Step Inside the Secret World of MiMi Mei Fair – Dubai's Most Transportive New Dining Experience

Hidden behind lacquered doors in Downtown Dubai's Opera District, MiMi Mei Fair is more than a restaurant – it's an immersive world built on fantasy, femininity, and flavour with opulent interiors, theatrical storytelling, and Cantonese classics reinvented with style and soul. If dining were a fantasy novel, MiMi Meì Faìr would be the glowing, gilded chapter you'd never want to end. Tucked inside Address Residences Dubai Opera, this magical Chinese restaurant – born in London and now dazzling in Dubai – is the brainchild of hospitality powerhouse Samyukta Nair. Think decadent dishes, storybook interiors, and a sprinkle of Empress-approved drama. With her unique flair for blending hospitality and storytelling, Nair brings the London-born concept to life in Dubai with spellbinding interiors – each room boasts a unique aesthetic – and a menu that marries the rich flavours of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore with modern finesse. The moment you step inside, it feels like entering a cinematic universe. Each room tells a different story – whether you're sipping cocktails under the seductive glow of the Moon Bar, hosting a celebration in the richly decorated Peacock Room, enjoying an intimate gathering in the Library, settling into the drama of the Parlour, or dining al fresco on the chic Garden Terrace with Burj Khalifa views, every setting is designed to feel like a different universe. And let's talk about the food. The menu takes you on a flavour-packed journey from Sichuan to Shanghai, featuring dishes that are comforting, creative, and seriously moreish. At the heart of the menu is the apple wood-fired Peking duck – carved tableside in true ceremony – alongside standout plates like golden crispy prawn toast, sweet and sour chicken done right, Singapore chilli prawns, and spicy tofu with just the right amount of kick. The cocktails? Gorgeous. And the passionfruit cheesecake? A silky, tangy dream. MiMi Meì Fàir is a place that doesn't just serve dinner – it sets a scene. Whether you're gathering your glam squad, planning a chic date night, or just want to treat yourself to something extra, this is the spot that delivers. From the mood lighting to the mouth-watering menu, every inch is dripping in character and charm. Step through the velvet curtain, pick your fantasy room, and let MiMi Meì Faìr do the rest.

Promoting environmental values As part of its commitment to supporting young people and promoting environmental values among new generations, Al Hamriyah Municipality continues its active participation in the Sharjah Sports Summer 2025 - Our Holiday is Different activities. This workshop is organised in cooperation with the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club and under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), within a comprehensive vision that combines education, entertainment, and creativity. The workshop, held on Tuesday amidst an enthusiastic atmosphere and remarkable interaction, offered participants a unique experience in designing and crafting masks inspired by famous cartoon characters using recycled materials, promoting environmental awareness and reuse in their daily lives. The diverse activities contributed to developing the participants' aesthetic sense and artistic imagination in a simple yet purposeful manner. The workshop was led by Sheikha Jamal Al Shamsi and Maryam Humaid Al Shamsi, from the Corporate Communications Department at Al Hamriyah Municipality. They presented a pioneering model of positive interaction with children, presenting the workshop using an educational methodology that blends interactive learning with creative play, a process that was greatly appreciated by the participants and their parents. Prioritising childhood and youth Commenting on the event, His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, emphasised that the municipality's participation in the "Our Holiday is Different" activities falls within the framework of its commitment to supporting the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah to build a cohesive society that prioritises childhood and youth and adopts meaningful programmes during the "Year of Society 2025." Al Shamsi explained that Al Hamriyah Municipality adopts an integrated strategy based on engaging national cadres in the preparation and implementation of initiatives targeting young people and adolescents, working to develop their intellectual, creative, and environmental skills within a safe and stimulating educational environment. He noted that this workshop represents one of the fundamental building blocks in building an educated, aware, and environmentally friendly generation. Balancing entertainment and education Al Shamsi added that the partnership with Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club is a model of effective institutional cooperation, enhancing the societal impact of summer initiatives and creating an ideal balance between entertainment and education. He noted that the municipality will continue to offer a series of awareness-raising and recreational workshops and activities until the end of July, as part of the Sharjah Summer Programme. Al Shamsi emphasised Al Hamriyah Municipality's commitment to its societal role in enhancing quality of life and building the capacities of children and adolescents, noting that summer programmes represent a golden opportunity to instill positive values and invest free time in purposeful activities that build minds and contribute to shaping a bright future for future generations.
