Popular Chipotle Burrito Vault giving away $1 million in free food. Tips for winning

Yahoo01-04-2025

In time for National Burrito Day on April 3, Chipotle has relaunched its popular game offering the chance at free food.
"Last year, our Burrito Vault drove unprecedented fan engagement that resulted in our highest digital transaction day of all time," said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer. "Now, we are giving them another chance to crack the code and score more free burritos."
Here's how to play and win.
Chipotle is giving away more than $1 million in free burritos through the Burrito Vault game, the company states in a press release.
Every hour through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, the restaurant chain is offering 2,500 buy-one-get-one free entrée codes to Chipotle Rewards members who unlock the vault at UnlockBurritoDay.com. Chipotle is giving away up to 157,500 BOGO codes.
To unlock the vault, players must guess the exact burrito order combination, ingredient by ingredient. And that combination changes every hour.
In addition to the BOGO codes, Chipotle has two new prizes waiting in the Burrito Vault this year.
First, players who unlock the vault after all the BOGO codes have been redeemed will receive 25 points in their Chipotle Rewards account one time during the campaign, while available.
Second, the first player to unlock the vault each hour will win free burritos for a year (awarded as 52 rewards credits for regular entrées).
You only get four chances to guess the correct combination to the vault. Fortunately, there are systems to help you narrow it down.
Food influencer snackolator shared his "patented strategy" on Instagram. Here's what he suggests:
Entrée: "It doesn't matter what you choose because you get 4 tries, so don't worry about this one."
Rice: "Choose both because they'll let you know what's wrong."
Beans: "(Same as rice)."
Protein: "Choose any two to help narrow it down."
Salsa: "Choose all four on first try."
Toppings: "Same as Salsa."
Extras: "Choose both."
Once players submit their guess, the website will them what needs to be fixed for choices 2-4, snackolater writes, putting an "X" over what's wrong. And if they're all wrong, choose none.
"If you use my patented strategy you should be able to get this solved in 4 times or less almost every time," snackolater writes.
Chipotle has 258 restaurants around Ohio, according to its website. Those include six in Akron, four in Canton, 23 in Cincinnati and 21 in Columbus.

Chipotle is Giving Away Free Burritos for An Entire Year—Here's How to Win

Chipotle is Giving Away Free Burritos for An Entire Year—Here's How to Win originally appeared on Parade. If I'm being honest, I've been called extra quite a few times in my lifetime. I love a good dramatic sting, and I will forever live for an over-the-top, suspenseful episode of Paradise or The White Lotus. I'm a murder mystery fanatic, and if there's a new true crime documentary out about anything, you better believe I'm watching it. Sure, I could be more milquetoast and leave my confetti at the door, but cocktails are better with glitter bombs and gumbo is better extra spicy. 😋😋🍳🍔 I can't help that I was born with eyes bigger than my stomach and a taste to chase dreams larger than the universe. Everyone else should just catch up. Of course, there is one restaurant chain that knows a thing or two about being a little extra, and this summer they're giving away more than you can imagine (and hopefully silencing those portion size allegations in the process.) That's right, my 'couldn't care less if guac is extra', friends. Chipotle is kicking off an entire Summer of Extras, a new three-month program that rewards Rewards members with free burritos from June 1 to August this Sunday, rewards members who reach predetermined milestones can rack up additional points and score a shot at winning the ultimate prize—a coveted (and only slightly extra) limited-edition stainless steel Chipotle card good for free burritos for an entire year. And if that's not enough, Chipotle is giving away a whopping 10,000 free burritos every week. If you choose to participate, it's worth noting that milestones will reset each month, giving guests more chances to earn all summer long. Weekly entry periods begin each Sunday at 12 AM Pacific Time and end every Saturday at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. In totality, you can earn up to 60 entries into the sweepstakes each week, as well as over 650 rewards points if you can commit to eating Chipotle four times a week. If you haven't already signed up for Chipotle Rewards, you can also snag a free guac after your first order, but we're sure you're already a part of the club. Chipotle might be more extra than I am. Michigan State basketball star Jase Richardson partners with Chipotle

Michigan State basketball star Jase Richardson partners with Chipotle Former Michigan State basketball star Jase Richardson has partnered with a big-time restaurant chain. Richardson posted on Tuesday that he has "Ready for the next step with" Chipotle. The post included "#ChipotlePartner" which would suggest Richardson has signed some type of advertising or marketing deal with the well-known and popular burritos, tacos and bowls chain restaurant. Check out the post from Richardson below: Richardson is moving on to the NBA after a stellar true freshman season at Michigan State this past year. He averaged over 12.1 points per game and shot above 40% from three-point range, which has landed him as a fringe lottery pick in the NBA Draft later this month. Richardson was a fan favorite during his lone season at Michigan State, and I'm sure this deal will only help boost that for those who also enjoy Chipotle. If anything, it'll at least put a little extra dough in Richardson's pockets and I'm sure result in some free burritos as well.
