
Search intensifies for missing motor influencer after car found in river
The victim, Tengku Nizaruddin Tengku Zainudin, known online as Ija, was last seen on July 14, leaving Johor Baru for Parit Jawa in separate vehicles with his brother for business.
His white Perodua Axia was discovered by the public around 3pm yesterday, 4.5 nautical miles in a riverside plantation area.
Despite recovering the vehicle, rescue teams have yet to locate Tengku Nizaruddin.
District Fire and Rescue chief Norshuhada Amsari said search efforts, now in their second day, involve 45 personnel from Muar and Pagoh fire stations, the police, and a scuba unit. The operation so far covers a 10km radius via river and land routes.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz urged witnesses to contact the Muar police hotline at 06-9564800.
Meanwhile, the victim's brother Tengku Abdul Aziz made an appeal to the public to stop spreading unverified claims of Ija's death.
