
Netflix finally confirms Emily in Paris season 5 release date with stunning new location
The eagerly awaited fifth season of Emily in Paris finally has a release date, and fans can expect another fresh look for the popular Netflix series.
First launched on the streaming platform in 2020, the successful comedy-drama centres around fashion-savvy Emily Cooper (portrayed by Lily Collins), who relocates from Chicago to Paris after securing a role at a prestigious French marketing firm.
As she navigates her new environment, she quickly forms new friendships and becomes embroiled in complex romantic situations.
In the fourth season, viewers saw Emily leaving the French capital for the first time to find her footing in Rome.
The upcoming fifth season continues Emily's journey in Rome and introduces Venice as an additional setting, reports the Mirror.
Netflix has confirmed that all 10 episodes of the fifth instalment will be available from Thursday, 18th December.
The new season will revisit Emily in her role as the head of Agence Grateau Rome, where she continues to grapple with professional and personal challenges as she settles into yet another new home.
The official synopsis reads: "But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks.
"Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships.
"Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities."
In line with the announcement of the release date, Netflix has unveiled an enticing first glimpse at the new series, showcasing lead actress Collins as the stylish main character alongside her supporting cast.
Returning for the fifth season are Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, Bruno Gouery as Luc, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, William Abadie as Antoine, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, and Ashley Park as Mindy.
The season welcomes new faces including Bryan Greenberg as Jake and Michèle Laroque as Yvette in recurring roles.
Main cast member Camille Razat will not be reprising her role as Camille after her storyline concluded last season and the actress chose to depart and explore other ventures.

Brown stressed the importance of family during the 2024 premiere of her Netflix film Damsel, where Bongiovi and his parents were in attendance. 'I'm just so lucky that they're here tonight and it just means so much to me,' Brown told The Associated Press then. 'Family is everything and just to have my second family here means everything.'
