierce, funny, and an incredibly talented cook and teacher—someone who brought so much fire and joy to everything she did. I was lucky to work alongside her on Worst Cooks and other nonprofit events. She will be deeply missed."
And fellow Food Network personality Aarti Sequeira said on Twitter /X: "The first time I met Anne Burrell, she gave me tough love I didn't want—but needed. She was bold, warm, and real.
"I still hear her in my kitchen: 'Brown food tastes good!' Anne, you'll be missed. Thank you for teaching us all. #luckygirl."
Comedian Loni Love also took to the platform, sharing a snap of the pair alongside the tribute: "Anne Burrell's passing has left me in shock and sorrow. She was a gifted chef, and an extraordinary person.
"Chef Anne was the same on and off camera. She would just check on me out the blue. I will miss her tremendously. My condolences to her husband, family, & fans. Rest Chef"
The tributes came after the Food Network broke the news on their page. "We are deeply saddened to share the news that beloved chef, Anne Burrell, passed away this morning," the statement on Tuesday read.
"Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent – teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne's family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss."
Anne's big TV breakthrough came in 2010 when she first started hosting the brutal Worst Cooks in America alongside Beau MacMillan. The show saw the professionals take contestants through a "culinary boot camp" on their journey to become better chefs.
Since its launch, the show has had 28 seasons, many of which can be watched on Amazon Prime Video. Other projects - mostly on Food Network - have included Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell, a series which saw her take chef candidates through the toughest job interview of their lives in a bid to work at some of the best stateside restaurants.

R Kelly begged for Trump's help before 'murder plot' that saw him overdose
The lawyers representing disgraced musician R Kelly believe U.S. President Donald Trump is 'the only person with the courage to help us'. The American singer and producer, real name Robert Sylvester Kelly, was once credited as 'the King of R&B'. However, in 2019 his career came to a crashing halt when he was arrested and then sentenced to 31 years behind bars for racketeering and sex trafficking charges involving the sexual abuse of minors. Last week it emerged that Kelly's lawyers had filed an emergency motion calling from his immediate release from federal custody to home detention over concerns his life 'was in danger'. The 58-year-old's attorney Beau B. Brindley claimed they had 'explicit evidence that officials solicited an inmate to murder him while in custody'. It was then reported yesterday that Kelly had been rushed to hospital after overdosing, with his lawyers claiming prison staff intentionally 'gave him an amount of medicine that could have killed him.' Here's everything we know so far. For decades Kelly had faced repeated accusations of sexual abuse, also being tried in multiple civil and criminal trials. In 2019 the documentary Surviving R. Kelly re-investigated his alleged sexual misconduct with minors, which lead to authorities looking into the claims made against him again. In 2023 Kelly was then sentenced to 20 years in prison for child sex crimes in Chicago while already serving a 30-year prison sentence over sex trafficking and racketeering charges in New York. The judge ruled he could serve 19 years at the same time, meaning the child sex crimes only added one year to his existing sentence. His convictions included three counts of coercing minors into sexual activity and three of producing sex tapes involving a minor. Last week Kelly's lawyers claimed they had 'explicit evidence that officials solicited an inmate to murder him while in custody'. They filed a motion to get him out of prison immediately after providing a sworn declaration from Mikeal Glenn Stine, a terminally ill inmate, who said that officials 'offered him freedom in his final days in exchange for Kelly's murder'. Stine, a member of the neo-Nazi prison gang Aryan Brotherhood, claimed officials told him he would be charged with Kelly's murder, but that evidence would be mishandled and there would be no conviction. Although Stine said he changed his mind about carrying out the murder, Kelly's lawyers have claimed another member of the gang was then ordered to kill both Kelly and Stine. 'The threat to Mr. Kelly's life continues each day that no action is taken,' they wrote in the filing. A few days later Kelly was rushed to hospital after the overdose, which his lawyers say was orchestrated by prison officials. 'This was no mistake. It was a dose that jeopardised his life and could have ended it. Speaking to People, Brindley said Kelly was 'not safe in federal custody' and keeping him behind bars was 'cruel and unusual punishment'. The Bureau of Prisons and the White House declined to comment when approached by several publications. Last week Brindley said Kelly's legal team had turned to Trump for assistance, explaining he also understood what it felt like to be 'victimised' by the legal system. They are appealing for Kelly to either be granted a pardon or have his sentence commuted. 'We are in open discussions with people close to President Trump. And those discussions have expanded and intensified since we filed our motion,' Brindley told People. In a statement to USA Today, he also said that Trump was the 'only person with the courage and the power to fight corruption in the prosecution of public figures and stomp it out'. Brindley went on to say the need for a pardon became 'more imminent by the day', claiming that Kelly has now been thrown into solitary confinement and 'cannot make phone calls to his family'. He is also reportedly refusing to eat over concerns his food 'could be poisoned'. Although Kelly does not have a personal relationship with Trump, he was a longtime resident of the Trump Tower in Chicago. The President has not yet commented on Kelly's pleas, but did say last month during an Oval Office press briefing that he would consider pardoning Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is facing similar criminal charges in the same federal court as Kelly. 'I would certainly look at the facts. If I think someone was mistreated it wouldn't matter whether they like me or don't,' he said. More Trending Prosecutors have opposed the request to release Kelly to home detention, sharing in a statement that he was a 'prolific child molester'. 'He is unapologetic about it. Kelly has never taken responsibility for his years of sexually abusing children, and he probably never will.' Rod Stewart's record breaking hope after health issues force him to cancel gigs
Sir Rod Stewart is set to take to the Legend stage at Glastonbury next weekend despite a run of recent health setbacks. The Maggie May icon, 80, caused concern amongst his fans last week when he was forced to cancel a run of gigs due to illness, throwing his much-anticipated set at the iconic UK festival into doubt. Rod axed six shows, four of which were in Nevada including two at Caesars Palace, as well as two in California. Sir Rod took to Instagram to say he was under 'strict doctor's orders' to rest his voice as he apologised for having to reschedule. He added: "I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu. "So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon." But anyone who has tickets for Glastonbury and is worried they might not see the legend in action in his Sunday, June 29 slot should be rest assured the megastar is at the top of his game when it comes to health and fitness, despite his recent issues with the flu, and he's even hoping to break a world-record for sprinting soon. The Celtic-daft star has got a race track in the garden of his Essex home and has been practicing furiously. He told AARP magazine: "I got it [his 100m time] down to 19 seconds by learning how to push off. I'm going to try and do 17 seconds, which I think is a world record for an 80 year old." Rod says he likes to keep himself in shape, and revealed he's worked with the same personal trainer for the past 38 years. He added: "I keep myself very fit, I played soccer all my life – don't so much anymore, because I had a knee replacement. And I've always had a trainer – same guy for 38 years. I have an indoor pool, massive gym, golf course, everything." Rod also revealed that he is inspired by another legendary crooner when it comes to his strict fitness regime - the late Frank Sinatra. He said: "We do a lot of underwater training, where the trainer throws a brick into the pool and I have to dive in, push the brick to the end of the pool, and come up. Frank Sinatra once said to me 'Rod, the secret to being a great singer is having powerful lungs. Do lots of underwater swimming, where you hold your breath'." The dad of eight recently announced that he will reunite with his former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood for his Glastonbury gig, and he expressed some dissatisfaction at the allocated length of his set - showing he's more than ready to put on a great show for the crowds. Speaking on the That Peter Crouch Podcast, he told the former footballer he was only due to play for an hour and a quarter on the Pyramid Stage. "I've asked them 'Please, another 15 minutes' because I play for over two hours every night and it's nothing," he said.
