Egyptian Sources: Negotiations According to Witkoff Proposal as Only Way to Release Hostages - Jordan News
Egyptian sources reported that Israel has not responded to the mediators' proposal, which Hamas accepted, even after 24 hours of receiving it. The sources stated that the proposal accepted by Hamas is guaranteed by the United States. They noted that the Israeli government faces a real test to secure the release of the hostages, emphasizing that negotiations based on the U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff's proposal are the only path to their release. اضافة اعلان According to the sources, the proposal ensures a comprehensive deal that would lead to the release of all hostages. Hamas informed the Egyptian and Qatari mediators on Monday of its acceptance of a ceasefire proposal in Gaza, according to a Hamas source speaking to the press. Negotiations are ongoing to reach a potential agreement for a 60-day truce and the release of half of the Israeli hostages still held in Gaza. Over the past 22 months, mediators' efforts have failed to achieve a lasting ceasefire since the war began on October 7, 2023. The new proposal follows the Israeli Security Cabinet's approval of a plan to take control of Gaza City in the northern sector, amid international warnings of widespread hunger in the devastated and besieged territory, which is on the brink of famine. Currently, 49 people remain held in Gaza, including 27 deceased, according to the Israeli army. Hamas had taken 251 individuals into Gaza during its attack on Israel, releasing most of them in two batches. (Al-Mamlaka)

Inauguration of First CNG Filling Station for Buses, Trucks, and Vehicles from Risha Field - Jordan News
Inauguration of First CNG Filling Station for Buses, Trucks, and Vehicles from Risha Field Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh inaugurated on Wednesday in Muwaqar the first independent station dedicated to buses, trucks, and vehicles, using gas produced from the Risha field. اضافة اعلان The station belongs to the National Advanced Natural Gas Company 'Watani,' a partnership between Jopetrol and Jordan Liquefied Gas Company, specializing in compressed natural gas (CNG) filling. This station is the first of its kind in Jordan, marking a key step toward integrating locally produced natural gas into the market, supporting reliance on domestic energy sources, according to a ministry statement. Al-Kharabsheh stated that the government plans to increase production at the Risha field to 418 million cubic feet per day, following studies confirming commercial quantities. He also mentioned a new tender to drill 80 additional wells and efforts to open a domestic market for natural gas, including supplying the industrial sector. The Ministry of Energy aims to expand natural gas usage and create an attractive local market for investment in line with economic modernization and energy diversification plans. The ministry emphasized that national efforts focus on raising production levels from the Risha field to serve the local community and strengthen the Kingdom's energy security. Jordan Liquefied Gas Company is the first to establish a dedicated station for processing Risha gas, produced by the National Petroleum Company, to supply various economic sectors in the Kingdom. Last week, the Cabinet approved the 2025 Gas Law draft, which will be referred to the House of Representatives for formal legislative procedures. The new law provides a modern regulatory framework for gas and hydrogen derivative activities, enhancing the national energy infrastructure. The draft law covers multiple gas types, including natural gas, biogas, biomethane, and hydrogen, reflecting legislative flexibility to accommodate the global transition to clean energy.
